VESTA

Vesta is the brightest of the asteroids and at time can even be seen with the naked eye. In Roman mythology, Vesta was the goddess of the hearth and its fire. She represents the flame which burns away the non-essentials, leaving only that which is pure.

Astrologically, Vesta is associated with both Scorpio and Virgo, and indicates great concentration on any given task to the exclusion of everything else. It suggest emotional and personal involvement can become a secondary to the ability to focus so directly on a goal. Many well known, successful people have Vesta prominent in their birth charts.

Examples: Mercury trine Vesta in a birth chart indicates an ability to learn easily and quickly from reading. On the other hand, Vesta-Neptune aspects can indicate a difficulty in focusing o0n or committing to any single thing.

Vesta in Scorpio is located in my 7th house and is part of an awesome stellium, quite conjunct my Jupiter. Tight Sextile to my Midheaven less than 1 degree applying. I would clearly say it's prominent in my chart as well as beneficial.

*K, Lala where's yours?

What's the story on Vesta conjunct Venus, 7th House. Do you think it's more of a dedicated to partnerships kind of thing or dedicated to your craft thing?

LTT, Go to "FREE HOROSCOPES" Then choose "EXTENDED CHART SELECTION", then towards the very bottom of the page is an area entitled "ADDITIONAL OBJECTS" just highlight the word "VESTA" and then click to view your chart as normal.

(Secret: you can add several items at once and there's a list of like 13,000 more items you can explore through a link just below additional items. Note the Asteroid/minor planets number and just type it into the box at "additional objects")

Good luck and enjoy!

How have I felt this myself?
Well let's just reword this real time...

Jupiter expands things (It's important to note that My Sun Sign here is Jupiter as well)I have been know to drop everything I own in a heartbeat to go on a spiritual quest. I'm talking the 3 bedroom, 2 bath home, car, truck, boat, property, husband, everything for the well being of a child and myself spiritually. Taking "NOTHING" you see everything needed in life all inside no "material object" matters one iota when it comes to spiritual well being and growth.

Another example perhaps less extreme:
I can and will stay in a relationship that to the untrained bystander is by all means doomed! Because there is still spiritual purpose there. My patience level is extreme, saintly if you will...

I have literally sold, given away, and thrown away everything I've owned on many occasions in order for a fresh start. This may begin at a notion of needing spiritual focus in my life. Example: I'm working at a high stress job managing 60-80 employees, I'm on top of the world in regards to pay and power within my company. Something happens where I witness the company being let's say "Not So Honest" I clearly see the situation as a lost cause and recognize I'm on the wrong path. I give my notice to end employment and go to a spiritual retreat center to collect my thoughts. The hotsprings, mountains, ocean,, etc. I decide to teach Watsu (Water Shiatsu) as this art is spiritually focused. So I enroll in a course of study and learn the art well enough to certify as an instructor. I begin my focused path.

Um, Tantra..
Not an option or exploration it's a necessity.
I have been with the same man for 12+ years, thank God. Prior to that each relationship was somewhat judged by spiritual connections.
I'm all about a total "mind, body, spirit" intertwining. I cannot imagine sex without that complete and total connection. The idea truly sickens me.
My "first time" was with someone I was in love with. It was not an accident, it was seriously looked forward to and desired for a great period of time. We are still friends today! (almost 25 years later) For that matter every man I've ever slept with is still on my "Friends list" and I on theirs. Because there truly was a spiritual connection. This bond does not break. It is strong.

I don't have a "Shxt list" or a collection of ex's I talk negatively about. This includes my Ex Husband. When I speak of those I've been intimate with it is in love. Each relationship in my life has indeed had nurturing qualities too it. Sometimes onesided but nurturing all the same.

I hope this helps you some?

PS If this describes you in some ways you will need this advice:
Your family will get over the *shock you put them through. It is you that you must look at in the mirror each day. Be proud of who you are and DO NOT comprimise your morals or values for anyone or anything...
Lest ye be embarrassed of what you see in the mirror, LOL!

Thank you so much, yourfriendinspirit, for sharing that.

I do find some significant similarities in my life. Surprisingly accurate.

My patience level is not saintly, though (a lot to learn in that respect), but I am also ready to sacrifice a whole lot (just about anything) to feel I’m on the right path spiritually. It has not always been a conscious choice, of course, but I’m learning…

Vesta retrograde in Gemini in the 3rd/4th (it's technically still in the 3rd but tightly conjunct my IC) here ... the only major aspect it makes is an opposition to Neptune.

Not really sure what it means, though

Vesta in the 3rd House: To recharge, you have to clam up and stop communicating for a while. If you have brothers or sisters, you can't be around them continuously because they can drain you. You have to get away. Neighbors have the same effect, but since one is not usually around them 24 hours a day, this will be less of a problem.

Vesta in Gemini: focuses on communication and information. Good for focusing on multiple projects.

Vesta Aspecting Neptune: Neptune rules dreams and imagination. The harmonious aspects (conjunction, sextile and trine) tend to increase the ability to focus the imagination. This can be a very good placement for both artists and scientists, since it makes visualization of the final product easier. The stressful aspects (square and opposition) can make concentration on ordinary tasks more difficult. Contrast this with the Uranus/Vesta aspects. Uranus and Neptune both loathe anything ordinary, but whereas Uranus rebels, Neptune simply takes your mind away to daydream land.

..............>maybe concentration can be difficult because you are easily distracted by things going on about you, maybe chatting instead of getting on with what you are supposed to be doing, etc.

I have Sun conj Vesta on the MC (3 degs). I'm not sure if I want to be associated with priests, donkeys, and porn... but everything else sounds cool. Thank you for this info.
