Tell how long you have been studying astrology and if you are a professional astrologer or not. What is your career.

Been dabbling in astrology for the past 7 years or so. By no means professional..no even close! I just enjoy this as a guilty pleasure I'm a college student.

Found astrology (in depth) about a year ago when looking for more of Linda's books after reading sun signs.
I actually started researching people and personalities about 4/5 years ago through music and the effect of the same in the brain. From there I went to the difference between men and women....well, I am still searching.

I do real estate for living and have a extensive background on banking and investements.
So, I make no money anymore
wow, that last line bites!

I've been studying astrology for about 4 years now. I started looking into the whole matter because astrology seemed like it could help me gain a better understanding of not only my own behavior and actions but also other people's. And it really did!!! I first started looking at natal charts and from there went on to synastry, composite and Davison charts. I like listening to the opinions of different professional astrologers (where I live we have a couple of shows on TV and the radio from professional astrologers ... a great way to learn). At first I was confused by all those differing opinions but I finally managed to come up with my own concepts. Right now I'm studying transits and progressions.

That being said, it goes without saying that I'm by no means a professional astrologer. I'm still learning and astrology never fails to amaze me by its accuracy.

I'm a soon-to-graduate college student majoring in business.

Since I was a child I was always interested in astrology in a superficial way (I knew my sun sign and ascendant, nothing more). About 3 years ago a friend gave me Linda's relationship signs book and I've been hooked ever since.
It started out as a way to decipher the dynamics of the long term relationship I had just come out of (on my terms), and an inexplicable crush I had on someone I'd barely met.
So I guess I started with synastry, lol! So typical of me to try and do things the hard way (ie: a$$ backwards!).
I took a step back and focused on natals (my own mainly, though I especially love the way the sun/moon/asc combinations play out in people) and that made me realise just how pointless synastry knowledge is without knowing much about natals!
So its been 3 years of intensive learning for me, the more I learn about natals the more I know I've got a long way to go before I can tackle synastry or any other off shoot with any certainty- of course I know the basics though!

Thats why the more I learn the more I hate the fuss about asteroids! Natals are complicated enough to get a solid 'feel' for, throw synastry in and thats far more to process so I don't know why people skip to the asteroids! (Admittedly I used to love them as they explain a hell of a lot in the synastry between myself and the only man I've truly loved- but the same thing is already in our natals and synastry anyway once I'd looked properly).

So for me? Not much experience really. For a living I work with physically disabled people and raise my 2 kids, dog and horse. I like it

P.S. Latest fascination is horary astrology, incredibly hard to master but I'm picking up the basics.

Well, I've been studying astrology since the 8th grade - which makes it 40 years now. Professionally for 25+ years.

I first started because my family was so strange and I wanted to understand why my mom was the way she was and my sister was the way she was. There weren't any anstrology books to speak of back then, so I would do people's charts, other friends (also in the 8th grade) watch what happened to them when transits hit key points and learned to understand the person from the chart. Then at 18, I began to study numerology - the numerology of the birth date and found that the three major cycles (using the birth date such as 23 May 1984) provided the three major transitions similar to astrology, moving from the Moon sign, to the Sun sign and to the Rising Sign. That really provided a good understanding of the qualities and traits that were working within each person. Having the knowledge of astrology and numerology is a great tool to "understand" and connect with others on a very deep and personal level - most of the time without others knowing how they are so well understood. It's a great science - a vast array of correlative statistics that show the true ingredients of each person, yet the personal will and expression provides the spark.
