Topic: All -or-nothing signs besides Scorpio & Taurus

The concentrated form of some Sun signs are just naturally intense & unforgiving. Scorpio & Taurus come to mind because they are so much alike.

I find Aries, Virgos, Geminis and Sags to be "all or nothing." And I don't think Libra is known for giving too much ground, especially if you make the mistake of treating them undiplomatically.------------------

Actually, I think the "all or nothing" attitude comes from having pluto aspects in the natal. There was talk about this in a thread a little while ago...I'll try to find it. ------------------
Sun - Capricorn (10th House)
Moon - Gemini (2nd House)
Mercury - Sagittarius (9th House)
Venus - Aquarius (11th House)
Mars - Aries (12th House)

Wild, I don't usually think of Sags & Gems as "all or nothing" people, maybe because they are usually so much fun!

I agree, Purple_Chick, I have a bunch of Pluto aspects and an 8th house stellium and I am pretty all or nothing, hot or coldLeos ARE all or nothing! It's either all about them--or nothing!  Aries have a similar attitude. Libras don't have an all or nothing attitude because they are indecisive and too diplomatic. Unless they've got Scorpio personal planets and/or Pluto aspects. I agree with Pluto aspects and/or the placement showing more of an "all or nothing" attitude than just a single sun sign. All of my close friends share this trait("all or nothing") with me and all either have pluto in the first house or pluto-mars aspects.IP: Logged |

The only people to completely cut off contact with me (for different reasons) have been 2 Scorpios, so that is the sign I associate with being all-or-nothing. I've found Tauruses less extreme, I think b/c they're so receptive to affection, while a Scorpio has more control over whether they want to accept your love.Generally speaking, of course. I personally haven't found Libra men to be all-or-nothing at all, having been in long-term relationships with all of them.I find the Fixed signs all-or-nothing, in the following order: Scorpio, Taurus, Leo, Aquarius. ...oi. First I'll say- Scorpios.I seem to have run ins with female ones especially. My sister is a Scorpio, riiiiight in the middle of the bloody thing. If you give in, they can mold into this very easy to talk to person, but it seems you have to walk on eggshells around them because *omfg* if my sister was a mob boss? I'd be 'iced' a long time ago. :O

I cut people off very easily and I will agree with you that the only other people I have encountered that cut people out as easily as I do have been those with Scorpio Sun/Rising. IP: Logged |

Me too. I have an 8th house stellium, I'm a Cancer but in the Scorpio decanate, my MC/Neptune conjunction in Scorpio is the tightest aspect in my chart and my chart ruler is Uranus in the 8th house. I'm definitely all or nothing and an extremist. I swing from one side of the pendulum to the other. I can go from being a complete hermit and introvert for months or even years to suddenly switching and becoming really social and an extrovert. I totally blow hot and cold, especially in relationships (I'm a bit ashamed about that tendency but can't seem to help it - it really is my intrinsic nature so it's hard to be otherwise). For me, everything goes in phases - and in each phase (especially in regards to music, painting, photography and designing/making jewelry) I'm intensely focused on one thing, then eventually I get maxed out and switch to something else and get intensely focused on it until I get maxed out with that, and so on. Confession time...
I have Moon & Jupiter conj in Cap & Venus in Scorpio---this with Libra Sun, Asc, Merc & Neptune.
I don't cut people off as much as I used to, but it's still in me.
Oh, do I ever HATE it when people actually have the nerve to cut ME off!!!
I discovered (learned) better communication skills...I can use my words more. Also, as I grow older, I realize that I may cut someone off, & I may never see them again in this life...so, now I'm more thoughtful and compassionate.IP: Logged |

Yikes! No wonder. I'm very intense. I'm very stubborn. I also really really hate being told what to do. I already mentioned all my Scorpio/Pluto/8th house placements...but as for fixed placements: I'm an Aquarius ASC, my Venus and DSC are in Leo, and my Saturn and IC are in Taurus. But then again, my chart is fairly balanced - I have a lot of cardinal and mutable placements as well...pretty equally distributed through my chart. IP: Logged |

"libra"rising - Yeah, I have Scorpio Rising myself, so I can relate. In terms of maintaining relationships, I think Scorpio gets overpowered by my Venus in Cap and Saturn in the 11th house. I don't feel deeply connected with many people, so I really value the people who I do have that connection with. I'm cautious about developing relationships and know people well before I consider them one of the VIPs in my life. Once I do, it would take something really extreme, like abuse, for me to deliberately drop them entirely from my life. Instead, I drop people in my head and think of them in a different way, but still remain open to them redeeming  themselves. I have Neptune trine my Moon and conjunct my Sun, and even when I try, it's hard for me to hold a grudge. I understand and accept that they're being who they are and we all have lessons to learn from one another. If someone can explain their motivation and is genuinely sorry or at least sympathetic to the hurt they caused, my anger and hurt feelings nearly disappear. I'm talking major "I never want to see that backstabber again"-rage, too, just melting away. I'm a lousy Scorpio rising. I am all or nothing though, in some ways. I have to feel strongly about something, there has to be some passion there--whether it's a relationship or career-for me to pursue it. If I'm spiritually and emotionally bored with something, I move on, but without excommunicating the other party. BLK - I noticed you mentioned cutting people off less after learning better communication skills. That jumped out to me, b/c the two Scorpios who cut me off both have Mercury in Scorpio; one has it retrograde, and the other has it unaspected in the 12th house. They both kept a lot of thoughts to themselves. With the first one, if he'd talked things over with me earlier, our relationship probably could've been saved. (But, to be fair, I kept a lot from him too and my Mercury is doing just fine, except for a square to my Moon.) mblover - Cool list! IP: Logged |
