NEW YORK, Dec. 10 (UPI) -- A U.S. scientist who was fired in New York
after suggesting blacks are less intelligent than whites likely had a
black ancestor, a genome analysis has found.

A genome analysis performed on the DNA of James Watson, a 1962 Nobel
Prize winner in medicine who was fired from a New York research
laboratory after suggesting black Africans are not as intelligent as
whites, found that 16 percent of the scientist's genes likely came
from a black ancestor of African descent, The Independent reported Monday.

I laughed when I first read it. I really thought it was ironic. Talk about poetic justice. It could be that a lot of people that are racist towards other ethnic groups might actually have a significant amount of an ethnicity that they are racist against just like in Dr. Watson's case.

I checked out Eris and its Nodes in regards to diversity, bigotry, racism issues based on research that I have been doing.

I checked the asteroids, 11207 Black,1193 Africa,6391 Africano,8766
Niger for Black/African descent
as well as 55555 DNA

Ah, but - to play devil's advocate - those 16% of genes could JUST AS EASILY have come from a white ancestor.
The scientists didn't mention WHICH genes they were, by any chance?

But it just goes to show what fruitless arguments are put forward in the name of science and under the pretence of academia. And scientists will always manipulate data curves to suit their point.

Like when they say "73 from a sample of 75 = A" that's generally because most of the original sample (750) equalled B.

Which brings us down to earth, and proves that all these little scientific so-called arguments are just soundbytes - just puff, but sadly very humanoid.

They said black genes. Not white genes. That's why they said that 16 percent of his genes likely came from a black ancestor which corresponds with a black great grandparent. They also said 9 percent of his genes are Asian too.

also a lot of lightskinned people with black passed for white so they didn't have to deal with racism, discrimination, and segregation and they mixed with whites.

My stepfather's mother was lightskinned that she looked white, and she passed

Watson was also a thief (he and Crick). Their discovery of DNA was really not their own but belongs to a team that involved a female. He (Watson) also felt that females were inferior. Guess he forgot where he got half his DNA from. He was a dork!

It was THAT Dr. Watson? A ha!

You mean Rosalind Franklin? Hmmm...*stealing* and *thunder* spring to mind...

I'd read the Wikipedia entries on them both.
