Using astrology,

Who do you think will get the nomination for each party and why?

Who do you think will get elected in November and why?

Please, let's try to keep this thread free of emotional partisanship. Thanks.

Hoo, boy. I have to restrain myself from commenting much here. Just have to. But I will post this—I think the race could be about to change entirely. All of the primaries up to this point have occurred under a Mars retrograde. Very few things initiated during Mars retrograde periods work out at all, let alone the way those who initiated them want them to.

Like it.

But as a non-voter it won't be too hard to be impartial. I don't even know who all the candidates are - I read the Sun!

Shouldn't we be keeping our eye out for prominent aspects with planetlet Juno, the one who in myth exercised her feminine wiles and was lumbered with a cheating husband?

Wildsheep, I hadn't noticed that Mars was retrograde. Surely, when mars turn direct, things will take a surer shape.

The democratic primaries have been moved to February 4. My thoughts:

First of all 3 days later, we'll have a solar eclipse on Feb 7, which coincidentally will fall opposite Obama's sun and square Hillary's sun by a wider orb. It definitely means that change is in store for both of them.

Secondly, I remember reading that no presidential candidate winning the primary during a void of moon ends up winning the election. I notice that on February 4, the moon will go void from 10:20 am to 11:10 am February 5. I am curious to see if they will chose their candidate during that time or sometime after that.

Blue moon, is that a reference to Hillary?

I am not sure how important Juno is in determining presidential elections in the US.

It was, but not a serious one.

But I do have a genuine interest in this topic. Who gets picked? It can't just be down to luck, it must reflect the current ideals of society in some way (or not, as the case may be).

Thought your observations about the eclipse were interesting. The more I study them the more I take them seriously.

Isn't Hillary a Scorpio? I remember from god knows where that more American presidents have been Scorpio than any other sign.

I think Hillary has a good chance of winning. Moon will be in capricorn on most of the day of the election, but the moon being in aquarius later half of the day tells me we will be surprised by the results...Hillary is a traditional standard politican with no frills but she also would be shocking to win because shes a woman...It would be very revolutionary for American politics which goes with Aquarian moon on election day.

I think there will be some sort of deception with the votes(Mars will aspecting neptune negatively which indicates actions will be deception. I'd say be careful with computer voting booths...actually avoid them).

Yeah..Hillary is a Scorpio
She has Sun,Mercury, and Venus in Scorpio and Moon in Pisces just like me

No...I am not like Hillary.

also I believe that Hillary will get the Democratic nomination.

USA is not ready for a nonwhite President yet. There will be a female president before there will be a non-white president..especially with black African ancestry.

What do you guys make out of the fact that Democratic primaries will be happening during a void of course moon?

Nancy Reagan and her astrologer knew about and made smart use of void of course moons. They knew that no smart decision should be made during that time.

The republican primaries will culminate on September 4. Does anyone have the void of course moon information for on or about this date? Please, share.

Belage, in answer to your question: Nope
No biggie we all tend to think along the same lines at some point or another, LOL!

Really unless we have a working Search function we are bound to have many duplicated threads.

Besides, I'm quite enjoying your thread

I am glad you're enjoying this thread, YFIS.

Regarding Senator Clinton, what do you guys make of the fact that Neptune, the planet of illusion, deception and disintegration, is currently at 21 degree of Aquarius and:

--opposing Hillary's natal Saturn which is 21 degrees of Leo
--squaring her natal Mercury which is 21 degree of Scorpion

and transiting Pluto is also squaring on and off her natal 29 degree Pisces moon.

Would that account for her present problems?

Neptune stressful aspects to Saturn always indicate a disintegration of one's basic and fundamental structures, one's sense of stability washes away.

Neptune stressful aspects to Mercury tend to indicate deception, self or by others, clouded vision, unrealistic expectations.

I just realized that Senator Obama was born during an eclipse (7 days away I think), so I am revising my predictions.

I believe that those born during eclipses lead lives that affect people on a grand scale, so I am going to go out on a limb and say that if Senator Obama wins the Democratic primary during a non void of course moon time, he might win the 2008 elections.

(And if he doesn't, I'll come back here and do monday morning quaterbacking like every one else, lol)

Glaucus, remember that in the US, African American Males were allowed to vote many years before white women could (or any women, for that matter). so, from that, it seems more likely that a black man could be elected to the office of president before a woman.

^I agree with you and people often have this notion that African American(males) got the right to vote last when it was actually all women who received the luxury last...

Belage,
I have a calendar that gives the information that the v/c will be on Sept. 3 at 10:09am and Sept. 5 at 8:45 am. On the 3rd the moon will be in Libra and move to Scorpio at 4:02pm which will change on the 6th.

librarising, I don't quite understand. Are you saying the moon will be v/c Sept 3 from 10:09am to 4:02pm and then again September 5 from 8:45 am to sometime on September 06? Thanks for clafirying.

I haven't bought my moon calendar yet, so I am presently relying on google searches, and I am getting conflicted info.
