Well, it's been about 3 months now with my girlfriend and things seem to be going well...except for just one thing, Venus in aqua with a cap sun can be cold cold cold! Don't you think? Very strange ways of showing affection, sometimes i feel like i'm dealing with an aqua all over again! Are capricorn ladies quite cool to begin with?

Is pluto doing some damage perhaps?

Just some things of note:

Her chart -> Capricorn in Sun, Venus in Aquarius, right enough. Venus is in the 8th house, square Uranus in the 5th. It does seem like she is a person that needs space:

Venus is also Trine Pluto, which sits on the I.C. Transiting Pluto isn't doing much on either chart of significance that I can see, but Pluto is going to hit her DC in about 3 years time. This could see a profound change in how she views relationships and what she wants out of them.

There is also a group of planets in Virgo, including Mars. This isn't the most passionate of placements. Virgo Moon conjunct Saturn in 3rd. Unlikely to be emotionally expressive.

I'm a Capricorn woman with venus in Aquarius and I'm not cold...really!!! But looking back on some of my relationships, I can see how I may have been perceived that way.

I don't have the SAME aspects as your GF, obviously, but I do have venus trine pluto. And even though my venus isn't aspected by uranus, I do have venus and uranus in mutual reception. (My venus is in the 11th house and my uranus is in the 7th.)

Now here's the funny thing...like I said, I don't think I'm cold OR that I need more freedom in my relationships, as is often in the interpretations you read for uranus/aquarius influences on relationships.

BUT, I can say that the more insecure I'm feeling about the relationship, the more likely I am to "play it cool". Capricorns tend to protect their hearts as it is...and then you add in the uranus/aquarius stuff and, well, you're more likely to get an "I don't really care" attitude. But that's just a mask hiding how much they really DO care.

Don't take this as a sign that you're doing something wrong. If you think about it, the relationship is still pretty new. I think maybe she's still sizing it up and holding back a bit until she knows she can really rely on you. The best way to describe it is this: if you broke up with her tomorrow, she would not have a tantrum, scream and cry at you. She would calmly accept it and say that she hopes you can still be friends. But I bet she'd go home and cry herself to sleep...and you'd never know it. That's how this kind of energy seems to manifest.

Probably the best thing you can do is just show that you are sincere, trustworthy, and, of course, that you love her.
