perhaps you look more leoish .. cant be bad..  whats wrong with a cancer rising? lol. I have the same question.. when our ascendant progresses does that mean we also start to look like that AC or the AC we were born with? because after all the ascendant rules the way we look. IP: Logged |

I was wondering about this too some time ago ... the answer I came up with for myself was that I see the progressed Ascendant as some kind of evolution of our personality. Since the Ascendant doesn't just rule our physical appearance but also the way we present ourselves to the outer world, I feel that the progressed Ascendant can mean a change in the way we act in the outer world.For instance, my natal Ascendant is in Pisces and my progressed Ascendant is in Taurus conjunct my natal 2nd house cusp right now. While I don't look the least bit like a Taurus, I do have certain Taurean qualities. I now worry a lot more about money and material comforts than I used to a couple of years ago. IP: Logged |

The time when I moved into my first own flat, doing my year of "teacher in training" and then starting my first job, my ascendant progressed into Capricorn.
Actually it changed signs EXACTLY on the day, I actually moved into my flat; from then on I`ve had to really carry responsibility on my own shoulders.
What could be more fitting than a Capricorn-ascendant for that?I wonder what will happen now, that progressed ASC is slowly progressing into a conjunction to my natal Venus, which will be exact exactly in 2 years from now.

I see, there is a Jupiter / NN-conjunction in the progressed chart in the 9th house, ruling the 5th progressed house.
And this one falls also into your natal 10th house. I`m not sure what that means, but maybe this year will be an important one to decide what you want to do in your life, job-wise (10th house), but also the general direction (also 10th house). Could this involve a foreign country, university or philosophy / religious things (9th house) and connect it with what you really want to do, what you enjoy doing, some sort of a hobby or maybe even a love affair (5th house); will you be working with children, maybe?

Hee. Well I think I found the right forum, at least. I noticed with a shock the other day (I don't check my progressions often) that my progressed ascendant had slipped into Sag without me noticing. I...have a (prog) Sag ascendant? I feel so...actually, I don't feel anything. Except a little weird.IP: Logged |

Your AC actually changed a little while ago. Play around with the dates to see when. It won't change your appearance, but it may make you more concerned about your appearance and dress more leo-ish. Leo AC's are very concerned about how they look and like to dress to ther nine's. Sometimes it gets out of whack and they cross the line and start to dress ostentatiously. Beware of this tendency. You will probably act more outgoing and possibly be more dramatic. I noticed the leo AC is opposite your natal venus. This can be difficult...you may find your aquarian venus characteristics at odds with your progressed AC. You may start to act possessive and crave drama, for example. Of course being an aries sun, you may already display some of these traits already, but with your new AC they will be more noticeable to people when they first meet you. IP: Logged |

Astrotheme.com says that my natal Ascendant is Leo. I know Astro.com is more accurate, but I'm curious what accounts for the difference? quote:

All of your words are rather accurate (thank you for taking the time, by the way), since I'm considering joining the Peace Corps after I graduate from college (after this semester, spring 2008, I'll complete my third year). I am getting tired of my current job and am looking for a new one, and I've always considered working with children. I am also considering moving back home for a couple years after I graduate in spring of 2009. I've also considering moving further south (I live in nor Cal) to pursue my Master's. Overall, I've definitely been considering the direction of my life a lot more than usual in the past few months, and I've been struggling to find a job that combines work with actual interests.
