Ive been reading Scorpio rising for him...but Im not feeling thats his rising sign, Maybe Pluto in the 1st, but not scorpio rising.

What do you guys think?
http://www.neptunecafe.com/obama.html
http://www.e-tarocchi.com/reports/BarackObamaNatalReport.php

Ive read he met his wife in the late 80s, married 1992. His wife is a Capricorn with Pisces moon. There was a massive amount of Capricorn planets transit during the time he met his wife, my feeling is he has Capricorn in the 5th, which would give him a Virgo RISING, making a Pluto in the 1st. I dont know why theyre saying Scorpio...but thats my view.

Also would give him 4th house(home) Sagittarius, which could explain the living in Indonesia as a child, and a multicultural background.

Also gives him 12th house SUN, which is very common among political leaders: george bush, tony blair, etc. His father(sun) was a distant/elusive figure in his childhood.

Hmmm...hadn't even thought about his chart yet. I'd say that the stellium looks good in the 10th, and Sun in Leo in the 9th looks inspirational, but it would be nicer to know for certain when he was born as most sites don't claim to know. I think your theories are pretty well thought out and plausible as well.

hardly definitive I know, but for me I've always found a strong similarity in the Virgo influence in people's eyes (esp. those of Virg Asc)and sometimes smile/mouth which I do see in him.

just my 2 cents.

Sun-Libra
Moon-Capricorn
Asc-Libra
Mercury-Scorpio
Venus-Scorpio
Mars-Virgo
Jupiter-Virgo
Saturn-Aries(r)

There's something about Obama that I really like. I see some visionary qualities that should be allowed their manifestation. He seems like a humanitarian who isn't really in it for power.
Sun in the 9th seems about right, but saturn in the 3rd may hamper his oratorical skills

mudmama,

what do you see in Virgo Ascendants? I am just curious. I have Virgo Ascendant.

writesomething,

I have Imum Coeli in Sagittarius, and Jupiter in Sagittarius in 3rd conjunct it. Jupiter also squares my Virgo Ascendant and Moon in Pisces. 9th house ruler(Venus) is conjunct my chart ruler/midheaven ruler(Mercury). I am multiethnic, born from an interracial black/white relationship and I am in an interracial relationship with a white woman.

Tiger Woods has Virgo Ascendant, and he has Imum Coeli and Moon in Sagittarius. He's multiethnic too,and he's in an interracial marriage, and they have a child together.

Glaucus,

It's just something I've noticed in the Virgoans (Sun, Moon or Asc, though usually it's the Asc I see this with) I've come across, a certain look and shape to their eyes that I cannot quite explain. One similarity is that the majority of them (if not all in my experience anyway) have brown eyes) they tend to be smaller, sharp and intent, again tough for me to explain. I seem to draw a lot of Virgos into my life so it's a bit of a hobby now.

He has a very delicate kind face, which is common with Virgo risings. There is a sort of modesty that is charming. But there is also a strength and potency to his looks.

Yep he is a Awsome candidate and from what I know a good person. We are members of the same church. We attend a high-profile black church in Chicago and the church is backing him 100% and have been since he ran for senator. I think he will do wonderful in the New hampshire primary tonight just as he did in the Iowa Caucus..

He strikes me as Virgo ascendant too. However, I am quite willing to change my mind because Virgo ascendancy doesn't explain him coming into political spotlight at this time, as Pluto in Sagg would be at the bottom of a Virgo ascendant chart.

ETA: I like the analysis in the link provided. I am not good at progressed chart. I need to learn how to make one.

I don't really like Barack Obama ... he's too wishy-washy for my taste. As for his Ascendant ... I'm not really sure why, but I'm seeing Gemini in him.

On the political side: I like him *much* better than Hilary as a Democratic nominee. He just seems much more genuine than she is.

As for the astrological side: he has an oval face kinda so I'm inclined to believe Capricorn Asc?? He's even a bit young looking too for his age....classic of a Cap Asc once they're comfy with themselves. Not sure though, if that chart would explain his political career. I'd have to see his placements to know (don't have time right now).

Going by transits only, quick look at the aspects coming up for Obama:

November 4 and 5, election days:

-The sun will be squaring Obama's sun, indicating fighting

-Moon and Jupiter will be in Cap, which can be good for him as he has moon, Mars and Saturn in earth sign trining or conjuncting these Capricorn aspects.

-Mercury will be in Libra, squaring his Saturn at one point.

-Venus will be in Sagg, squaring his Mars in Virgo, again indicating fighting, but trining his uranus in Leo, which can be a wild card factor,

SIDE NOTE: In my opinion, Saturn will be an important planet for the year 2008, because throughout the year, Jupiter will be in Capricorn (Capricorn is ruled by Saturn) and Saturn in Virgo. On November election days, Saturn and Jupiter will actually be in a dynamic trine (Saturn 18 degree of Virgo and Jupiter 17 degree of Cap). It is my guess that people might be more inclined to go with conservative values (saturn), while wanting hope and buoyancy (jupiter). While at first glance, a candidate like Obama does not suggest conservatism due to obvious racial components, he does come across as a stable family man, husband and father, who is presenting a message of hope.

