Pluto enters Capricorn

Pluto enters a new zodiac sign ***
Due to the extremely irregular orbit of Pluto around the Sun, the time this planet spends in one zodiac sign varies from around 11 to 32 years. When Pluto enters a new sign society and the collective are confronted with a new 'dark side' or shadow of themselves. Unconscious aspects which relate to the qualities of that sign will be brought to the surface.
Pluto belongs to the so-called transpersonal planets in astrology and it spends a very long time in one zodiac sign. Therefore its ingress and position in a sign tend to be felt more clearly as collective trends.

Pluto enters Capricorn, exact at 18:37 PST
until 13 June 2008.

Thought I'd add to the discussion with something pithy about Pluto in Capricorn, instead I found this rather unnerving commentary:
http://planetwavesweekly.com/parallel/articles/pluto_capricorn.html

As Pluto nears Capricorn this time around, entering in 2009, we are approaching the celebrated end-date of the Mayan Calendar which concludes a count of time running 26,625 years. This is the approximate amount of time required for the points of the equinox to traverse an entire circle of the heavens. The Mayans begin and end their reckoning of time with the conjunction of the winter solstice Sun to the center of the Milky Way galaxy. On winter solstice 2012 this occurs with Pluto in Capricorn. Interestingly, by one reckoning, Mayan civilization was established in the 4th century of the Christian calendar with Pluto in Capricorn.

blue moon i don't find that unnerving, but inspiring. the old order is ripe for reconstruction. hard work may be indicated but capricorn takes that as a given...i am so excited by this new pluto. it may mean living small for awhile for some of us, but it means getting real for the big guys too and about time!

shrugs

My Pluto is in 0'51 Libra in 1st, and so transiting Pluto in my 4th is going to be squaring that.
That's not going to be a good time.

another thing too is that June 13th is my mother's birthday.

Her Ascendant is in 0'11 Cancer, and transiting Pluto will be opposing her Ascendant.
so it's not going to be a good time for her either.

If you look at the planetary nodes,

Pluto Nodes have been in Cancer/Capricorn for over a century.

not an easy time, but as one who has lived through both pluto sq sun and ascendant i learned to roll with the punches and life has been soo much better since then - if you can roll with them DURING the transit you'd be ahead of the game; are you also hitting saturn in the 12th?/ another hard but wonderful time..

My mother has been sick with Hepatitis C Diabetes(she already lost all her toes on her left foot January 2 years ago),and she has had numerous hospitalizations for it. I do wonder about that transit.

Transiting Saturn is in my 12th. The last time transiting Saturn was in my 12th was in early childhood and I needed special education for my Dyslexia,Dyspraxia and was even mistakened for mentally retarded and placed with mentally retarded children in 1st grade. They found out that I was the opposite, and so I only did a year of it. The good thing is that I had intensive speech therapy in 1st grade that remediated my Dyslexia,Dyspraxia.

This really sucks. Pluto will be conjunct my moon and ascendant. I just went through a decade of pain and now there's yet more crap to come.

Glaucus, I hope the future is brighter for your mother. She definitely hasn't had it easy.

Everything's squaring my Sun, Mercury, Uranus and Pluto. Oh well.

Oh god... not MORE stuff on the Mayan calendar, I'm sick of it and all these end-of-the-world prophecies.

It won't be as they predicted anyway because the stars all move around.

Add a little chaos theory to the mixture, and you may just come up with something closer to tranquillity.

Glaucus, I'm sorry to hear about your mother. Sending love your way.

astra, if i get you right, pluto is now in your 12th.

i had pluto cross my ascendant 2 years ago and i PROMISE once it's in your 1st house you will be MUCH happier and feel more confident than you have probably the whole time it's been in your 12th.

It's in orb square my Venus right now, and I'll get 3 hits in 2009 and a near miss in 2010 -- should be interesting

glaucus there's some wonderful research being done into both diabetes and hep c - my oldest sister is now clear of hep c after doing what was basically a year of chemo - another friend is part of a study (paid) involving turning diabetes around with dna applications. i don't know what else is out there but there is work being done if she is interested. neither of these people have any money so there's hope for us all...

I can't decide whether to be happy about this transit or not. Pluto will be trining my Venus/MC/Sun and sextiling my Saturn in Scorpio. Then in awhile it'll be squaring my Moon. At least, for the most part, it will all be easy aspects... But it's Pluto that brings a heaviness and comes along to clean everything out. I dunno. Could be a good thing, could be a bad thing.

Although, I guess I can't complain because it was really bad when Pluto was squaring my Venus/MC/Sun. Surely it won't be like that was...

Heart cakes,

Thank you for telling me this. It's good to hear that life will improve soon. I just checked out my transits on astro.com and apparently I had Pluto, Jupiter and Venus all in my 12th house. No wonder life has been such a disappointment!

Gosh its SO scary. In the coming months I shall have Pluto conjunct Sun, then Ascendant, then Mercury, then trine Moon, then conjunct Uranus, then conjunct Venus, then conjunct Saturn, then trine Mars, then conjunct North-Node.

NOW If that wasn't bad enough my PROGRESSED Moon is in Pluto for the WHOLE Next THREE years. Its like this OVERDOSE of Pluto.

Anyways my Sun is in 1 degrees Cap, and I'm already feeling the effects of it. Basically I can't live without my computer or the internet. I'm on the net 24/7, online for atleast 8 to 9 hours. Today suddenly, at 2:30 AM at my house, when Pluto was just in the last last degrees of Sag. My CPU made this weird noise like some water broke or something. Then again another noise. It sounded like there was some explosion happening there. I remember the fact that my CPU actually had a thermal problem, and I even got it fixed, though I didn't keep it in the cool air. Anyways I immediately shut-down the CPU and switched off the main-plug. Now I'm stuck to using my brothers old-horribly slow laptop. Anyways so Pluto's just destroyed my precious computer!:P

Glaucus,

What are pluto's nodes in now?

It will trine some of my planets. I don't know if that's good or bad...

Transits involving the nodes of Jupiter and beyond are very slow in their movement compared to the outerplanets, and so transits involving them would be no big deal. They relate to the collective. Natal aspects to the planetary nodes can be about relating to the collective. Somehow they could be strongly affected by the collective and/or strongly affect the collective.

North Pluto Node is in 20'03 Cancer
South Pluto Node is in 20'49 Capricorn
