On Jupiter moving into Capricorn:

From Lynn Hayes, written 12/16/07 ( http://astrodynamics.blogspot.com/2007/12/jupiter-in-capricorn-and-saturn-trines.html ) ~

Jupiter in Capricorn and the Saturn trines

I'm going to take a break from Pluto in Capricorn to discuss Jupiter, which paves the way for Pluto when it enters Capricorn on the 18th.

Jupiter takes roughly a year to go through each sign of the zodiac, and it will remain in Capricorn until January of 2009. As it does so it will make three trines to Saturn, the ruler of Capricorn. Saturn and Capricorn take us to the highest levels of practical awareness; they provide the structure and discipline that is required to build a life of achievement and success. Saturn will also be trine to Pluto several times which will bring even more structure to the chaos that has prevailed over the past couple of years and foster an environment that can bring success as Pluto's transformative urge combines with Saturn's patience and planning.

Jupiter is the planet of optimism and faith - it teaches us to expand our horizons and to learn the value of positive thinking. Under Jupiter's influence we gain new confidence and the ability to trust that life is carrying us in just the right direction. When poorly aspected, Jupiter can inflict a reckless and overconfident approach to life but the Jupiter cycles we are seeing over the next year are largely positive.

As Jupiter makes its way through Capricorn we will see the melding of Jupiter's optimism with Capricornian practicality, resulting in a more reasoned approach to all things Jupiterian: the media, religion, culture, and travel. From the relentless optimism of Pluto in Sagittarius era, we are moving into a much more conservative and contracted time with Pluto's entry into Capricorn, and this shift in motivation will begin as Jupiter moves into Capricorn this week.

Capricorn is ruled by Saturn as we have said, and Saturn is already in Virgo where in its role of Celestial Taskmaster it is inspiring greater attention to health and increased caution in risky behavior. Although this growing tendency towards contraction rather than expansion may seem depressing, the combination of Jupiter's optimism with Saturn's discipline can lead to great success if we follow a plan rather than just rely on sheer optimism itself.

There has been a serious dearth of the earth element over the past six or seven years, resulting in an environment that lacks stability and structure. With Saturn now in Virgo and Jupiter and Pluto moving into Capricorn that situation is being remedied to the extreme. We will see a more conservative approach to all things, not necessarily political conservatism, but a conservatism that demands restraint and patience rather than the reckless and impulsive actions which have dominated the Jupiter and Pluto in Sagittarius era.

Jupiter will make its first trine to Saturn in mid-January of 2008, offering the potential for great success in our endeavors, particularly for those of us with planets in the early degrees of earth and water signs. Even for the more impulsive airy and fiery types, the trine of Saturn to Jupiter will make it easier to find the discipline and stability to achieve our goals.

Jupiter's expansive urge seeks freedom from restraint, and in Capricorn that thirst for expansion creates new boundaries and structures. The last time Jupiter in Capricorn made a trine to Saturn was in 1948, the year that Burma, Sri Lanka, Israel and Palestine all declared their independence.

In April, Saturn trines Pluto for the first time (although Saturn has been within orb of a trine to Saturn for the past six months or so). The second trine of Jupiter to Saturn takes place in mid-September as Jupiter stations direct after its retrograde passage, with the final trine occurring in November 0f 2008 just in time for the elections. This will be a particularly interesting time since Saturn will also be opposing Uranus, bringing about some interesting surprises!

Jupiter in Capricorn-fix-it

At the end of this Pluto in Sag journey in 2007 The Secret was revealed on Oprah with people telling you why it works. Now that Jupiter is moving into Capricorn we’ll become more focused and practical. I would imagine people like Bill Harris from the Secret will be sharing why it has not worked for you. That’s the practical side of Jupiter in Capricorn.

Contraction, expansion and stasis: How is your Life Pulse around money? Saturn contracts and Jupiter wants to expand. This push/pull energy occurs in our bodies through our 1st [Saturn] and 2nd [Jupiter] chakras. You can know how grounded [1st chakra and Saturn] you are by looking at your money issues. Are you in a...

Contracted state- fight or flight, how are you moving money in your life? Are you constantly on edge not knowing where it all goes, there’s never enough. Do you feel the need for silence/contemplation or just plain “I want to stop reading because she’s tapping a nerve.” An energetic contraction may bring up “I need to get out of my body and numb out” This is mud may be related to the earth of Saturn, your 1st chakra.

