Jupiter became exactly conjunct with my ASC today and I've just realised how, uhm... cellulite-ridden my thighs are. How ironic that Sagittarius rules the thighs! Looks like I won't be wearing shorts this summer... lol. The diet started yesterday though so maybe I'll save myself before summer's out.

Any other Sag risings having Jupiter weight woes?

~Sorry, Scorpio Rising eating an Eccles cake for breakfast here in the U.K.

My FIL is Sag Rising though. He's been on a successful diet over the last year and has lost a lot of weight. So good luck!

If it helps I've got a bit of the old cellulite myself, I just work on the principle that we're women and are supposed to have it!

Yeah I'm always plagued with it even when I've had barely any fat on me to speak of, but it's ok. It's my own fault that my legs look like exploded cauliflowers right now though... lack of exercise and too much creamy food and sweet treats in the last year... Correcting those bad habits now though so hopefully Jupiter through my 1st house won't necessarily be a time of the amazing ever-expanding GL75...

What's an Eccles cake?

It's a small, round cake with flaky pasty filled with currants. Traditional English patisserie.

I also have Jupiter in Sagittarius in the first, and am on personal terms with the workers at the local bakery. I try and keep it in control because I am at risk of being a TOFI (Thin Outside Fat Inside).

well i certainly understand your woes! i've been craving comfort food like you wouldn't believe! luckily though i've only gained maybe 5 pounds the last few weeks..

but for reasons unrelated, i decided to go vegan this week. i FINALLY put it together that whenever i've binged on cheese (i am a vegetarian and rarely eat it, but this last year i have been more than usual), i've broken out lots. i've wanted to be vegan for years but never had the willpower to quit cheese! fortunately i'm now quite convinced it was what was causing my zittiness (cuz i'm already clearing up!)..

i'm sure this will help in the thigh region too! hey gemini lover, i think we ladies are pretty much guaranteed to have cellulite, aren't we? dang it!

I had a sneaky feeling this would be a theme for all of us, lol. This is so cool that we can use this thread now to keep each other motivated.

I've really only become aware of my thigh bigness in the last week or two myself. I've always had bigger thighs than the rest of my body (classic pear shape), but since I lost something like 14-17 pounds around five years ago I haven't had much of a problem. Now in the last year or so I realise I've gotten into way too much of a 'comfort' mode... moving in with Mr Gemini 1 1/2 years ago is a BIG part of that. He is more Taurean than he will admit and a lot of our lifestyle together is about food! He's adopted some of my habits but on the flipside, I've adopted many of his. Things like having too much dessert sometimes on a twice or thrice weekly basis. I finally put my foot down about the desserts a few weeks ago, lol. He isn't happy about me cutting out a lot of the fat from our food, but hey he's gained weight too and it wouldn't hurt him to lose a few pounds! Also in the last 6 months I haven't been able to exercise much or do any weight bearing exercise due to a back injury. I used to be soooooo fit and I would exercise 4 times a week! I still walk every day but not as much as I would like.

Seriously overall I just want to lose 5 or 6 pounds when I weigh myself, but the main thing is to be happy with the size and shape of my legs when I look the mirror - no matter what the scales say.

Last week I started a 'healthy lunch' routine of either healthy sandwiches (complex carbs don't worry me, in fact I think they're necessary in reasonable amounts) or sushi every day. I'm drinking more water and I'm trying to have fruit instead of sweet carb snacks...

hey, i have the thigh thing too! they actually do tend to be proportionally larger than the rest of my body..

it's weird how body perception is such an issue. i mean, of course we shouldn't have these pressures on ourselves or inadvertently place them on other women, but at the same time, we want to be desirable.. just as we want our men to take care of themselves. nobody can deny the appeal of someone who is healthy and looking their best! i just hope this thread doesn't raise objections for seeming too superficial. i think everyone is beautiful and has perfectly valid reasons for their feeling the need to be a certain way, etc.. i think it's fine as long as we don't judge OTHERS..

i am actually finally feeling like i'm feminizing and that it is safe to do so. i've always been a tomboy and this is the first time in my LIFE i am fantasizing about buying dresses in the spring! i never would have imagined!! so for me, i'm feeling like i deserve to think about my body image a bit, like it's finally time. and i, too, want to lose oh 5-10 pounds, mostly for thigh related reasons too!

Cool, a Sadge support thread

Yes, I have my thick legs and an ample behind to go with them. Now, this is usually something I enjoy But, in the past 10 months this has caused me more whoas than wows.

I have gained 15 lbs, since starting my new employment in March ): My office is very into potlucks and going out for lunch. The job is also stressful, and I haven't been working out as frequently.

So, this does not a happy Archer make. I've recruited my three best pals at work, into brining homemade meals for lunch. So far, we are doing much better. Now, we're only dining out twice a week vs. all five days. The goal, is to get it down to once a month

Finally! A support for Saggies or Sag-Asc/Jupiter influenced charts. I feel the same way and feel the need to start exercising. The cold winter season just started. Who feels like going outside when it's just barely 30 degrees out? I know I can bundle up, but I am feeling it, the expansive, Jupitery, Sag Rising issues around my legs and middle, because I have them all - Sun in Sag, Jupiter, Mars and Ascendant. My Mars in Sag should make me more athletic and motivated, but I'm not.

I can definitely relate. My thighs feel not very attractive these days...

Well, I too have Sag rising!! I just love it!! But you know I'm up at 4 am and then out the door at 5 am to run my 2 miles.... Talk about a great inspiring time of day. The stars are out, it is just you and the heavens. Nothing like starting the day turning on the Sag rising button!!

I agree that there is all kinds of beauty and I have nothing against women being larger than what we might normally see in the media images and so on... BUT it's also important to feel good about yourself and if you know that there's something that's not right with you (for me it's less about the *size* of my legs and more about the proportion to my body, the lack of tone and the cellulite) then it's a nice idea to fix it and feel better. I don't agree with trying to fit unrealistic images, I just agree with having a healthy image of myself. That's why I've never been too unhappy about my thighs (and bum) being the biggest parts of me... but I think the whole Jupiter transit has shone a massive spotlight onto that very area... pretty much the whole lower body could do with some work.

heart cakes, I too am getting way more into dresses!

And Planet_Soul, yes eating out is a major diet saboteur... lol. Mr Gemini and I eat out for lunch pretty much every day and I KNOW this is a large part of what's gone wrong for my thighs. It's so difficult when you're so busy and have people around you who encourage you to take the unhealthy option.

Yay for all the support here though from like-minded (and dare I say "like-legged") souls!

*sigh*

I've just been informed that on my holiday in Sydney, Australia next year (from 12 January for at least a month) there will be awesome food and my bf is wanting to take me to all these places that do Chinese, Indian, you name it... omg. I need to find a way to balance things out while I'm away! Maybe I should start every day with a fruit salad for breakfast or something? GOD HELP ME.

Hey everyone! How are things going for you?

I've been doing well in my food choices except for yesterday I went to a wedding and *seriously* pigged out on the dessert and wedding cake. I woke up at 3.25am with my stomach still feeling full... not good. So I'm back on the wagon today.

I'm feeling a bit upset because I tried on my shorts from last year and they're too tight for me now. I can't believe I let myself get like this! What's a good way to make yourself feel better about this kind of realisation?

Don't beat yourself up over it. You get more of what yu focus on, so think of the positive. Think about what positive changes you can start on now.

I started exercising again, and eliminating fast foods My weakness is def. sweet bread, doing my best to moderate.

Glad to see I'm not the only one 'off track' lately.

Last month or two, I have had an insatiable appetite! Help! I can't stop eating!
