I would love it if someone could help me find out a birthtime for someone. I know some specifics that may help in figuring out the birthtime. Like the births of children, number of divorces, and current activity in this persons life. If anyone out there can help I would love to see if it can be done. We have looked at his birth certificate and his birthtime is unknown and no one can remember it.

I thought I could give some physical descriptions that may help in finding out his asc. He has dark brown hair, thick blotchy eyebrows, a cleft between his eyebrows, a deep dimpled chin, brownish green eyes, 6 ft. tall, bowed out chest, nose is broad at the nostril end (if that makes sense), and darker complexion for a white male. I would post a pic, but I don't have a digital photo of him.

I did see someone's comments on here about prominent dimples (which he has on his chin) meaning Libra ascendant, but his birthday is on the libra/scorpio cusp, so I don't think it is valid in his case.

His focused nature and stares/glare *ha*, and manipulative behavior all are attributed to his scorpio sun, so I can't use that. He also is cocky and full of himself, which I love, but can be attributed to his placements he has in scorpio and leo, so I am at a loss in figuring out his asc. So, please help if you can.

I am dying to find out if I also make connections to his asc., he does to mine, so I would love to be able to find out if I do to his.

I know how hard and frustrating trying to guess someone's Ascendant can be ... I've been there. It took me 4 (!) years to ascertain the sign of a very close friend of mine. It's been my personal experience that the first guess is usually closest to the actual Ascendant (i.e. the same element or on the same axis). Because the more you get to know someone the more you throw other traits that are a result of other planetary placements into the picture.

I'd start off determining whether he is more introverted (earth or water Ascendant) or extroverted (air or fire Ascendant) ... and from there I'd take a closer look at the possible Ascendants and look which one sounds most like him (of course always keeping in mind that the Sun and Moon or a stellium in a sign can greatly modify the "intensity" of an Ascendant). A good way of determining someone's Ascendant is taking a look at the charts of people close to him (like best friends or lovers). It is very likely that the people closest to him have strong placements in the sign of his Ascendant or Descendant.

Only after you've narrowed down the possibilities to 2 or 3 I'd try continue to look at transits of special events in his life to ascertain his birth time.

People in this forum are usually pretty good at guessing Ascendants based on characteristics ... so you might want to try to write down what he is like in real life (you know, like how he acts when he meets new people and stuff like that) and his planetary placements.

Good luck!!!

Dimple on the chin is usually a Pisces Moon, or water moon trait.

When trying to guess someone's Rising sign, I think back to the very first time I met them. The first meeting is when our ascendants come out.

If you can, write down your first impressions, and how they behaved when you first met them.

Well, I know that his moon is in virgo (since it was in virgo all day the day he was born) I just don't know the exact degree. He was born edited for privacy

Well, my asc. is 29 degrees Libra. My sun and moon are in air and fire signs. I know some of his buddies are fire and air signs. When we met the moon was in pisces. We were both attached he is married and I was dating someone at the time. I would have never crossed the line with him while I was committed to someone, but he has. Within two and half weeks after meeting and talking to each other that night his wife moved out and I broke up with my boyfriend. The night I broke up with my boyfriend was the night we ran into each other again and we had first contact...sounds bad I know. The moon started that night in Sagittarius and moved into Capricorn by the time we took things too far. His wife's sun sign is a fire sign.

Ooh ooh, teaologist can I get in the mix too?!
can you figure out my Scorp's ascendant? My boyfriend claims he doesn't know his birth time, but his mother remembers it was in the morning (born Brooklyn, NY)...when I first met him, I swore he was a Sagittarius but then again I've been wrong before. I have alot of Sagittarius suns in my family, including my mom, and he so reminded me of them. He was very funny, friendly, cheerful, BIG laugh, blunt to a fault...that's what drew me to him. Afterwards, I find out he's actually a Scorpio sun. I started playing around with his birth time and he most resembles a Sag rising, but I'm not an expert. When he first meets someone that he's not yet comfortable with, his watchful/observant nature comes through...guess it must be his Scorp sun? Here are some of his characteristics: He's tall (6'2"), thin but muscular and lean, he started balding at a young age, works out and is very health-conscious (athletic), he strides when he walks. Loves to travel, very outdoorsy, does not easily commit, LOVES his freedom and space, restless and feels "caged in" when inside for too long...anything else?

