A quick question for those of you that are familiar with the nodes.

-Person A has their N. Node in Gemini.
-Person B has their N. Node in Sagittarius.
-Their N. Nodes are in opposition.

Both their N. Nodes are conjuncting the other person's S. Nodes, right? And vice versa.

My question is: what does this "connection" mean in synastry? How would you interpret it?

More info:

Person B has their Sun conjuncting their N. Node.

So, this means that Person A's N. Node is opposing Person B's Sun and N. Node. This should also mean that Person A's South Node is conjuncting Person B's Sun.

What does it all mean??

South Node represents what you are already infinitely comfortable with as if it's residual from a past life. North Node represents the challenge for this life. The North Node holds your evolutionary key in a sense. It both challenges you to get out of your old South Node patterns, whilst also providing you excellent tools for doing so.

So...if you have your South Node where your partner's North Node is, then what this says is that you are already infinity comfortable in the area your partner needs to develop. As such you can either be of great help to your partner in his/her development as you are already familiar with the territory, or you could be potentially be insensitive to your partner in that you may be impatient with the fact that he/she isn't as comfortable as you in that particular area. You could also be a combination of both depending on how the North Node issue arises. In this instance with the N. Node's both being in Mutable signs, I would tend to think that the conscious impulse would be to help.

Here's a couple links about North Nodes:

Here's another SN question..if Person A's moon conjunct Person B's SN..Person B will be comfortable and at ease with Person A's emotions..but does this also mean that Person A may be holding Person B back, keeping him in the past?

And if the same Person A's chiron conjuncts Person B's NN, she will be able to help him grow in that area?

Person A's Moon is indeed in alignment with Person B's South Node. Will Person A hold Person B's development up because of that Moon? Not necessarily.

I think that when it comes to any axis [opposite] aspect that the balance is in the middle. Both sides of the opposition see and respect one another. They work similarly but come from different standpoints and use different tools at their disposal. There's an appreciation there even if there's not a complete understanding. As such Person A's Moon may not fully appreciate Person B's North Node area, but hopefully there enough respect for the opposite area that it won't cause too much trouble. If you go to those links and look up the North Nodes, you'll see what each North Node needs to develop. I don't think your Moon will be upset at the qualities your guy (I assume it's a guy) has to develop. In practice your Moon may rebel from time to time, but overall I don't think you'll even pay attention to it being a North Node issue. You'll just figure that that's him being him.

I don't know that I could comment on a Chiron/NN aspect. That's your Wounded Healer conjunct his Karmic Development. It would seem like you would expose to him some great wound of yours. This would be a wound that has affected you deeply, and which has given you great empathy [healing powers] for other people with the same wound. Your man could move closer to learning his North Node lesson(s) by being exposed to your experience. That would be my take on the subject. I don't mess with Chiron too much generally, because it's meaning is still somewhat vague for me. Wounded Healer are supposed to be it's key words, though.

I read that Nodes opposing between to people is a sign of possible soulmates.

so a person has their south node opposing their partners north node and vice versa..

and I have a question if anyone knows..

how fast do the nodes move through the signs?

My guess, about two years.

I have another node question. What's the significance of having your Sun/Moon midpoint exactly conjunct your North Node?

According to this site:

The Moon’s Nodes move backwards through the Zodiac at a rate of one revolution every 18.5 years. When astronomers calculate the Mean Node, they take the nodes’ rate of motion and average it out. The resulting position is the Mean Node. http://www.north-node.com/astrology-tutorials/true-node-mean-node-north-node

If my math calculation is right, according to the above the North Node spends roughly a year and a half in each sign in it's backwards progression.

Hermes,

It would mean that your emotional (Moon) self-expression (Sun) is tied into (and will probably help) you with your karmic lesson (North Node).