Expanded state-merged with spirit, mystic…feet off the ground “I am merged and the physical doesn’t matter.” Or the flip of this there’s never enough so I need to hoard or get things for free. Expanded states bring on creativity, growth, building…expansion also translates to greed, cruelty, and hoarding. This mud (emotions in the body) is related to the fire of Jupiter 2nd chakra, the earth of Taurus. (Taurus rules hoarding and we saw a lot of that negative intent while Saturn moved through Taurus in 1999).

Stasis- balanced, heart centered, loving. Can also represent the inner state of stagnation, putrefication and inertia. Muddy water of Mars in Scorpio/3rd chakra, power issues, don’t worry here’s where Pluto steps in. Now you have the picture of contraction, expansion and stasis related to your money issues and self-worth issues.

Jupiter in Capricorn offers up a combination of tasks- first ground then expand into. How are you contracting in fear, refusing to change, connected to your tribal conditioning [Saturn]? Trust yourself, expand into a new venture, a new way of being. Where is Capricorn in your chart? That is where the action is.

Or the flip of this- how have you expanded too fast and now you don’t feel like your feet touch the ground? Check in- are you grounded? If not, then fix-it. Get grounded. It’s all about balance (heart chakra and Libra).

Fiery Jupiter asks you to take a risk; it’s archetypal force represents truth and wisdom. With Jupiter’s energy we are collectively called to expand, venture out beyond our comfort zone. To travel beyond our borders, to learn something new. To connect with, embody the God of our understanding through our own inner knowing [versus what we are told about God]. Angeles Arien in the Four Fold Way shares "To tell your truth without attachment to the outcome is the Way of the Warrior." Collectively aren’t we all rubbing up against one another’s cultural truth for God, so very attached to the outcome.

Jupiter entered the sign Sagittarius in December of 2006(1). His home town. Jupiter rules Sagittarius. It takes Jupiter 12 years to complete a cycle in one’s birth chart. Pluto had been dismantling and renovating the Sagittarius house since 1995. When Jupiter entered the sign for the first time in 12 years things had changed. It’s been a year of discoveries.

Now that Jupiter is entering the sign Capricorn, a new structure is needed. There is a natural contraction. In Capricorn we are cautioned to not go at this too fast, because a firm foundation is in order. Think of a pressure cooker.

Saturn in Virgo, September 2007 through 2009 - brings up our fear of not being perfect. Keep in mind that Saturn, the ruler of Capricorn, is now moving through the sign Virgo bringing up work and health issues, asking you to edit and sort through the clutter of your life and heart to find a new balance. With Jupiter entering Saturn’s sign, an auspicious occasion, there is a natural dance between Saturn and Jupiter. Just remember Saturn’s taking the lead. Are you ready? The pressure is on.

As Pluto gets ready to move into Capricorn in the next 35 days, our Essential Self knows something is up in the collective psyche, but we can’t see it yet. That is making people on edge. Earth rumblings. Add the holiday stress, and well you get the picture.

Your 3rd Chakra is ruled by Mars. Are you feeling queasy? Mars is still retrograding through the sign of Cancer [stomach] and Gemini [throat chakra] from November 12 through January 30; this retrograde period is bringing up our issues around feeling safe in speaking our truth, in home and heart matters.

Fiery Mars does not like to be in watery Cancer. Fire is yelling, "Hey water don’t put me out!" The archetypal force of Mars is forward motion, go get what I want now, action energy. Now Mars has stopped, forcing you to deal with issues of power in your emotional body (the Moon in you). The last thing Mars wants to do is spend time dealing with feelings and communication issues- ’get over it already.’ If you are causing trauma/drama then deal with your issues, don’t spew on people.

If you slay people with your angry words, isn’t it time to do things differently? The power of your words have the ability to harm or heal, which are you opting in for?
· What happened for you the last time Jupiter moved through the sign Capricorn?
· How old were you during these years?
· Are your children or grandchildren the same age, how are you being triggered? Who and what’s tweaking you? Wake up.
· Where does Capricorn sit in your birth chart? What house? Any planets there in Capricorn, Aries, Cancer, Libra? Those areas will be affected during this transit.

To start the new year maybe it’s time to get an astrology reading . As a reference point these are the years Jupiter moved through Capricorn:
March 1960-1961
February 1972-1973
January 1984- February 1985
January 1996-1997
Now December 2007-2008

Become an observer, create a self portrait through the SoulCollage® process. Expect to be revisiting issues, people or places and taking the Jupiter in Capricorn experience [wisdom] to a new level of understanding during the next year in 2008.