Around January 4 2009, when the US installs the new president, there are a lot of planets positions that highly favor Obama:

Sun quincunx Obama sun
-Mercury will trine his Jupiter in Aqua
-Venus and Jupiter will conjunct his Jupiter
-The most important thing is that he will be experiencing a Jupiter return.

Difficult aspects:
-Pluto will be squaring his Venus
-Saturn will be approaching an exact conjunction to his Mars, which may indicate that if he is indeed elected, he will feel hemmed in and not able to do things he planned.

ETA: There is so much more analysis that can be done, but hey, I don't have time. lol.

shrugs....I have an oval shaped face, and I have Virgo Ascendant. People think that I am younger than my age too.

I never thought of Capricorn Ascendant looking younger than their age. I thought with Capricorn giving the impression of a mature individual who has much responsibilities....especially if Saturn aspects it.

I don't think USA is ready for an ethnic minority president. I feel that a female president will be elected before an ethnic minority president..especially a person who has black African ancestry.

Lets not forget on voting day that later in the day, Moon will change in Aquarius. There will be a surprise in store for America. Something revolutionary and different. We're going to be surprised by the results.

Virgo and Geminis are youthful signs, the rising signs/sun signs tend to stay youthful looking in old age.

Venus in Sag transit during the transits might help him, Venus will trine his Sun(bringing good fortune, luck, etc).

If he was a Virgo rising, which would give him transit wise, neptune in the 6th, which makes sense. Theres a idealistic, visionary aspect to his work at the moment.

Also Saturn would be conj his rising, which I feel at the moment, hes come off more as a serious candidate in a lot of people's else unlike last year.

If he won the presidency, Jupiter would be going into his 6th house in 2009. Also jupiter return.

I wonder if something could be modifying that Capricorn Ascendant though. That's very possible..especially an aspect from Neptune or Mercury could indicate a youthful appearance.

Also if Sun and/or Moon is involved in appearance.

Even in Vedic Astrology,Moon has something to do with appearance and that's why they use Moon as a second ascendant too.

I wonder if that would work with Western Astrology.

There are astrologers that look at chart with the use of Sun as the ascendant.......a solar chart...I think that's used to do newspaper horoscopes.

I don't care if Obama or Hillary wins the Democratic presidential nomination. Being a liberal, I just want a Democrat in office. Republicans with Bible belt beliefs are people that I don't want to run the country.

I believe church and state should be separate, but they are not. I believe that gay marriages should be legal in all USA.

Even Mildred Loving believes that gay marriages should be legal.

It was the 1967 Loving vs. Virginia Supreme Court Ruling that struck down all interracial relationship/marriage ban laws in USA.

I also believe that they should do something about the racial categories on forms. Many mixed people shouldn't have to be forced to choose only 1 race or other.
Multiethnic people should be allowed to check more than one race on forms.

I was one of 2.4% of the Americans that listed myself as multiracial (2 or more races)in the 2000 Census which was the first time survey options for multiracial Americans were provided.

I believe that survey options for multiracial Americans should be on all forms and not just for the Census.

I also feel that both psychiatric and educational reforms are strongly needed in USA.

Capricorn influenced people in general are classically known to look older while they're young.....and look younger as they age.

Mutable ascendants are also youthful looking as well. *shrugs*

I guess my vote is for either a Cappy or mutable ascendant.

And I keep forgetting that he's biracial.....I just remember that half of him is from the same culture as I am (East Africa).

A new Williams Identity Survey conducted by Zogby International recently revealed Americans’ changing attitudes towards multiracial candidates, including Presidential hopeful Senator Barack Obama (D-IL).

“We’ve come a long way since NBC News correspondent Sander Vanocur coined race as ‘the dirty little secret of American politics’,” said Mark Williams, creator of the Williams Identity Survey, bestselling author of The 10 Lenses, Your Guide to Living and Working in a Multicultural World and the soon to be released Fit In: The Unofficial Guide to Corporate Culture, and founder of Identity Online, a new media company dedicated to the education, exploration and entertainment in the areas of identity and multiculturalism.

More than half (55 percent) of whites classified Obama as biracial after being told that Obama’s mother is white and his Kenyan father is black. Likewise, 61 percent of Hispanics also saw Obama as biracial, the Williams Identity Survey conducted by Zogby International shows. The Zogby Interactive survey polled 2,155 adults from Nov. 1-2, 2006. The poll contained a margin of error of +/- 2.2 percentage points.

For blacks, the Obama candidacy is viewed differently as the Illinois Democrat cannot escape the nation’s past racial history. Sixty-six percent of blacks that responded to the interactive poll classified Obama as black.

Williams warned, “Even though we’ve come a long way, we’ve not completely moved beyond the ‘One Drop Rule,’ the segregation-era notion that even a tiny percentage of non-white ancestry (‘one drop of non-white blood’) classified a person as ‘colored’. ”

Obama, the son of a Kenyan father and white mother, is entering the national stage at a time when the United States is undergoing rapid demographic change. Whites, especially, seem desirous to put the nation’s contorted racial past behind them. Overall, the vast majority (63%) say that racial identity should not be an issue anymore -- that figure grows to 70% among whites.

