I am somewhat confused about the qualities of the ninth house. I have no planets there in my natal, but the man I'm after has his Mercury, Venus, and Sun all in my 9th house. What does this mean? He does love discussing philosophical and "deep" topics with me. That's all I have observed or can understand about these placements. I guess I am most confused by his Venus being there.

How does Venus impact the "higher mind"?

According to the Vedic astrology, 9th house refers to Fortune, and Divine Merit also.says that if its a powerful house in the natal, it can bring spiritual growth

So i wouldnt be worried if the man has so many planets falling into yours.
http://www.astrologyzine.com/what-is-house-9.shtml

"how you seek the meaning & purpose of Life through: philosophy, religion, higher learning, spirituality, mysticism, inner vision, journeys of the mind, psychic attunement, taking the long view, seeing history and the present from a higher perspective, a sense of humour, observing and connecting widely-divergent ideas and opinions;
how you learn about life and its diversity through: study of foreign ideas or foreign cultures or religions, travelling to foreign lands, encounters with foreign people and their differring viewpoints, tolerance of foreign races, cultures, religions, or traditions. "

Me and my nf have our PF there and i have my NN and Vesta there too, while his NN falls into my 9th - i feel it as if through each one+s viewpoints and cultures we seek and find a meaning to our Paths in life. We share a psisic bond that keeps us spiritually conected and even if we are so diferent in many ways, our inside being are very much alike in how it visualize the World

Isn't 9th house ruled by Sagittarius? If it is, this would mean that those planets are tinged with Sag flavor....? I think.

Hrmm.. well I have my Venus conjunct my Pluto in the 9th. I would say, how I feel this play out is an intense love of getting to the root of the mysteries of the world. I certainly do think a lot about questions with open-ended answers.

How do you feel about life? why you are here? what your path is while you are here.. what purpose is.. etc. Philosophy usually answers questions under this realm.

Knowing more about his placements may understand where he is coming from, but with Scorpio in the 9th I like to get to the root of things, and I use my philosophies to transform and grow.

I would in relationships, I seek to learn and grow through a person - and a lot of it is mental and experiential - by journeying and exploring together. Yes, these traits are all associated with Sag.

I would tell him honestly how you feel about things. How you see the world around you. Do you have any planets in Sag? this would certainly help you relate, but even if you don't, sharing your views would probably be very enjoyable and interesting to him.

Hey lovely people,
I have a loaded 9th house of Sag. Merc, Venus, MC in conjunction, jupi, neptune all in my 9th house. I have Sun at 29degress 24 of Scorp, so it is very close to the 9th house and conjunct my neptune at 2 degrees Sag.
I don't know if I have a lot of spiritual growth or not, I still get angry, sad, happy like everybody else, no detachment to the ups and downs of life.
So what does my loaded base do?

I have a Mercury, Jupiter and Uranus in Sagittarius in the 9th. I guess you could say that I am a very idealistic person with a fondness for foreign cultures. I am not exactly interested in philosophy ... frankly, I don't really give a damn about questions like "Where do we come from and where are we going to?". But I do think that the world could be a much better place if people just were different.

Sarai & starrym - I did not realize/remember that the 9th house is ruled by Sag. My mercury, moon, saturn, and uranus are all in Sag. His ASC and uranus are in Sag. But my 9th house is in Cancer and his is Leo.

And it's his 8th house (Cancer) Sun, Merc, and Venus that fall in my 9th. I know and feel that we want to and will learn a lot from each other.

Same here, Seeing Stars. I like it. Jupiter is at home in the 9th, which for me represents an expansive mind, but unfortunately, not a lot of travel to foreign lands. As reflected by Cancer's rulership of my 9th, I do best when I'm close to home (so far; Pluto conjunct my natal moon near the end of H2 may change all that). I also haven't published nearly as much as I'd like to, but hopefully that will change as well.

As for the original poster's question, though—his Sun in your 9th...does he have the potential to make you famous (or is he a known "famous" person who could expand your horizons, so to speak)?
