I am especially interested in the placement of Lilith, what it means:

No effort, no work, no job, no savings & money, a choice, right now, between fear & love. The eyes of fear want you to put bigger locks on your door, buy guns, close yourself off, the eyes of love instead see all of us as one"..... ~Bill Hicks IP: Logged |

I'm far from being a Black Moon Lilith expert, but it does seem to be associated with childbirth, pregnancy and sexuality. So on this chart, it Squares Venus by 3 degrees, so translated that suggests tension in romantic and social terms, or maybe in artistic expression - bit of a Tracey Emin vibe. However, in this piece the author suggests that only conjunctions and oppositions should be considered. I don't know what you think about that or if Lilith has any personal effect on your chart? http://groups.msn.com/HOROSCOPESCHAT/lilithchiron.msnw Only conjunctions and oppositions to apogee Lilith within a three degree orb are considered in interpretation. Such aspects to Sun, Mercury or Venus in females are thought to heighten the expression of their sexuality in their public image; those to the Moon can indicate difficulties connected with pregnancy and childbirth; and those to Mars favour the expression of independence, sometimes attracting opposition from men.

Black Moon Lilith is the lunar apogee which is the point of the Moon's orbit that if farthest from the Earth. the opposite point of Black Moon Lilith is the lunar perigree which is the point of the Moon's orbit that is closest to the Earth. So the lunar apogee and perigree is actually one axis the lunar perigree/apogee axis, and its based on the Moon. Therefore,it has lunar symbolism and relates to the feminine, emotions, feelings, sensitivity, unconscious, nurturing. it can be a feminist type of energy as it relates to females. Gee is the suffix that means pertaining to the Earth as in Geocentric planets other than the moon have perigrees and apogees too.
Here is an article about Black Moon Lilith by Juan Revilla,an astronomically oriented astrologer http://www.expreso.co.cr/centaurs/blackmoon/lilith.html Lunar Symbolism is most powerful female archetypal symbolism any way,and so I believe that there is no need to name it Lilith, and it certainly doesn't make any sense to name the opposite point,Priapus and say that it has to do with masculine energy....it would make sense that the lunar perigree would also relate to feminine energy too. After all,it is based on the moon's orbit, and it is the point of the moon's orbit that is closest to earth.
I don't think we would call the apogees of planets black planets, why call the apogee of the moon, the black moon
if you look at intepretations of the lunar nodes in Vedic astrology, they pertain to parts of the demon, Rahu and Ketu and are acknowledged to be involved with eclipses. Therefore, they were considered to be powerful shadow planets. I see a similar thing done to the lunar apogee/perigree axis in western astrology. IP: Logged |

shrugsI don't see how the lunar apogee(Black Moon Lilith) is like Scorpio...except that it's emotional, intuitive I have osculating lunar apogee(True Black Moon Lilith)conjunct my Sun with 22 minutes of arc. My Sun is even more complicated by the 5 minute conjunction to the plutino,Ixion and 10 minute conjunction to the South Eris Node. my Sun conjunct true black Moon Lilith represents my unknown father who was described by my mother as highly emotional, sensitive, moody, erratic like the symbolism of Lilith. Because lunar apogee is based on the moon's orbit, it's emotional, sensitive, intuitive, relating to the unconscious As a watersign, Scorpio also relates to being emotional, sensitive, intuitive, unconscious I feel that it's important to understand the orbital symbolism of the black moon lilith to understand its actual meaning. Just going by the mythological symbolism can be rather misleading.
Even the Lilith character can be the shadow side of the lunar traits. The lunar apogee is more like the shadow side of the moon. the apogee of a planet is like the shadow side of the planet. I have Mercury almost exactly conjunct the Mercury apogee, and I have a history of significant problems in related to Mercury but later on developed strength in those areas after getting special help. If lunar apogee is like Scorpio, then is lunar perigree like Taurus? After all, lunar perigree is the opposite point of the lunar apogee. of course,I don't believe that lunar apogee is like Scorpio nor do I believe that lunar perigree is like Taurus. IP: Logged | |
