Hey I'm just wondering what your experience with this moon sign is. I feel that it's often misrepresented. The best description I read of it was it's like having no ego. So you are coming across somewhat self centered because you're trying to find yourself. What do you think?IP: Logged |

i have a leo moon and i do experience that when i do fall in love...i fall hard and i have so many expectations of my mate, but when they don't add up to what i expect them to be i get soooo disappointed (even if it wasn't based on reality to begin with!). it's a little nutty. but i must say our emotions are loyal and are very romantic and cheerful! I have a venus in aquarius (detached unemotional love) so it kinda balances out my nutty moon in a way.Good post...i'm interested in what other people experience with this moon! ------------------ Sag Sun/Aquarius Rising/Leo Moon IP: Logged |

This is what i got from http://www.novareinna.com The Leo Moon is an intelligent and strongly emotional Moon. This Moon marches to the beat of its own drummer and relishes being the center of attention. The Leo Moon is an exceedingly charming Moon with an exceptional sense of humor. It is a leader, not a follower. However, this Moon possesses a dramatic flair and tends to take itself too seriously. The Leo Moon is not by nature a self-sacrificing Moon.
In general, the personality of those whose Moon sign is in Leo will be strong, proud and courageous by nature, exuding energy and drive. Such individuals relish responsibility and may be prone to take on too much. There is a natural attraction to authority here, coupled with enjoyment of being in the public eye. Persons governed by the Moon in Leo would much rather lead than follow and inherent pride makes them most susceptible to love affairs. The opposite sex finds this individual extremely interesting because of the frequency and sincerity of such affairs. The actions of those ruled by the Leo Moon attract the attention and respect of superiors within the workplace, which can mean only good things as far as any career is concerned. Such individuals are usually encouraging souls, optimistic and generous with money...sometimes a little too much so, which also applies to the display of affection. Nothing is ever done in half-measures by Leo Moon people and they are prone to set high standards, both on a personal level and for others. Anyone with the Moon in Leo will possess a strong intellect and an extreme love of the arts. Occupations are often associated with the theater, music, painting or literature. There is also a devout love of luxury and a grandiose sense of style. Lively in spirit with a desire to make a statement and a definite distaste for being ignored, the individual governed by a Leo Moon has high intelligence and excellent prioritizing skills. Leo Moon Influence On The Fire Signs (Aries - Leo - Sagittarius) Provides an enhanced creativity aspect to the personality Leo Moon Influence On The Air Signs (Libra - Aquarius - Gemini) Provides an enhanced aspect to the personality Leo Moon Influence On The Earth Signs (Capricorn - Taurus - Virgo) Provides a money-making aspect to the personality Leo Moon Influence On The Water Signs (Cancer - Scorpio - Pisces) Provides an emotionally influential aspect to the personality

You come across self-centered because you are self-centered. This of course is mitigated by other aspects, and the Moon's house placement, but Leo, as a sign, corresponds to the self. It is the king, the actor, the belle of the ball, the center of attention. The sign Leo relates to "self-expression". Just like the Sun, which = ME or I. Self-centeredness is not selfishness. It just denotes a person who is very aware of themself and their surroundings and in turn, is very preoccupied with things that directly affect *them*. Now taken to the extreme, this obviously is less pleasant, but if handled maturely and in a balanced manner, I don't see a problem with it. Leo is all about the self and how the self feels, expresses itself, and how it is, in it's true nature. Leo wants to feel special, individual, one of a kind. Though, as we all know, charts and astrology in itself isn't that simple. So many of us, especially with the MOON in Leo, (which makes this need much more personal) go on quests to do just that. It's not just finding ourselves, its understanding and searching for that essence that makes us proud (Leo) of who WE are as individuals and that makes us FEEL as if we truly are "special", in our own right. Leo Moons spend a lot of time wondering if they're good enough. At least this one does. For a placement so sensitive to the opinions of others, how can we not be centered around ourselves? We're constantly worrying if we add up, if we're good enough, if he/she likes us? If we're funny, if we're pretty enough, it we're smart enough. I mean if we're not noticed, we flip out and it turns into "I don't shine as brightly as Person A so I must not be worth it". This causes us to internally work on making ourselves not only feel better constantly, but "better" in the eyes of everyone else. I think a lot of people narrow that down to arrogance, self-centeredness, and dramatics because in it's extreme form, it's exactly that. But like I said, when well managed, I don't see anything wrong with that. Maybe because I'm on the inside looking out ------------------ Sagittarius AC, Sun in Scorpio, Moon in Leo IP: Logged |

