I hesitate to use the word fated
I was working with my Saturn Return chart and looking for degree/declinations and other numerical triggers to Pholus/Vertex/Karmic type events. I made some startling discoveries.
I was wondering if anyone else has some thoughts on this.
I studied the chart both on the exact degree date, and for-the following year during the retro cycle when Saturn was again on the degree, but this time poised to go direct. Again a huge aha.
Then I placed that chart against life altering events and people. The degrees were triggered in each instance.
Then I added a few asteroids [my name asteroids, and others] The triggers were mirrored again, as these were also in exact aspect.
I will not list a long and tedious post of examples with the degree triggers. Take my word for it.
I also tested this proposed theory using someone else's chart. Again, the degrees and life events were shown by planets and mirrored by asteroids. These Saturn Return degrees appear to be stimulated by transits. Much like the Natal chart.
So, has anyone found that Saturn Returns are most definitely in effect till the next one?
I read a long and insightful article on similar lines before, where the astrologer used the Saturn chart in a similar fashion- wish I had saved it!
Time to plumb the depths of Google....again

Node ~

I was just wondering about this the other day. Would you mind giving me just a few examples of what you discovered?

The year of my Saturn Return I changed just about everything in my life.
  • Left a job of some years, that was becoming a dinosaur [micrographics]
  • Packed up and left a failed relationship.
  • Moved to a new city where I knew no one.
  • Enrolled in a College there.
The return chart using fairly tight orbs, 50% has:
  • Saturn at 13+ degrees -3H
  • Mars at 13+ conj. Jupiter 6H
  • Sun and Uranus at 22+ conj. 4H [N Jup is 22]
  • Chiron exactly conj. MH at 18
  • Last name asteroid exactly conj. Lunar apogee at 28+ 10H
  • Pluto is conj Venus and exactly opposes Natal Venus and widely N Sun [3 deg]
Pholus and the vertex as well as Vesta [the flame keeper] are highlighted as well as the ASC degree being conj Natal Jupiter. I could go on but like I said, this could get tedious.
When I do an overlay of the chart for a job interview that was life altering in all respects, i.e. people I brushed up against, career etc. the degrees are activated. Some are in mutual reception or *talking to each other” others are exact in declination, Antiscion or shadow, contra-antiscions.
Saturn has elevated status in my chart as it is the LAP or least aspected planet. The contacts that is does make are also heightened.
So far what this tells me is something I knew but had to learn again and again. That change is not only beneficial but necessary. That not utilizing and nurturing my leadership values hinders my growth as a person. That assertiveness or possibly aggression are not poor bedfellows when used to stimulate soul growth.

    Mme Node ~

What a fascinating exercise!! I hope you find that article.....
Now I shall have to go and do up my own Saturn Return chart
I think Saturn in Virgo will have tremendous significance for me in more than one way -- not just the current 1st house transit, but in emotional/spiritual growth (transiting as it is, in or near my Return chart's 12th house).....

Hey, a Saturn Return chart! What a great idea. I'm dealing with the second pass of my SR (natal Saturn's at 7 Virgo in H10 for me) and I'm not feeling *anything.* I'm starting to wonder what the heck is going on or whether I'm "failing" this transit. Maybe if I did an actual chart for the SR it would help me get some perspective.

Me too, Saturn at 7 Virgo. This Will be the 2nd of a three part return. Lucky us.

    During first pass:

    >Filling I got in 2003 started acting up.
    >I was working long, hard hours, often alone.

This time around I'm about to move into my own place. Roommates acting up.

I have Saturn in the 12th.

Yeah, I really don't know why my SR has felt so "easy" compared to all the others I have watched friends/relatives endure. Maybe because it's in the middle of a bunch of other difficult transits for me, or maybe because it feels like I did the "hard part" in the middle of last fall, when Saturn was square my natal sun and natal Uranus (that sucked).

I don't know how to feel about my Saturn return. On onee hand, it has been blessing me by rewarding my hard work both career wise and academically. On the other, I have been overwhelmed with memories of my ex from exactly seven years before ): I do not know what to make of it, since he has been on my mind and dreams recently ):