Before Jupiter enters Capricorn, journey to your Shamanic Teacher, Helping Ally and ask what is necessary. It’s an excellent time for a dismemberment journey.

Create a SoulCollage for this Jupiter in Capricorn energy. The best way to work with Jupiter is to create with the energy of the moment, start with an image from a magazine that calls to you. Work with the process of "I am the One who...” and then allow a dialog to unfold in your journaling. Release what isn’t working, and allow the new structure to be created.

Fix-it and be reborn. It’s time.

1) Jupiter in Sagittarius:
February 1971-1972
January 1983-1984
January 1995-1996
December 2006-2007
What was happening for you in those years? You may have aha’s and/or you may be screaming ‘aaarrggh’. During the past year in 2007 you may have revisited issues, people or places and taken the experience [wisdom] to a new level of understanding.

From astrobarry, written 12/08/07 ( http://astrobarry.com/2007/dec807.php )

Whether this impressive coupling of Jupiter and Pluto delivers an easy-to-spot event of immense magnitude, or whether it passes unremarkably through our external existence (and you dare to thumb your nose at those boastful astrologers who promised 'something big')… I stick by my sentiment that, following this conjunction, life will never be the same. Not only is this aspect a commanding symbol of 'there's no going back' progress, it also ushers in a pungent new period of astrological hustle-and-bustle.

One week after its exact conjunction with Pluto, Jupiter moves out of Sagittarius and into Capricorn. Then, in January, Pluto follows suit—only, in his case, this is a much more monumental movement. While Jupiter spends only about a year in each sign, Pluto has been in Sagittarius since 1995. And he'll spend all of 2008 making the transition into Capricorn, where he'll stay through 2023-24. Needless to say, this is huge astrological news.

As if that weren't enough, the striking virility of this shift is further strengthened by the fact it's a movement into Capricorn, a cardinal sign… thus creating a square between both Jupiter and Pluto and the Aries point (or 0 degrees Aries), the single most supercharged degree of the zodiac circle. And within the next two to three years, transiting Uranus will leave Pisces and head straight for that Aries point—ultimately to form a colossally important square to Pluto (within orb from about 2009 to 2017), the defining astro-aspect of our times, slating this upcoming era to be as radically redefining and potentially turbulent as the 1960s. Yes, it's that huge.

But the personal is also always political (or transpersonal, as the case may be)… and whatever little nagging nuisances or pesky energetic imbalances you're currently experiencing, in fact, have everything to do with this epochal revolution. How poignant that, in the midst of this outer-planet drama, we still must contend with Mars retrograde and his odd gear-shifts. But it is no accident. In fact, over these coming weeks, Mars opposes first Jupiter and then Pluto, effectively linking these two levels of astro-consciousness together into one landmark realignment.

But that's another story, to be told in more detail soon…

The Aries Point Connection

While the galactic alignment is not something that has been considered by astrology for very long, or very well, something else has -- the Aries Point.

The Aries Point is the first degree of Aries, the place the Sun is located on the vernal equinox or the first day of Northern Hemisphere spring. It is 90 degrees away from the first degree of Capricorn, thus making that same angle to the dark line down the center of the Milky Way. After years of observing the Aries Point, it does seem that corresponding angles in Cancer and Capricorn are somewhat more sensitive to planetary activity -- though the whole phenomenon is summed up with the term "Aries Point." More accurately, we would say that the cardinal points -- the first degrees of the cardinal signs -- are each hot spots in the sky, but all directly related to one another.

The cardinal points have a distinct property -- they join individuals with the collective. Developments associated with them affect many people, and individual experience becomes transpersonal. We go beyond ourselves. There is no private life that is not directed or even dictated by some larger public life; there is no individual life that does not affect the collective. Most people are aware of neither experience.

Usually, we experience this by being the hapless victim of world events, for example, the tsunami, Sept. 11 or one of many other "news" developments that have added up to a world that is changing very fast in ways we cannot really see because they are so prevalent. We live in the midst of this change like a fish in the water. The nature of the environment is invisible to normal perception. When we get an Aries Point alignment, we can momentarily see the changes for what they are.

Whatever developments 2012 might point to, we will be getting a taste of them as planets now gather around the 2012 region. It appears that the changes come on fast and strong, and we will begin to see the first rumblings of Pluto in Capricorn shake the world and who knows -- maybe even wake up a few people for a few seconds.

