Grey Wolf’s 13 Moon signs – which is yours? This is taken from the book Earth Signs by Grey Wolf. So if you have a problem with having the Moon Totem of trout or beaver, take it up with him, not me. Looking out on a busy street rather than a field makes it easy for me to forget the seasonal imagery of the zodiac. The imagery in this book is a reminder, though what I have written down her is skimming the surface for brevity’s sake. I do find myself drawn to imagery from nature in general, maybe it is my Taurean Mercury & Venus Conjunct. Fast Waterflow Moon - 11 March to 10 April People of the Fast Waterflow Moon will be sensitive to new beginnings, to the dawning of enlightenment, and will carry an innocence and clarity with them throughout their lives. Their moon totem is the Hawk Planting Moon 11 April to 10 May Planting Moon people will be excellent at promoting new ideas, and will bring energy and enthusiasm to any tasks they undertake. Their moon totem is the Beaver. Flowering Moon - 11 May to 10 June People of the Flowering Moon will be people who will be blooming. They exude and bubble and burst forth with energy and beauty. Their moon totem is the Deer.

the Blue Moon They occur every two and a half years where there are two autumnal moons in the same segment – to find out when you need a lunar calendar. Blue Moon people have the snake as a Moon Totem, an animal which should be respected not feared. Blue Moon people are beautiful in nature but volatile. P.S My sign is NOT blue moon, it doesn’t suit at all as I am ophidiophobic and certainly not beautiful. Maybe volatile. I am a Flowering Moon person – born as spring slips into summer.

About the Blue Moon . . . quote: They occur every two and a half years where there are two autumnal moons in the same segment
What does this mean? Does the term "segment" mean lunar phase? What are "autumnal moons"? IP: Logged |

I'm the hooter. The description of "stopping, waiting, listening and watching before taking any action" fits, for the most part. I'm not as impulsive as Sags are described as typically being. That's what a Virgo Mars and Scorpio ASC/Mercury will do. IP: Logged |

Sorry, I did a cut and paste number on the blue moon explanation. I think he means that if in one month there are two full moons, the second is known as a blue moon. There is a handy blue moon calculator on here: http://www.obliquity.com/astro/bluemoon.html Once in a Blue Moon ... is a common way of saying not very often, but what exactly is a Blue Moon? According to the popular definition, it is the second Full Moon to occur in a single calendar month. The average interval between Full Moons is about 29.5 days, whilst the length of an average month is roughly 30.5 days. This makes it very unlikely that any given month will contain two Full Moons, though it does sometimes happen. On average, there will be 41 months that have two Full Moons in every century, so you could say that once in a Blue Moon actually means once every two-and-a-half years. IP: Logged |
