I was asked by a couple why they can't have children. I looked at the charts and it seems to be his fault wich turned out to be correct, I wasn't told that.
I'm familiar with progressions, but I don't have the experience to look for apropiate periods for conception, I haven't studied this subject before.
I could look at the transits but the progressions are more powerful in my opinion. Of course, they would like to know if they can have children, wich I think is not the question but rather "when can they try to concieve to have results?" according to the progressed charts. Can anyone give me a point to start?
The natal for him is pretty clear with Saturn rx in the 5th opposing steluim of all the personal planets in the 11th. In her case I didnt't see any indications. The synastry and composite do not show anything spectacular. I could also try to analize the progressed charts for their wedding date? Could I find anything there?

Where should I be looking?
I'm interested particulary in these periods favorable for conception. Because he is the problem his progressed chart should be considered first?

The Moon ~ when she's ovulating ~ if her cycle is regular she can use basic maths (worked for me), or head to the pharmacist for an ovulation kit.

This will sound like an old wives tale, but sitting in a bath of cold water is meant to be good for sperm mobility (i.e before heading off for action). Studies have been done on this ~ I'm a health librarian, btw ~ if I get time at work I'll hunt out some info on this and post it up.

Also, waiting 24 hours between each marital encounter is going to give his sperm count a chance to build up again.

What they need is a bit of luck and something to boost their confidence. Have a look for difficult transits or progressions that are going to move.

I had a string of miscarriages, but then hit on a winner after the progressed Sun moved off its Square to natal Uranus. I then conceived twins. One died in utero, but you don't need to tell them that.

Have you had a look at Ceres on both charts?

What about advising them a good date to go see a faith healer ~ if you know one with a good reputation that you can trust. It might boost their confidence, help them relax.

Sorry, this doesn't really help answer your question much but I am trying to think of anything that might increase their chances even the tiniest amount ~ having walked this path myself ~ not same reason, but it doesn't really matter at the end of the day if you want a baby together. Though interestingly he has an afflicted Saturn in the 5th. No conception problems from his end, as it were. Nor mine, it was keeping them was my problem.

Thank you blue moon

They are trying for several years. They went to clinics, followed treatments and now the relationship is in danger because all the frustration
Unfortunately I can't tell them these things, and I am sure they know about everything.
I guess they are looking for what everybody looks when they ask an astrologer.

I found this information regarding Moon and fertility:
1) there are two independent monthly rhythms of fertility: the ovulation cycle and the period of time in the monthly cycle when sexual intercourse can give rise to "reflex ovulation" (a spontaneous ovulation). The reflex ovulation is related to the Moon phase return, i.e. the repetition of the angle between your natal Sun and the natal Moon.

Whenever such a monthly Moon phase return occurs, the woman is in a fertile period (irrespective of her own biological or ovulation cycle) and can become pregnant.

When in the progressions of a female horoscope there is a Moon phase return (actually, around the age of 27), we can expect this to be the year of highest fertility.

From my astrological practice I've found that the Moon phase return is a highly important fertility cycle that should not be neglected but it's not the only one and does not work for every woman either.

2) A 2nd fertility cycle can be found any time the transiting Moon conjuncts the natal Ascendant. The Moon's position here marks another fertile high. Interestingly, the Ascendant marks the moment of birth of the native. When the Moon travels over the Ascendant, it brings on or triggers another 'birth' moment that may be related to the conception of a child.

3) A 3rd important fertility cycle is found when the transiting Moon is parallel the natal Sun. A parallel is formed when two points or planets are in the same declination within an orb of 1°. The declination is the number of degrees a point or planet is North or South of the Equator. The declinations can be found in any ephemeris. This Sun-Moon combo is another one blending the lunar and solar principle, the same as with the Moon phase return and denoting another fertile moment.

The first two methods are ok but the 3rd is nor reliable because I don't have the exact birthtime.

But my main concern is his chart. should I look for Mars aspects? I am new at this

Thank you

I doubt there is any male equivalent to the astrological Moon cycles. But logically, if she is at her most fertile they stand a better chance. So personally in this situation I would offer those.

Maybe look for any heavy transits to his Saturn and/or opposing stellium.

p.s

With Venus as sperm on Glaucus' list above - maybe have a look at progressed Venus.

I've had a look at around the time my children were conceived (I've got a good idea of the dates) - on their father's chart - and found progressed Venus was 4 degrees applying to the natal Sun in the 5th house for the first son, 1 degree applying to the Sun for the second son. His natal Sun is CNJ Saturn in the 5th, Opposite Mars in the 11th.

progressed Venus was 2 degrees applying to the South Node in the 5th when his daughter was conceived. I don't know the exact date - I wasn't there!
