Topic: Compatible signs that don't aspect each other; is there stil compatibilty?

I've always wondered this about synastry. Lets say you had (i'll use me for example) Gem sun, Libra moon, Cancer venus, and Virgo Asc, all of which are in the late degrees of each sign. Lets say i'm interested in an Aqua female that has a Aqua sun, Gemini moon, Pisces venus, and Taurus Asc, all of which are in the early degrees of each sign and don't make any contact with my planets orb wise.Wouldn't there still be some compatibility there just based off personality type associated with each sign? Like, even though our planets don't make aspects to each other, wouldn't we still have excellent communication between each other? Wouldn't we still see the world pretty much the same way? I mean, that person is still very much an airy person and so am I so even though we don't aspect each other's planets, that shouldn't negate that we have similar personalities. Am I wrong about this? I'm not interested in anyone like this now, its just a general thought I've been having. ------------------

I have yet to meet people in long term relationships that didn't have aspects to each other. So, imo, if the planets do not aspects each other, you just don't connect. There are some subtle aspects like quindecile, semisextile, etc, they may have some importance, but I don't think they are more important that the traditional aspects like square, opposition, trine, conjunction, sextile. I think your personalities would be similar but you wouldn't meet halfway, or go deeper.
It could be like 2 ships in the night leading parallel lives. There would be an intrinsic difference between you that you will feel - even though you appear to be compatible, you would not necessarily be.You'd see the world the same way if the houses your planets are in are similar or somewhat similar. Let's say if you have planets in the 9th, 5th and 10th, and she does as well, no matter the planets, there would be a similarity, as your lives would be focused in the same direction. As is mentioned, there must at least be an aspect, preferably between mercury and a benefic planet for a connection. Otherwise, sun/ ASC and moon are good too. IP: Logged | |
