I know they work as if they were conjunctions.
Magi uses them also but in their chart analisis,they see the contraparalells as being linkages also ( they count them with the same importance as the paralells,and say its better to have contra´s then not to have none)I feel confused: so the parallels are conjunctions; if so,then the contraparallels woulnd supposed to be felt as opositions? I went to see them at our Tropical Sinastry and this is what ive found: Seen in an 1º12 Orb: ANN Moon cp his 5thCusp

AC P my Valentine (also trines it)(0º08)/ Karma(0º25)/Isis(0º2) As i can see,the parallels translate very well the energies and purpose in our relationship. Moon interlinked with 5thCusp;Venus with the IC,Pluto,AC´s paralell with the love asteroids... If i look at the contraparalells on some i can see the opositions that are working there like the Moon CP Mars or the kiron Cp the 5thCusp: our relationship also works with wounds being open to then,be "healed" ( kiron Cp the 5thCusp) What are your experiences with the parallels or contraparallels? How do they work in your sinastries? Both being linkages or nor? Do you feel more the regular aspects that appears as conj/trines/opositions or more the parallels?

Personally, I see parallels working sort of like a conjunction while contraparallels work more like an opposition. Whether or not those contacts are positively felt depends on the nature of the two planets involved IMHO. IP: Logged |

I am in agreement. Also if the orbs are smaller,then they could be very significant. Also if they already have an aspect in longitudes then it's stronger.
For instance, My girlfriend and I have Moon trine Moon with 1'46 orb,but they also parallel with 31 minutes of arc. Magi Society calls that a bilevel. If a planets conjunct and parallel, Magi Society calls that an eclipse. Her stationary Jupiter conjuncts my Jupiter with 2'37 orb,and they parallel with 1 minute of arc. I think the same for opposition and contraparallel. Her Mercury opposes my Uranus with 1'50 orb,and they contraparallel with 43 minutes of arc.Solar Eclipse is when Sun and Moon are conjunct and parallel. Lunar Eclipse is when Sun and Moon are in opposition and contraparallel. IP: Logged |

 Thanks!I remember they talked about the bilevels but it was so long ago that it passed me away! Glaucus you both have wonderful aspects - i bet those 2 can help a lot when exists more nasty placements  We habe aN Eclipse aspect on those pairs: - my Eros opose his Isis/CP his Isis

errmmm no. I'm not only talking about captivations...I'm talking about saturn parallel = BOND with venus/neptune/chiron/sun/jupiter/mars
saturn contraparallel = CLASH with same planets as above JUNO/CHIRON is the long-lasting relationship without marriage
JUNO/VENUS - mistress linkage Any CLASH is not cancelled out and the bonds still make the relationship harder. IP: Logged |

Its a tight one - 0.27º Its funny - my Own Juno doesnt aspect none of his planets or asteroids-onlyy that our Junos are in trine with each other at a wide orb 5º. But on the magi perspective iv enever understood why they conected Juno to affairs and "no marriage" or "mistress linkage" - isnt suposed Juno to be related as husband/wife figures? IP: Logged |

Thanks Lara ive never red that parts of Magi pages.I went to look at the Helio but that one doenst show up again. It seems we have the Ultimate Sexual Linkage with this one.
But they say that it is probable not to end in marriage only if there arent powerful Cinderela Linkages in sinastry. Which is great cause in fact we have those hihihi - so im thinking that we align both the emocional and sexual parts of a bond/love union  - Kiron kikunx Neptune/Pluto in 0ºorb
-kiron trine Venus in wide orb - 4ºorb
-kiron trine sun in 2ºorb
-kiron conj Moon in 4ºorb/P Moon in 1ºorb
