"Where there is extensive retrogradation a person experiences difficulty in interfacing with the world: he is usually unable to accept the values of his society or respond to the goals and rewards, which motivate the majority of his contemporaries. Unless he can find an alternative system of values by which to live he is likely to become disillusioned and alienated by the time of his Saturn Return."

(From http://www.dkfoundation.co.uk/BookKarma&NewDirections.htm)

In my sister's chart, five of her planets are retrograde (Jupiter in Aqua in the Ninth, Saturn in Scorpio in the Fifth, Uranus in Sag in the Sixth, Neptune in Capricorn in the Sixth, and Pluto in Scorpio in the Fifth). Anyone else with a similar situation? Any stories/insight?

Your sis has the outermost planets in retrograde - so chances are friends around her age are going to have something similar.

Tradition says that more than 3 planets retrograde means that you are an introvert.

It is generally believed that a retrograde planet is a repetition--that planet in that sign again, meaning that it has been there before in previous lifetimes.

While tradition regards this as due to a failure, I believe that there are many reasons for repeating a planet in a sign, such as:

You want to specialize in the subject and/or do post-graduate work.

A particular experience is retrieved for use in the current incarnation because the information is applicable and beneficial for achievement of the goals of the present lifetime.

In any event, even if it is like repeating a grade in school, you will have some familiarity with the subject. Consequently, such placements can be regarded as somewhat in advance of the same placement in direct motion.

For more info, see "Retrogrades and Consciousness"--available on my website, as listed below.