If you are an adventurer, pirate, public policy maker, criminal or astrologer, we are in high times. If you are seeking enlightenment, listen and you will learn a few things. If you want to assist with the world transition, now is the time. The most progress is possible in the times of the greatest change. But the winds of fortune are blowing so hard they could capsize a tug boat. Enormous profit and progress can come from the astrology you are about to experience; but remember that fortune favors the bold, and boldness is partly about staying upright.

As for specific predictions, what exactly do I see? A lot of something. Mainly, change. I see some kind of shakeup in the government/corporate structure. Some event or series of events alters the structure of our society. I see the truth coming out about something ridiculously obvious; such as where the treasury went, or the precarious state of the world. Then, I see an extremely impressive display of media footwork in its aftermath, trying to interpret, reinterpret or utterly deceive us about the events. The key to that interpretation is when Mercury stations retrograde in an exact conjunction to Neptune in Aquarius a little after the main events take place. Two Full Moons very closely aligned to the Aries Point (and thus the 2012 point) precipitate matters, on Dec. 23 and then again on March 21. Much happens in between, as we will surely discover.

THE DECEMBER PERSPECTIVE 2007

OVERVIEW

We face a serious heads-up month astrologically, as Jupiter is embarking on his once-every-approximate-12-monthly change of signs. The change this year is from Sagittarius into Capricorn and happens on the 18th. He stays in that sign till January 2009.

However, this is Sagittarius’ month and it is special and powerful in many respects. There is a coming together of the Sun and Mercury with Jupiter and Pluto this month, especially after the 10th. This is quite a momentous line-up and potentially brings great empowerment, a sense of daring and a possible regenerative input for the planet as Jupiter combined with Pluto alone, creates a mind-over-matter determination, especially round the 11th and 12th and also around the 21st, when the Sun combines with Pluto.

An important sociopolitical breakthrough, somewhere significant on the planet, could be achieved, especially around the 11th. However negatively, especially around the 21st, it can bring a daring too far that is potentially explosive if the motive is dark and dubious.

As always, when Pluto is involved, there can either be a crisis born of the misuse of power, or a radically positive transformative energy, if the motive is for healing and the greater good.

With Pluto, more than any other planet, motive is everything.

Australia, a Sagittarian country, is likely to feel a sense renewed empowerment this month, if only to tackle the devastating effect that climate change is having on that country. With the Labor Party newly elected down under, Australia will at least see an acknowledgement that climate change exists, as opposed to the attitude of denial that belonged to the now-ousted John Howard and his party. This election has been seen by many as the first climate change election.

Jupiter’s move of sign into Capricorn is very significant. Positively, it is the planet of growth, inner or outer, opportunity, travel, wisdom, generosity, confidence, protection, expansion and plain luck. Negatively, he can bring arrogance, complacency, overexpansion, overconfidence, overreaching, overindulgence and bigotry. He works best in terms of luck and long-term growth when the groundwork (Saturn) has gone before. After all, luck is merely a matter of preparation meeting opportunity. Without previous preparation, Jupiter can bring rash judgment or one can simply have an indulgent few days that do not last. From Sagittarius he was strong because he was in his own sign and this emphasized globalization and the growth of extremist religious input on the planet. Jupiter is often associated with over-the-top enthusiasm and Sagittarius, in its lower manifestation, links to extremist ideology

Jupiter’s move into Capricorn, however, is a very different mood. Capricorn is ruled by Saturn, which in many ways is the antithesis to Jupiter, as Saturn is restriction, limitation and spiritual learning through karma and practicality. Hence, Jupiter, when he moves into Capricorn, is said to be in his "fall." Interestingly, Capricorn rules pragmatic matters and is intensely interested in money (Capricorn rules the global economy), but Jupiter’s power (of expansion) is held back when in the sign of conservative Saturn. There is miserliness and a caution to Jupiter in Capricorn, a hanging-on to what is owned.

A change of consciousness is needed before abundance can be achieved in the material world when Jupiter is in this sign, and despite any ongoing desire for, and indeed achievement of material success, it will bring little happiness or real gain. Expansion has to be in the attitude to and use of money from Capricorn. One is held to account for whatever one does with the power of finance when Jupiter is here. It does not deny wealth, but it does test for attitude towards it. After all as the saying goes, it is not money that is the root of all evil, but the excessive love of it, and this is what can be the problem with Jupiter in Capricorn.

Hence, on a global level, although many will still be craving for the ongoing growth of the last decades and to keep consuming at the same rate and to keep the flow of oil going, the path will somehow be blocked and opposition to the principle of greed will grow. Some will ruthlessly fight to maintain their economic status and expectations, but it is clear that this will be difficult, as the status quo has inevitably to change. Attempting to jealously guard the old order, which will happen, will bring great social problems and global stress.

