HiyaI'm having a consultation for laser eye surgery in the next week and will hopefully have the procedure done within the next month. I was wondering what dates would be auspicious for this to occur or maybe dates that I shouldn't pick! My birth data is Oct 6th 1970 20:12 bristol, UK if anyone wishes to look further at my chart. I was thinking now would be a good time - Mercury being joined by the sun in aquarius, mars retro and soon to be mercury retrograde bothers me though. anyone have any thoughts? cheers

I wouldnt do it near the Mercury retrograde shadow, during, or after the retrograde(a week or so). I think Mercury and mars mercury is a bad idea. Aries rules the face, and that includes eyes, Aries rules MARS, mars is in retrograde= I wouldnt do it.BUT, If you have to do it, I wouldnt do it during Sun in Aquarius but Its better than Pisces or Aries. Everyone focuses on the MOON sign, which I do believe is very important, but also look at the SUN sign, because sun sign is vitality and the most important planet I think. Good luck. IP: Logged |

I would expect the sun(vitality) in aquarius(eyes) to be a good placement. Take your point about mars and mercury both being retro. I have a gemini ascendant making mercury my chart ruler and mars currently retro in my first house. This makes late february a more auspicious moment when both are direct.Hmmm, this brings out interesting questions for me - I generally never live my life by looking at astrology this way and i'm not really sure I believe this is what you should do - for instance - why is a planet retrograde interpreted as a bad thing? The qualities of the planet will be interiorised and will operate in a more subjective and covert manner. From this interpretation it could be said that mercury and mars will focus themselves in my first house (a more positive interpretation). In fact, looked at in another way it could be said that the planets retrograde positions appearing are focusing me to consider having the surgery. IP: Logged | |
