How important is each detail when doing someone's chart? What I mean is if you have only their birthdate and general location is that going to be very off? Is it absolutely critical to have birth time and place? Can it be worked around a general area? Thank you. I know this is probably super basic, but I had to ask! IP: Logged |

It is best to have an exact birth time and at least the city or town where the person was born.If you do not have a birth time, there are definitely ways to go about gleaning accurate information from the chart. A persons birthchart can also be rectified, meaning that through an interview with that person about specific information in their lives, a well trained professional astrologer can figure out what time they were born. This is a tricky issue for us Brits, With the notable exception of Scots, and twins born in any of the home nations. If your mother didn't diligently write down your birth time you are out of luck. My chart is based on information given by my father. He's normally good on facts so I've just got to trust him.On Astro.com you have the option of putting time unknown. You will get noon time placements and no houses. The biggest downside from my point of view is having no accurate Moon, maybe not even sign (depending on day). IP: Logged |