Already economic crises are in the air on both sides of the Atlantic.

Jupiter is about enlightenment and from Capricorn he demands an enlightened value system, and enlightened sense of economic future and enlightened sense of what achievement is really about, as opposed to the just the material status it is currently associated with. If values change sufficiently and the world faces in a different direction, then a revised economic stability can be created, but only after a serious change of consciousness is undergone and grasped.

Under the auspices of Capricorn increasingly more wealth is likely to be found in fewer hands, and transparently so.

From Rio Olesky (http://www.starwatcher.com/columns/column.php ) ~

The Wheel of Light
Monthly Newsletter - December 2007

Jupiter represents the principle of expansion. It can expand attitudinally by expressing joy and enthusiasm. It can also expand consciousness through activities such as travel and studying. The studies could be academic, spiritual or metaphysical. Jupiter takes approximately 12 months to transit through a sign. When it enters a new sign, it will activate and expand the qualities of that sign for that period. This month Jupiter transits from Sagittarius, where it has been since November 2006, into Capricorn, where it will remain until January 2009.

Signs function as filters. They allow varying degrees of the energy of a planet to be expressed. Jupiter is said to be in its dignity in Sagittarius. That is, its energy passes through Sagittarius in its purest form. None of its inherent force is filtered out. Theoretically, Jupiter’s passage through Sagittarius has been extremely beneficial to those who have Sagittarius rising or whose Sun is in Sagittarius. Even if we don’t have those components in our horoscope, wherever Sagittarius falls in our chart could have been greatly and enjoyably expanded during that past 13 months. Jupiter in Capricorn is another story.

When a planet is in a sign whose filtering mechanism is extremely different from the nature of a planetary energy, we say that the planet is in its fall. Jupiter is in its fall in Capricorn. Where Jupiter perceives opportunity, Capricorn applies limits. Where Jupiter enjoys a good theoretical discussion, Capricorn prefers practical action. Where Jupiter expresses optimism, Capricorn can respond with pessimism. The challenge we face with Jupiter in Capricorn is whether to expand (Jupiter) the more dour qualities of Capricorn or to bring an expanded perspective to Capricorn’s restrictions. Do we expand our sense of responsibility (Capricorn) in a way that limits our sense of personal freedom (Jupiter) or in a way that enables us to function in practical, realistic ways yet with a sense of personal integrity and ethics (Jupiter)? The key is to integrate our sense of truth and justice with our mundane activities.

Another Jupiter transit of considerable significance is that it will conjunct Pluto all month. Pluto has been transiting through Sagittarius since 1995 and will temporarily leave Sagittarius and enter Capricorn on January 26, 2008. This is the most important transit of the New Year and will be a main point of discussion during my annual Perspectives talk at Wells Fargo Center on January 8, 2008. It will also be the topic of my January column. But for now, let’s focus on the conjunction between Pluto and Jupiter.

Since Jupiter rules Sagittarius, we can say that Pluto has been in Jupiter’s sign for 12 years. The nature of Pluto is to challenge us to transform. During its journey through Sagittarius, Pluto has generated religious (Sagittarius) extremism around the world. Yet it has also brought out into the open the underbelly of certain organized religions as well as dysfunctionality in the classroom. Churches and schools pertain directly to the Sagittarius drive for consciousness development. While it is doubtful that the conjunction of Jupiter and Pluto this month will have profound, widespread collective influence, it can be useful to each of us on an individual basis.

At its highest octave, the Jupiter-Pluto conjunction is the mark of a truth seeker, someone who penetrates the surface of whatever they are focusing on in order to glean the deepest level of meaning of that topic or activity. If our interest is spiritual, this aspect will help us to connect with Divine Spirit in a direct, profound and personal way. It will enable us to get clear about our philosophy and to align it with divine law and universal truth. It could help us to rededicate ourselves to the pursuit of higher consciousness, spiritually, academically or both. In terms of the latter, this is a great aspect for deep research, whether that pertains to a term paper, doctoral dissertation or simply the need to declare a major.

Jupiter and Sagittarius pertain to international relations. Perhaps this month will bring a little light of truth into the realm of diplomacy so that we can resolve our differences with open-minded dialogue rather than with demeaning comments and warfare.

The lower octave of this transit is that it can also expand obsessive tendencies. They could involve personal habits, addictions or social behavior – especially those based on control, manipulation or intimidation. This aspect could also expand our need to be “right” and to counter every argument against our point of view with stubborn dogmatism. This is a pattern that has helped spread religious extremism and its resulting conflicts (or at least the theological rationalization for them).

