Let's say in Synastry, Person A's Sun conjuncts Person B's DESC. Strong connection, right? But is it be better if the Sun falls in Person B's 6th or 7th house? You know, since it can fall either way.If you had to choose which would you prefer? Anyone here have experience with having your Sun (or other personal planet) conjunct a partner's DESC? Vice versa? A lot of the time if a planet is close to the end of one house it will be interpreted in the next..so if Person A's sun conjuncts Person B's DESC but sun is in the end of the 6th house, I would interpret it in the 7th. Of course it would be "Better" to have it in the 7th house if the focus IS the relationship. My best male friend's sun conjuncts my DESC (7th house), we developed a great strong friendship and we are very close. However, I usually dislike male Taurus suns. ------------------ Capricorn sun / Scorpio rising / Sagittarius moon Mercury:: Sagittarius Venus::Scorpio Mars::Pisces IP: Logged |

ideally, i guess i would choose the 7th house (relationships), but if it's conjunct the descendant, i would probably be very happy anyway. i think sun conjunct descendant is about the sun personalizing the traits i look for in others. be it good or bad trait, real or projected, the rest of the charts decide i suppose. but i didn't come across this in any synastry i made for me. so that's just a guess ------------------ a message to my friends IP: Logged |

augentier: Why are planets interpreted as being in the next house when they're at the end of one? It's weird that there's no such thing as being "born on cusps" but astrology interprets this sort of thing differently.Do you and your friend have a comfortable friendship or is it more exciting and dynamic? If we are talking about an intimate relationship then I'de prefer the 7th house.. If however I were choosing a midwife, dentist, coworker or the like... the 6th house would suit me much better, LOL!------------------ Sendin' love your way, "your friend in spirit" IP: Logged |

Sarai, I'm not sure why they are often interpreted that way but the interpretations become more accurate (in my experience) ..though I do find that there is "left over" influence from the previous house .example: My Mars falls at the very end of my 4th house, it fits me much better when interpreted in the 5th but I feel like the 4th house stuff is there, just not on the surface..like it has evolved past that, and it is now imbedded deep inside. If that makes sense. The friendship with my Taurus friend is exciting and dramatic, sometimes makes me want to punch someone to be honest. But we also have a number of excitable aspects between us. I feel the sun conjunct desc between us to be what made us so easily start and maintain a friendship even though it started off on the wrong foot. It just makes it easier to put up with each other. ------------------ Capricorn sun / Scorpio rising / Sagittarius moon Mercury:: Sagittarius Venus::Scorpio Mars::Pisces IP: Logged |