“Obama’s potential entry into Presidential politics is fortuitous, as it coincides with this changing demography,” explained John Kenneth White, professor of political science at The Catholic University of America, in his analysis of the Williams Identity Survey results. “To be sure, the future face of America is a blurred one whose skin tone is some form of beige. The question of racial self-identification is hardly new, as evidenced by the U.S. Census, and the implications many.”

Williams says Obama’s heritage offers him the rare opportunity for a perfect political “trifecta”: Obama is a reflection of changing American demographics, a non-threatening, accomplished figure with broad appeal like former Secretary of State Colin Powell, and a symbol of black pride and progress, all rolled into one, if he can mange to hold together the delicate balance that will be required of him.

“The survey raises many important questions should Obama pursue the nomination,” Williams said. “Will the racial perceptions of whites and Hispanics change as more attention is paid to Obama’s background? Look at the recent flack about his middle name, Hussein.”

Williams is reminded of the November Senate race in Tennessee: Rep. Harold Ford, a well-educated, articulate young black candidate like Obama, found himself the victim of an egregious race-baiting television ad that played to racial stereotypes and tensions. “We’ve come a long way, but those ads remind us it is still possible for the nation to take a step backwards,” he said.

The complete results of the Williams Identity Survey conducted by Zogby International, along with White’s analysis, “Barack Obama and the Politics of Race,” commentary on the divisive Tennessee campaign commercials and a streaming video interview conducted by Mark Williams are available on Williams’ blog: www.drpsychobabble.com.

Williams, White and John Zogby, president of Zogby International, are all available for media interviews to discuss the poll and its implications.
http://www.zogby.com/NEWS/ReadNews.dbm?ID=1227

I feel that it's about time that we drop the "one drop rule" and let us multiracial people identify with all our races. I believe that something should be done about the racial categories on forms. We mixed people shouldn't have to be forced to choose only 1 race. We shouldn't have to pick "other." We should be allowed to check more than one race on forms.

During the 2000 Census, the NAACP and other minority organizations encouraged people of color to stick to one race. Civil rights organizations already pressured the government to "reassign" us multiracial Americans back into the traditional racial categories, to resist dilution of any individual non-white racial group. Because of that,I choose not to support those organizations. Hypocritically, they don't care about the civil rights of us multiracial people for they want us not to be ourselves but force us to be something based on their beliefs.

On the Multiracial Census Bureau for and by Mixed Raced People,
85 percent of multiracial people do not support the "One drop rule" which classifies anyone with "one drop" of black blood, ONLY black. http://www.websitetoolbox.com/tool/post/mulatto/vpost?id=1799353

Who is Barack Obama? - Something that should be considered when you make
your choice.

If you do not ever forward anything else, please forward this to all your
contacts...it is very scary to think of what could lie ahead for us here in
our own United States...better heed this and pray about it and share it.

We checked this out on "snopes.com". It is factual. Check for yourself.

Who is Barack Obama? - Probable U. S. presidential candidate, Barack
Hussein Obama was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, to Barack Hussein Obama, Sr., a
black MUSLIM from Nyangoma-Kogel, Kenya and Ann Dunham, a white Athiest from

Wichita, Kansas

Obama's parents met at the University of Hawaii. When Obama was two years
old, his parents divorced. His father returned to Kenya. His mother then
married Lolo Soetoro, a RADICAL Muslim from Indonesia.

When Obama was 6 years old, the family relocated to Indonesia. Obama
attended a MUSLIM school in Jakarta. He also spent two years in a Catholic
school.

Obama takes great care to conceal the fact that he is a Muslim. He is quick
to point out that, "He was once a Muslim, but that he also attended Catholic

school."

Obama's political handlers are attempting to make it appear that he is not a

radical.

Obama's introduction to Islam came via his father, and that this influence
was temporary at best. In reality, the senior Obama returned to Kenya soon
after the divorce, and never again had any direct influence over his son's
education.

Lolo Soetoro, the second husband of Obama's mother, Ann Dunham, introduced
his stepson to Islam. Obama was enrolled in a Wahabi school in Jakarta.

Wahabism is the RADICAL ISLAMIC teaching that is followed by the Muslim
terrorists who are now waging Jihad against the western world. Since it is
politically expedient to be a CHRISTIAN when seeking major public office in
the United States, Barack Hussein Obama has joined the United Church of
Christ in an attempt to downplay his Muslim background.

ALSO, keep in mind that when he was sworn into office he DID NOT use the
Holy Bible, but instead the Koran.

Barack Hussein Obama will NOT recite the Pledge of Allegience nor will he
show any reverence for Our Flag. While others place their hands over their
hearts, Obama turns his back to the flag and slouches.

Let us all remain alert concerning Obama's expected presidential candidacy.

The Muslims have said they plan on destroying the US from the inside out,
what better way to start than at the highest level - through the President
of the United States, one of their own.