Hi, my sun is in Scorpio, Sagittarius rising and leo moon here. In relationships I love alot of attention. I love complements and romantic settings. I think having my moon in leo helps me to be a bit more upbeat because my emotions run very deep, (I have venus and mars in Scorpio as well). IP: Logged |

THANKYOU! I am glad someone sees the difference between the two. Being self-aware is not being selfish; We are all in one way or another looking in someway to enhance our lives. Some might do it with regards to keeping others in prespective while others do in keeping THEMSELVES in view instead. As long as the ending result has a more positive outcome on the person without major collateral problems, then there is nothing wrong with being self-centered. Yes, I am a Leo moon and I will outright admit that I do keep myself in prespective with major decicions as well as those who are VERY near and dear to me. IP: Logged |

Yay, Leo moon!! I think I would never have had a romantic relationship in my life if it were not for this aspect... and it's in my 5th house opposing my sun/merc/mars... Oh, yes... I have to be the center of their world, but trust me when I say, I will make my partner the center of mine, too. IP: Logged |

Ghanima81, I'm the same way! What do you do when they don't make you the center ALL the time, but you love them?? Sometimes I struggle with that. ------------------ Sag Sun/Aquarius Rising/Leo Moon IP: Logged |

Hmmm Mizz I TOTALLY relate about how hard it is not to be made the center all the time. I honestly think that when you find someone right for you as I feel I have, while they may not be able to make you the center of their life ALL the time they will at least understand your sensitivity about it and do their best IP: Logged |

I'm thankful for my Leo Moon. I think of it as the part of myself that's encouraging and warm, towards myself and others. It's about delighting in uninhibited self-expression. About finding and creating joy. It's a great source of strength, too, b/c it gives the courage and ability to get through life's hardships without losing heart. What I like most about Leo energy is that it's pure and warm. Leo wants to celebrate the good things in life, including the good things in people. Doing that basically celebrates creation. But Leo influenced people who celebrate themselves more than they do others get on my nerves. Other Leo Moons -- when you meet critical, cold people, does it not just hurt but also bewilder you? I think most Leo Moons have a general good will toward people and nurture others by encouraging them, and we expect others to grant us the same treatment. People who get off on criticizing and tearing others down bewilder me. I mean, I understand that people have different temperaments and that most jerks are just giving back what they feel they've already received from the world, but that way of relating to the world seems like such a waste of life to me. Leo is sensitive. Fortunately, my Scorpio Asc and Mercury provide a strong barrier. I only let in people I trust. They may be square signs, but I think Leo and Scorpio go pretty well together. Dirty Mind (Sco Merc) + Pure Heart (Leo Moon) = Good times. My Moon trines Neptune, sextiles Pluto, and squares Uranus. I can see all those influences in my emotional nature. I do need undivided attention, but not for too long. Too much attention makes me claustrophobic, and people who require too much attention from me drain me and feel like a burden. My Uranus square is definitely alive and kicking. Have you other Leo Moons noticed an attraction to lovers with Mars in Leo? They're my favorite. IP: Logged |

Yup, yup yup!! Oh, my feelings get so hurt by other people being mean! I can't even be near a tv these days, especially if American Idol is on.. You know what I mean? Seeing people put down that way makes me literally sick... *edited to add:* Almost every ex I've had had Mars in Virgo... strange! The current has Mars in Cancer, 7th... IP: Logged |

ghanima - Ha, I can relate a little about the AI thing. In any sort of talent competition, when someone performs horribly, my stomach aches for them. In those cases, I often don't watch the judges' critiques b/c I can't stand watching the competitor feel humiliated. But there is a time and place for everything, even criticism. If anything is my master, it's truth. I welcome criticism and honest debate when it comes from a genuine interest in learning the truth. It only bothers me when the motivation is more egocentric, like the desire to demean the other person. I have Mars in Virgo. Hello there. IP: Logged |

hey all, fellow leo moon here! saggie sun and cappie asc. i love my leo moon but it can cause problems too. in arguments, i can become very firey and people have said i appear arrogant when in reality i am masking my hurt. In love - i understood the comment about idolising your partner but then i make mine my centre too and would do anything for them. but i have to be the centre too, i have know he will be there for me.I have fallen for a cappie who i like for his steadfastness and stability but he also has a saggie moon so fun for me too! but i think leo moons are generally warm hearted and loyal.
