Hi,

I saw you mentioning planetary nodes in synastry in Seeing Star`s thread, and I wonder

would you say that aspects with the planetary nodes indicate some "spiritual" connection?

If this is the case, then what would you think is this connection like?

Mars is his chartruler and Venus rulses his DSC.
Jupiter is my chartruler and Mercury rules my DSC.

His Mercury NN:

I am not sure...especially seeing all those asteroids confusing me

I guess it really depends on how you feel about the connection

nodes of Venus or Venus aspecting planetary nodes can point to karmic romantic love

nodes of Juno or Juno aspecting planetary nodes can point to karmic spousal connections

nodes of Ceres or Ceres aspecting planetary nodes can point to karmic karmic family, nurturing connections

also..I only use the points before Jupiter when it comes to nodes themselves and the actual objects to the nodes

the orbs that I use for synastry nodes
conjunction,trine opposition,square,sextile - 1'00
semisextile,quincunx,semisquare,sesquiquadrate - '30
no more than 10 minutes over the maximum for borderline

the nodes of asteroids can bring really good insights.....even asteroid nodes of the name of the person.

Hera,Frigga and its nodes could work just as well as Juno in regards to committed
relationships

Aphrodite,Freia,Eros,Cupido and its node could work just as well as Venus in regards to romantic love

there are probably more

Thank you, Glaucus,

so you wouldn`t even look at the Venus-Nodes aspecting Uranus or Pluto for example?

I edited my list, to have a clearer view:

His Mercury NN:
sextile my Juno 1°03

My Mercury NN.
squre his Mars: 1:06
conjunct his Venus -09

his Mercury SN
square my Juno - 14
sextile my Moon - 05

my Mercury SN:
trine his Juno -36

his Venus NN:
semisquare my Juno - 33

his Venus SN:
conjunct my Mercury -43

his Mars NN:
trine my ASC - 48

my Mars NN.
oposite his Mars - 53

his Mars SN:
sextile my MC - 00
conjunct my Mars -12

my Juno NN:
conjunct his Mars -50
square his Venus -27

my Juno SN
sextile his ASC -40
sextile his Moon-43

I thought it is very interesting that:
my Mercury NN conjuncts his Venus and that his Venus SN conjuncts my Mercury, which means both our 7th house-rulers are involved, I guess maybe that Mercury-Venus-connection could mean that there is indeed a chance for communication.

The other connection that got my attention was:
my Mars NN opposite his Mars, and his Mars SN conjunct my Mars. NOt sure what that means, though.

HOwever, this planetary nodal synastry is really very intriguing.

I don't know. They could work. Only experience can tell. If you think they work, use them.

that looks like possible karmic pastlife romantic love, spousal connection

"don't know. They could work."
I think they could work. But on the other hand it`s also important to not get lost in too many informations and to emphasize the most important, individual, ones. And I think that would be connections to the inner planets, maybe some asteroids like Juno, Ceres, and maybe even Eros, too (I feel this one is triggered a lot in synastries).

"that looks like possible karmic pastlife romantic love, spousal connection"
Could be. Maybe that is the reason he feels so familiar.

I'd definitely include Juno. After all,it's a major asteroid, and it's related to partnerships, relationships, marriage matters...I believe that affairs, infidelity, divorce, alimony fall in there too.

Ceres is a dwarf planet, and it's related to nurturing which would be good for family connections, fertility. I definitely look at that one.

I am not sure about Pallas nor Vesta in regards to relationships. I find Pallas, more mental. As for Vesta,I keep thinking the Virgin. But Vesta can be related to devotion, service. It seems to have some strong Virgo qualities.

there are also the other asteroids named after their counterparts, but I feel that Ceres and the major asteroids have more weight...if its a significant connection, there will more likely be aspects involving those objects and so no need to look for their counterparts.

I'd check the Greek counterparts

Juno - Hera
Ceres - Demeter

Lucina for having children

In Roman mythology, Lucina was the goddess of childbirth. She safeguarded the lives of women in labor. Later, Lucina was an epithet for Juno as ("she who brings children into light"). The name was generally taken to have the sense of "she who brings children into the light" (Latin: lux "light"), but may actually have been derived from lucus ("grove") after a sacred grove of lotus trees on the Esquiline Hill associated with the goddess and tended by the Vestal virgins. The asteroid 146 Lucina is named after the goddess.