Pay attention to the house (area of life experience) in your horoscope that these planets are transiting this month. This is where you can dig deep, discover the truth of what you want in that area and what you are doing that will either enhance or undermine your likelihood of achieving it. You could also research to see if what you have wanted is still desirable or not. But most important is to ensure that you are pursuing your goals in that area with ethics and integrity. Let the truth be your guide, even as you remain open to listening to others, learning about their truth, and sharing with each other in ways that promote learning and consciousness development for us all.

As Jupiter moves into Capricorn business expansion is reversed. As
Pluto moves into Capricorn business power is threatened. Both of these
movements reflect the restriction of the environment ecologically. An
acceleration of the poisoning of the Earth now will become undeniable.

Throughout history the battle for religious dogmatic rule has been
raging. All religions are destructive of truth. A glimmer of reason is
emerging with the works of Christopher Hitchens (God is not Great) and
books like the God delusion. The psychological damage from the denial
of reality of the physical world (Capricorn) will last for generations
to come. For a very long time we have been inundated with religious
fervor and obsession (Jupiter and Pluto in Sagittarius). The lack of
action by the intellectuals to continue our progress in the sciences
allowed the negativity of this issue to permeate the government of the
US. That day is done.

The religious false choice garbage of the Bush administration with the
subjective value judgment of "Good VS Evil" will be completely exposed
for the fraud it is. I warned of this years ago http://tinyurl.com/2fn5ox

As usual, my warning was ignored. All issues that I touched upon in
the form of essays in the last 13 years will be manifested in the
years to come. Many of these topics are archived for reference in
Google, they can be accessed from this page http://www.astroconsulting.com/FAQs/charter.htm

Now we enter a painful period for many as the foreclosure and economic
repercussions therefrom accelerate. Markets will crash and real estate
values plummet. This actually began in earnest with the first Mars
Opposed Pluto in September of 2007 and will accelerate with the final
one which occurs at 0 Capricorn/Cancer, if you have planets at these
degrees take precautions to protect your assets. Mars in its fall will
focus this crisis in national and personal security.
The environment contributes to the destruction with extreme weather
conditions, wherein neither the weather nor business will be as
"usual".

Thanks you again for allowing me to express my insights on these
matters.

The doors of wisdom are never shut.

HEy Zala,
They say that when you have jupe in your sunsign it is the bestt of times for u. I have sun in 29" 24 Scorp and 2005-2006 was not a great year. I lost my old job( got a new one before the old one ended, but the times were tense) and 2003, there was this Star of David formation very close to my birthday and great things were predicted. 2004 began with me being very badly heartbroken( am stll picking the pieces).
Is there something wrong with my chart or with all the predictions>?
Will I ever get a break from these hard times?
I am nearing the end of my tether.
AAARGH.

My experience with jupiter is that it just expands whatever it touches...i haven't had especially good luck, I think it just amplified my pluto transit. I do feel that I've matured and grown in the past year though...I think I have a more solid sense of my identity perhaps?

What happens at a Jupiter return? I've got my Jupiter and NN at 16 degrees Capricorn.

Hi AG ~

From: http://www.tarotmoon.com/articles/Jupiter/Jupiter.html

Jupiter requires about 12 years to complete a cycle and return to its original position in your chart. At such times, or when it contacts a particularly important planet or group of planets in your natal chart, there may be a desire to expand your horizons in whatever area is indicated. A Jupiter return or contact may bring a new opportunity, or trigger an inner desire for travel, learning, a new-found spiritual interest, or anything related to the house or sign it is in, or the planet it is contacting. You may feel renewed energy and enthusiasm if there is the ability to pursue this new endeavor, or you may feel constrained and dissatisfied if you cannot.

Jupiter makes a Return to its natal position approximately every twelve years. The Jupiter Return in particular marks a time when your luck is at its zenith. When transiting Jupiter conjuncts its natal position in your chart, there is likely to be a sudden flowering of opportunity. For the most part, you will still have to work hard to make these dreams come true, but you will have more chances than usual to do that.

Naturally, the Jupiter Return is the highlight of good-luck transits. This transit marks a twelve-year cycle and a period in which important plans and ideas are revised. It may indicate big new steps, like marriage, business partnership, or independent or cooperative ventures that have long-term implication. The transiting Jupiter also manages to bring good fortune in various areas of your life, since it is always transiting somewhere in your chart.
