Does anyone else have this placement and if so what is your personal view and experience with it? At times it feels like a 'peek a boo' placement(borderline 12th/1st)...one minute you see me and notice and then the next it feels like I could almost be invisible lol...its like when I am calm and in a good mood my Mars is tucked nice and neat in the 12th house, and then when someone chaps my hide that Mars gets shoved and goes barreling into the 1st house for everyone to see.

hey there libraschoice! i have this placement - my mars is on my Ascendent, but a few degrees into the 12th....

i completely agree that it is a peek a boo placement. at times i can be very martian - provoking fights and challenging others, being impulsive, rushing head first into things - but most of the time, esp when im by myself, i direct all of my actions "inwards". i feel like i am often in conflict with myself, trying to resolve something internally, and making resolve to make changes within.

this is the best to which i can discern this placement.

My son has this placement - first day at school he got into a fight with a big boy that tried to pick on him. But he's quite sweet and loving mostly. He is also Sun Libra btw.

My childhood friend also has this - he is a Libra rising, a very easy-going tolerant person. But if really rattled (and it takes a lot) - better run for cover. He is also stinking rich. From his own hard-work, not from his family. In fact he grew up on welfare.

p.s My Mars Squares the Ascendant, so if there is any aggression in my offspring I don't really have a cause to shout too loud. Someone at AstrologyWeekly must have met me at my worst when they wrote:

"Mars square the Ascendant indicates that you show not moderation in asserting yourself. When you feel the urge to take action about something important, you usually do so without polish or refinement. When you act this way, people resent it and find you offensive. When reminded of your shortcomings, you are offended because you feel you should not have to answer to anyone for your actions. It is nearly impossible to stop you from expressing your opinion, and you don't care where you are or who hears you. Anyone who provokes you invites your immediate reaction, usually a negative one."

Yeah, and who was asking you, Weekly? Come and have a go, then!

You can count me in:
I also have Mars in 12th conjunct ASC (2°) and on top of t hat also conjunct Neptune in the 1st house (5°)

That`s like having a triple Mars-Neptune-aspect: Mars in 12, Neptune in 1 conj. ASC, Mars conjunct Neptune.

I think mars in the 12th makes you suppress your anger, but doing that usually makes it seethe and then it's POW when it comes out.

I have mars in Aries in the 12th and widely conjunct my ASC. (Mars 1 deg 54, ASC 10 deg 45) I had more of a temper when I was younger. Mostly, I was easily irritated more than really angry. I think I'm mellowing out though as I get older. I don't know if there is anything astrological to it or just age...maybe it's in the progressions.

However, there have been a few times (maybe 4-5 times in my life) that I have COMPLETELY lost it...it's kinda scary, actually. Usually it was something relatively minor that set me off, but when that happens, it's like everything that this person has ever done to pi$$ me off is coming out. It's like whatever they did was the final straw.

My mars is part of a T-square with my sun and pluto (mars opposed pluto, both square sun), so you can imagine the fireworks! lol Never violent, just lots of screaming at the top of my lungs. (And maybe a wall punched here and there.) When I was around 10 years old, I was mad at my older brother and I broke my hand punching a door...and that wasn't even one of those REALLY BAD episodes! Yikes!

teaologist, I would say it is at times a self-destructive placement...everything is turned inward, and yes the temper is there waiting...