As for your man, I read somewhere I can't remember where that Leo Asc. seem to have receeding hairlines early on. I always thought it had to be wrong since Leo's are known for their manes...But, I know my father and brother both are leo asc. and it is true in their cases they both have receeding hairlines and thinner hair than they did when they were young kids. My son is a leo asc. also, I hope he doesn't lose his hair but I don't know. Just observing my son, which he is tiny only 4 yrs. old, but he exhibits so many of the attributes you described. It is like he has to get his strut on when he walks into a room, it cracks me up. He strives to be center of attention. And he is a big show off in front of his friends trying to be the cool one and making them laugh. So, maybe the spunk/outgoing behavior you see could be leo asc.

Thx for the info, 29thDegree!
He has this weird thing going on where he doesn't like being in the limelight, he doesn't like attention really but yet his job requires him to sometimes be in the limelight. He automatically gets attention, he doesn't seem to go after it. I have a Leo moon and although it's not sun or asc, I think at times I come off as a show-off if I'm not careful...but he's not really like that. He's super confident about who he is and his capabilities, but yet he doesn't like to show off about it. Make sense?
Sorry about that, teaologist! His bday is 10/30/73.

Hey there

I feel for you. I have the same problem too... not sure what rising sign l am! I've narrowed it down to 4 but it's really not easy. Anyone who wants to help me out i'm grateful. I have some very specific/unique traits that probably point to a definate rising sign and have 3 kids and 2 marriages behind me.

I have been trying to find mine for ages now. They thought l was Pisces AC on another forum but it just doesn't feel right! I'm such a direct, in your face person (bloody Aries stellium) hehe

Merry Christmas everyone! :-)

29thDegree, I went on cafeastrology and read about Leo ASC and some of it does sound like him, but not all...he does have a magnetism that bring people to him, but then again that could be b'cuz he's a Scorpio. He is body-conscious: likes to work out, keep fit, look good 'for himself' as he always says, lol..he does make rash decisions which make me thk sometimes if he's thought everything through, he does have a temper at times, although that could be from his mars (aries). He doesn't try hard in his appearance or spend too much time in front of the mirror so I don't see this in him but he always looks good no matter what he wears. He's also not a show-off like the Leo sign suggests; he likes to be in the background. He is warm and generous..but that can be most signs. Whatever his rising, it lightens up his Scorpio sun alot...

Hi 29thDegree,
I'm guessing a Leo ASC with Mars close to the ASC... any info on the childhood/parents? What does his house look like? (Errr, just realized this makes me sound like a stalker, but uhhh, this will help, believe me, hehe.)

Mind you, I'm still learning this, so this will take me some time.

cappieluvsscorp, I'll be back for you, however, need bday??

------------------------------------------

Well, he is the baby of 6 kids (spoiled rotten by his 3 big sisters, 2 brothers, and mom), father was in and out (a floater type stayed with the friend that had the beer as he puts it), his mother was a hard worker and supported the kids pretty much herself. I know that when he was around 16-17 his mother's new husband had to relocate for a job and she went with him (she, of course, give my man the option to stay or go since he was old enough) he chose to stay behind. He still has a lot of resentment towards her for it though.

He worked in the oil field to support himself while finishing high school. He went to college for about a 1 1/2 yrs. to play football, but quit. So, he is the athletic type. He did have a pretty big accident when he was younger he almost lost most of his hand I don't remember the age maybe 10-14.

He did have a pretty decent relationship with his father as he got older. His father died in 1996. His mother is 73-74 now. Hasn't lost any brothers/sisters. His paternal grandmother died about 2 weeks ago.

Thank god, there are no names on here he would die probably knowing that I just listed all of that.

Well, if you put his mars on his asc. that would put his karma/valentine/north node in his asc. do you think that would sound right?

Cappie--Well you seem to be running into the same thing I am with my scorp. The fact that he can draw people to him could be the scorp or leo attributes.

