I need some good advice and wisdom from you gifted individuals...

I have been studying transits for quite some time now, and with myself and a friend or two under heavy Uranus transits, they quite intrigue me!!!

My question is this.....

I know one can use a cyclical approach to Jupiter, Saturn and to some degree Mars transits...one can look back to (regarding the conjunction aspect of tplanets) the previous square, then the opposition to get the general jist of what the native may have to deal with upon the conjunction.

I believe I have read somewhere that Uranus moves fast enough to use the cyclical approach as well, and it makes sense as he rounds the chart in roughly a lifetime.

Any input, experiences??

Thanks much!!!

Terri

Hi Terri,

Why do I always answer when I'm sleepy? I don't know, but in a nutshell, Uranus takes 84 years to complete it's cycle of the zodiac. One of the classic indicators of the beginning of mid-life crisis occurs around age 40 to 41 when transiting Uranus opposes natal Uranus. There is usually a time when a person craves freedom because they know that they are at a natural half way point of life. Many people get divorces around this age because they want a new slate, and new life, new everything.

My grandmother had her Uranus return in 2003. She had one of those Celebrex induced heart failures. She survived, but it seemed like a little end of life test to see if she really wanted to free herself in the ultimate way. Usually when Uranus makes hard aspects and minor aspects to itself through the 84 year cycle, changes can occur in a surprising or shocking way.

Think of your keywords for Uranus and you'll notice those themes occuring when Uranus makes aspects to itself in the natal chart. Also watch Uranus' transits to Sun, Moon, ASC, MC. These are also major events in the development of life as well.

I think I'll let others continue this after me. I hope I shed a little lightening bolt of light, Uranus rules lightening.

Thanks for your post. I'm coming up against a Uranus square Neptune transit that is scaring the crap out of me. I just finished Nep square Uranus and now this. Blech! It's not fair. And predicting the way Uranus is going to impact a person's life is just so...impossible, in a sense. I mean, how can you predict Uranus when it's unpredictable?

Thank you for your replies

I am NO stranger to Uranus transits as when he opposed himself several years ago and conjuncted my stellium of Mars, Jupiter and Merc in Aqua, squared my Taurus moon and my Scorp asc at the same time...

My life turned upside down...

But I am talking about trends...

For instance, when Uranus moved from his natal position in my chart and opposed my Sun 40 some years ago, my mom divorced my dad, took me and my brother several hundred miles to live with my grandparents.

Then some 20 years later, as he squared my sun, I became pregnant with my first born, and purchased my first house...

Now that he is approaching the conjunction with my Sun...(which is in the 4th in Pisces) I have had more than my share of troubles with appliances, autos, computers, etc...I have NO intention of moving, but I am so into fixing up this house to move someday...and I have been here only 4 years.

And most profoundly I have a burning desire to go back to my maiden name...and very well intend to do so.

See the trend?

I know with this conjunction, that these are outward manifestations of inward things....

A dear friend of mine has a fine stellium of Mars, Jup and Venus in Pisces in the first with a Pisces asc and an Aqua sun...His ruling planet is transiting his stellium now, (jup 14 deg mars and venus 18 deg)

I have wondered what "fate" will befall him....he is in a sham of a marriage, recently had a heart attack and on my birthday last year, as the sun was in Pisces, just a degree or a few from his stellium, fell and hurt his leg horribly. Looking back in his history, (and I have not talked to him for several days so I have not asked exactly what was going on in his life at the time in question...) his first born, his daugter would have been born around the last square Uranus to his stellium....A time of bliss and happiness in a marriage (or should be anyway!!!)

I have noted these trends regarding Jupiter and Saturn as well and have read and studied that this is a valid approach to transit interpretation.

The thing with Uranus, tho, is that he is so strange...unpredictable....and I find it NO coincidence that in taking a "lifetime" to round the chart, that in aspecting particular angles and plantes, the seeds of (something) will be harvested and reseeded if not dealt with properly.
