Could anyone tell me the good, the bad, and the ugly of a relationship where each persons Saturn conjuncts the other persons Ascendant?

Saturn / Asc - Libra / Cancer
Saturn / Asc - Cancer / Libra

Thanks!

Sounds dynamic.

Lyn Birbeck describes Saturn CNJ ASC aspect as a 'Key Contact'* in his book "Do It Yourself Relationship Astrology". He describes it as a parent/child relationship where Saturn is the teacher. The time taken learning the lesson, as it were, suggests that such relationships are likely to be long-lasting.

With a double dose, you both have something significant to learn off the other.

As your signs are Libra/Cancer then I am guessing there is an age gap in the relationship, about 14 years? But my feeble grasp of astronomy could be letting me down.

What's the downside, well, it can be a drag being with someone who says, "when you are as old as me you won't think..."

* Key Contact = regarded by some astrologers as essential for a relationship to have any real significance. Birbeck describes these contacts as CNJ or OPP cross-aspects between on person's ASC and planets in the other person's chart.

I think it might be a ten year difference.

I have experienced saturn conj ASC many times in synastry. Always as the saturn person. There definitely is a strong teaching about the world component. The ASC represents the window to the world in a way and the saturn persons attachment and authority will come through that as they show and advise from their experience. The relationship will be less about getting into the depths of emotional dynamics (moon) or love and relationships (venus) or cognitive style (mercury) for the personal planet/point person. It seems to be more about whats *out there* and how to navigate it. Which isnt to say that core dynamics wont come up but if they do they will be more tangential. The saturn person will likely be seen as the expert on the world. It is likely there will be longevity and strong attachment like any other saturn contact to a personal planet. Also, all the typical saturn attachment issues will probably come up in a more modified and maybe less chronic way.
This only goes for the conjunction in my experience - the square and opposition to the ASC have no effect.