Mars conjunct the Ascendant would be more dominating than rude
Try squaring his Mars to the Ascendant, see if that fits.

Teaologist--I forgot, his house is not anything extraordinary. He doesn't have a lot of electronics, or fancy decorations, its just your standard/traditional home every working class person strives for it is 3 bedroom brick home all thats missing is the white picket fence. Well, when he got it, it would have been one of the top house in the community in the 90's. One thing he does have a deer head hanging in his room, which is crazy to me. Oh there's a hobbie hunting...forgot that one.

BlueRoamer--I'm glad you stopped by, you're are so sweet, now give me a kiss. xoxoxoxo

Hello lalalinda,

Well he would have Aquarius on the cusp of the 4th house with saturn conjunct it at 6 degrees along with his south node.

The south Node in the 4th house would show heavy Karma with his family but it would also put the NN in the 10th House showing that he is fulfilling his Karma by advancement in his career.

Saturn in the 4th
http://www.dkfoundation.co.uk/BookKarmaHouse4.htm

quote:
Saturn

Saturn in the 4th House gives a cold and austere childhood. With this placement a person tends to experience the mother as inhibited and puritanical; home life in consequence is cheerless. Saturn in H4 is found in charts, which indicate that emotional immaturity in past lives has incurred karma: the reaction to emotional charged situations having been irresponsible, child-like and lacking restraint. People with Saturn in H4 usually wish to leave behind their childhood and everything associated with it as soon as possible. They rarely have much affection for the country of birth.

People with Saturn in the 4th House begin adult life feeling uncomfortable with self-examination and usually with little awareness of the extent of their inhibitedness. Although their future happiness depends upon a willingness to examine the legacy of their childhoods, their inhibitions enable them to develop the emotional control lacking in previous incarnations. Understanding the emotional self is the challenge presented by Saturn in H4, which may or may not be accepted. The price of not looking within tends to be loneliness, domestic disharmony and a lack of emotional fulfilment. Those who do accept the challenge tend to favour the psychological, rather than the spiritual route to self-discovery and appear to be particularly receptive to psychoanalysis.

The 4th House placement of Saturn tends to manifest delays and disappointments in connection with property. It is notable that people with Saturn in H4 experience more than an average amount of difficulty in disposing of properties.

does this fit?
if not go to the link I posted and go through the planets by house and see if anything applies.

Recification can be a long process of elimination.

good luck, keep me posted

...since he holds one of the top paying positions in his work, do you think mars fits in the 10th house...

Did you try putting Jupiter in the 10th house???

quote:
Every behavior that stands out can usually be attributed to at least a couple of signs/houses.

Exactly ... that's why if I were your I'd focus more on his most obvious character traits in order to narrow down the possibilities. Try to focus on the traits that people that don't know him very well can see. What do people that don't know him see when they first meet him? What is he like when he meets someone he doesn't know? Does he make the first move or does he wait for the other person to approach him? Does he come across like a show-off or is he just very confident or is he neither? Is he more the friendly or the reserved type of guy?

Also, what was your very first guess when you started trying to guess his Ascendant??? Usually the first guess is closest to the actual Ascendant...

Like you said, every character trait can be attributed to several different house placements or aspects to the Ascendant. That's why I'd only focus on those less obvious traits once you've narrowed down the possibilities. Otherwise you'll just end up confusing yourself ... but that's just IMHO.

Very interesting topic!

Well, I know the ASC of someone; it`s Aries, luckily a quickly rising ASC and that narrows his birthtime to 12:25 - 1:20 p.m.
But how do I get the EXACT degree of his ASC? Are there any possiblities to do that?

He`s blonde, blue-eyed, slender, looking kinda "fragile", comes across as very energetic, bubbly, friendly, entertaining, the "sonnyboy", but has a very serious side, too, openly speaking about his spirituality. As an actor he has played the typical "charming sunnyboy"-roles, can be very silly and clownish, but just recently has turned to very dark and disturbing stuff acting-wise.

His other placements are:
Sun: Capricorn
Moon: Aries
Mercury: Sagittarius
Venus: Capricorn
Mars: Libra (which is his chartruler)

So, how can I narrow down his exact ASC?

DD