In my synastry with my girlfriend:

My Lucina in 28'34 Gemini R
Her Lunar Nodes in 28'25 Gemini/Sagittarius
Her Pluto in 28'41 Libra R in
Her Lucina in 28'53 Capricorn
Her Neptune in 29'14 Sagittarius

In my composite chart with my girlfriend:

Ascendant in 13'35 Gemini
Lucina in 13'43 Aries in 11th
Eris in 13'42 Aries in 11th
Hera in 14'43 Aries in 11th
Pluto in 14'46 Libra in 5th

Yes, she seems to be important, as well as Ceres.

"I am not sure about Pallas nor Vesta in regards to relationships. I find Pallas, more mental. As for Vesta,I keep thinking the Virgin."
Maybe those two relate more to platonic relationships, as friendships or the relation between coworkers?

"I'd check the Greek counterparts"
Do you think they have the same meaning as the Roman counterparts? Or is there a different "nuance" to them?

"In Roman mythology, Lucina was the goddess of childbirth."
I didn`t know that. And I am a latin teacher. But yes I do reconize that it stems from "luc" - "light".

I just checked my own chart for Juno, Ceres, Pallas, Vesta, Demeter, Hera and Lucina, and I noticed that I have some very tight conjunctions here.

Ceres conjunct my chartruler, Jupiter 1-36
Pallas conjunct Hera -01
Vesta widely conjunct Sun 5-26
Vesta conjunct Demeter -01
Lucina conjunct Moon - 17
Demeter widely conjunct sun 5-27

Interesting.

"In my synastry with my girlfriend:

In my composite chart with my girlfriend:

Ascendant in 13'35 Gemini
Lucina in 13'43 Aries in 11th
Eris in 13'42 Aries in 11th
Hera in 14'43 Aries in 11th
Pluto in 14'46 Libra in 5th"

Wow, that looks strong! Would you interprete that that it`s your fate, or at least part of your lifepaths, to have children, since your Lucina is conjunct her NN?
How would you interprete having Pluto opposing Lucina from the 5th house?

I looked - just for fun- at the mentioned synastry with these asteroids and found out this:

his Hera 27°28 Aries
his Lucina 29°23 Aries
his moon 29°34 Aries
his ASC 28°26 Aries
his Ceres 00°00 Cancer
his Sun 00°12 Capricorn
my Vesta 01°22 Capricorn
my Demeter 01°23 Capricorn
his Vesta 1°16 Scorpio
my Uranus 1°21 Scorpio

my Ceres 09°37 Pisces
my Jupiter 11°12 Pisces
my Neptune 09°56 Sagittarius
my NN 10°10 Sagittarius
my Plouto 09°05 Libra
his Mars 09°32 Libra
my Pallas 09°10 Aquarius
my Hera 09°09 Aquarius
his Venus 10°47 Capricorn

my Juno 16°58 Pisces
my Moon 17°06 Aquarius
my Lucina 17°24 Aquarius
my Saturn 16°57 Cancer
his Mercury 15°32 Sagittarius
his NN 15°21 Scorpio

Also, what I found interesting is, that both of us have Moon-Lucina-conjunction natally, and so Moon is also conjunct Lucina in the composite:

Moon 22°50 Pisces in 2nd house
Lucina 23°24 PIsces in 2nd house
Jupiter 22°04 Taurus in 3rd / 4th house
Saturn 20°14 Taurus in 3rd house
IC 23°31 Taurus

EDIT:

I followed a hunch and looked at the Nodes, and
my Sun falls exactly onto his Lucina SN - both are on 25°56 Sagittarius.

Glaucus,

Have you ever compared your natal Junos to your composite chart?
Such as a natal Juno conjunct Sun/Venus composite?

Hi DD,

I'd say that they they are very similar.

"Wow, that looks strong! Would you interprete that that it`s your fate, or at least part of your lifepaths, to have children, since your Lucina is conjunct her NN?

I am not sure. maybe she and I will be involved in children in other ways like sponsoring. I am just not sure.

could be obsession in regards to having children maybe. Child is square Pluto in 5th in composite.

good hunch on the South Lucina Node contact!

yeah..asteroid nodes work in synastry.
