I have poor lonely Venus in the 9th house, unaspected...
is that an indication of no marriage in my future? I've had a string of bad relationships in my past and could never hold one. Can anyone give me an interpretation to keep my hopes up ?

With Venus in the Ninth House the areas of life where you are most likely to express your social, romantic and artistic qualities are through a love of philosophy, study, intellectual interests, travelling abroad for pleasure, religion and art. A wise, relaxed and pleasantly philosophical attitude towards life is very apparent, and you may dream of living in an idealistic world that is beautiful and peaceful. A love of religious music and art is probable. Marriage may be to a foreigner, or one with the same religious or cultural views.

Maybe you've just been searching in the wrong places

I don't need to look at your chart to help you keep your hopes up
Chin up, gal!! Just because an orbiting nearly-molten ball of rock and poisonous gas happened to be in a certain part of the sky when you were born, and not making any mathematical angles to other balls of gas and rock in the sky, doesn't mean you will never have a satisfying and intimate relationship. YOU are in charge, not a planetary body
NO ONE is EVER doomed or condemned to be alone.
It depends on a lot of other factors.....
Like, how diligently are you willing to work on your *own* self-improvement?? What are your expectations, and what are you willing to settle for?? Be the best YOU you can be, every day, and you will attract into your life what you need. Here's a few empowering quotes from famous astrology writers:

From Steven Forrest: http://www.stevenforrest.com/lovehandles.html ~

To me, in the realities of the astrological counselling room, there are
two immutable premises:

There is no manner of astrological interaction between two people that
is so inherently sweet that enough selfishness, confusion about sex, or
immaturity cannot turn it sour.

There is no manner of astrological interaction between two people that
is so inherently bitter that enough patience, devotion, and humility can
not only make it last, but make it something precious to both people.

From Marcia Sacks: http://www.mountainastrologer.com/sacks1000.html ~

Just as there is variety but no perfection in horoscopes, there can be love and companionship but no happily-ever-after in relationships. However, even folks with very difficult horoscopes can have healthy, successful relationships if they can accept that relationships require work. I think of it like gardening: You need seeds, soil, nourishment, water, and maintenance to grow something of beauty.

Remember that relationships are not a cure for depression. Other people cannot obliterate your feelings of loss, lack, and limitation. If you feed yourself positivity through affirmation and imagery, if you pat yourself on the back and nurture yourself, you will begin to attract more positive, supportive people in your life.

From Bill Herbst: http://www.billherbst.com/ ~

Human beings are not signs of the zodiac, and astrology neither reveals nor determines the quality of our consciousness. The expresson of our charts is largely a function of our maturity, rather than the other way around. Our species is chock full of human beings who are mired in seemingly permanent adolescence, no matter what their age or elevation in culture. In terms of spiritual development, you can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make him drink. Nonetheless, the water exists. We choose.

I don't think there's anything "bad" in astrology. Any aspect or placement can teeter one way or another. It's what you do with your chart that makes all the difference in the world.
