my Nemesis is opposite his Moon and his name in his chart and conjunct his DSC

his Nemesis is conjunct my Sun and my name in my chart (in the 1st house)

Probably we`d be our mutual undoing.

However, Nemesis was a goddess of ultimate justice and balance; she punished people for their sins / crimes and also for undeserved happiness.
The important thing here is that she always creates a balance, divine justice and only takes away "undeserved" happiness.
Also, according to the myths she especially punishes arrogance.

For example: The nymph Echo fell in love with the beautiful boy Narcissus, but he didn`t love her back, and even mocked her.
So, Echo prayed to Nemesis and Nemesis took care that Narcissus felt unrequited love, too. In his case he fell in love with his own mirror-image, a love, which of course could never be really consumated. lol
But it was hsi arrogance and his coldness towards Echo`s sufferings that made NEmesis punish him. And she punishes him in a way, that he actually learned a lesson from all of that.

I guess, that is what Nemesis is all about. But of course, since we humans are capable of egotims, arrogance and other nasty things, we feel the justice that NEmesis brings often as severe punishment and extremely painful.

of course you`ll get much information by just looking at the planets.

But why not risk a glance outside the old pathes now and then?

But I do agree - one should get a good grip on the basics - the planets and main angles- first.

I don`t think Nemesis will necessarily lead to hate; in the case I mentioned I don`t hate that guy. In a way through "knowing" him I learned to face reality, and that there are frontiers, I can`t break through.
I learned to accept that I can have feelings for someone, that will never be requited, and still those feelings are worth something for my life. I don`t have to be ashamed of them, just accepting that some things can never be.

In a way this lesson, though painful for me, made me realize that it`s not all about "ME" and about what "I" want; a lesson in humbleness I guess.
It could be his Nemesis conjunct my Sun and MErcury, which rules my DSC.

IT doesn`T have to be that way with you, though.

HOwever, I would focus on the main planets, before you look at nemesis. It`s only one aspect after all.
I think, the aspects and connections between the main planets lay the "groundwork", and it`s there where you can see - if at all-, if you two are compatible.

Do your planets have strong aspects to his rulers of 7th, 5th or 8th house? Sun, Moon, Venus, Mars, ASC or IC?
WEll, if there are some aspects of these, I`m sure you will leave your impression on him.
