What seems to be affecting your character the most? Sun, Moon or Ascendant? Or what do you THINK mostly does?I have always been wondering cause my Sun is in Sag, Moon in Leo and Asc in Cancer. Sag and Leo are two very happy signs! BUT it seems that I am a very melancholic person...I look nothing like Saggies! I guess itīs the Cancer...:-( IP: Logged |

Interesting...My sun (Aqua) moon (Leo) opposition is a daily power struggle, so I don't know if I'm ready to take heads off or make peace half the time... I think it helps that I have two other major planets is Aqua... but my Aries rising is a force to be reckoned with... I'd say all in all, I'm still trying to come to grips with these major energies going on, and learning every day new ways to express them and channel them positively... Hmm... If I had to only choose one of those, I would say my Sun in  probably affects me most because I yearn for human communication. Its crazy, because everywhere I go I have this deep want to connect with people from all walks of life and it takes me nothing to start up a genuine, friendly conversation with anyone. Doesn't matter if you are a Governor or a Janitor, Cop, or Fortune 500 CEO, i'll chat with ya on a genuine level. Where I work, I have come across all these types (I met the Governor at school) and more and I have noticed that I have always had this knack for starting up meaningful conversation with anyone. I'm also super curious about a lot of things and I have to investigate as soon as my curiosity bug bites me. And i'm the epitome of a "Gister!" Its crazy, I quickly go over things to get the main gist of its subject matter and move on. When in High School and college, I actually used to start reading magazines from back to front lol! And I am going to make a mental effort to stop this, I am a flirt by nature. It just happens when it happens and I really don't mean anything by it, however, for personal reasons, i'm going to cut that out. And one more thing, they say Gems love everyone for different reasons, ITS TRUE LOL! And I am fascinated with everything "love!" So yeah, my sun affects me the most. Sags can get melancholic. The stereotype is the cheerful optimist, but most of the Sags I know have more depth than that. Like all Mutable signs there's a desire for a certain degree of perfection in your life, and that can lead to disappointment when it doesn't happen. IP: Logged |

As to the question, I feel that they mix. My Virgo Moon and Gemini rising are both Mercury ruled. These give me traits a little similar to what Got Gemini described. I also like connecting with people regardless of their station in life. I'm super curious. I'm a very fast learner. I can be a flirt. Bored easily. Fidgety.My Capricorn Sun also mixes in, though. It's influence keeps me from being quite the talker that my Mercury-ruler would suggest. It also throws in practicality, seriousness, and slow plotting. Capricorn is an initiator, and that's definitely true. IP: Logged |

Actually, I see AC/DC/IC/MC as "filters" of the planet energies of a chart. I'm a double Aries with Virgo AC, and deep inside I'm very Aries, but I often appear to be more like a Virgo (only when I feel really comfortable and relaxed that my Aries side surfaces). X3 You can say that my inner Aries kid is often supervisioned by my Virgo side, and my Virgo side is often telling it to behave and have manners, not to be impatient and impulsive and etc. lol.. ^_^;IP: Logged |

only those very close see my pisces sun in effect. comes out when im alone, absorbed in prayer, books, music and thoughtcancer moon-i get all clannish and clingy with my loved ones, so just my family really see this leo asc-the me who most people meet, an opinion on everything, carefree, confident, with lovin' watery undertones! I definitely feel a lot of my aqua sun, and little to none of my Aries... my roommate is an Aries, and she is the typical Aries child... impatient, self-centered, temper, impulsive... i'm the exact opposite. I am extremely patient and level-headed, I rarely get angry and I almost never raise my voice... I overthink and analyze pretty much everything. I "think" more than I "feel". Emotions are sorta abstract to me, I can feel them...but I can't communicate them or describe them... I'm also a "non-conformist" and yes, I do sometimes go out of my way to be different, it's just my style. I am super friendly and gregarious, but casually. I have a ton of acquaintances, and only a handful of best friends. I definitely identify as an Aqua mostly.------------------

My moon in Aquarius. Scientific by nature. Independent, rebellious, contrary. Peace loving yet controversial. Friendly yet detached. A complete weirdo at times. But most of the time I feel like my Uranus. (LOL!) It's a singleton in Sagittarius (only fire, only mutable) and it's my least aspected planet. It's in my 5th house and I believe it represents my son (an Aquarius ascendant and a li'l genius to boot!) I feel like a Sag a lot. I'm optimistic, immature, irresponsible - I like to travel the world bit by bit (just got back from Canada and Amsterdam!). Constantly itchy feet. I love to learn - my degree is in Philosophy and Psychological studies (sounds pretty Sag to me!) My Taurean sun's stubbornness and love for food, and my Scorpio mars' fondness for shock value do come into play too, but I do feel most like the two I mentioned above. Oh - and I definitely look most like my Leo ASC - loads of effing hair!!! (I'm bossy like a Leo too!) I dunno!!!  IP: Logged |

Hmm..Well, the most important planet in my chart is my Mercury (which is conjunct my Sun and is also my chart ruler because of my rising sign). It is in Aquarius, just like my Sun. IP: Logged |

For sure my sun. however as i am getting older i feel i am 'growing' into my sun, kind of like becoming an adult. my asc is conjunct my sun in scorpio so thats easy for me lol.IP: Logged |

I have a lot of Uranian energy in my chart, so my Aquarian Sun is very apparent... but I also think my Libra rising is very evident. I am very diplomatic and I can turn on the charm when required and I can diffuse any argument or confrontation. I am very good at getting people to see logic and reason and coming to a compromise. I don't think my Capricorn Moon is very apparent until you get to know me well. IP: Logged |

Guess, I read/heard that before ... that when a person is growing older or: is maturing, he/she is getting closer to the original qualities of her SUN-sign, whereas during youth/adolescence, the ASCENDANT plays a more important role. I do feel like that very much! Up until my middle twenties I guess my AC was very dominant - it's in Scorpio, cj. Neptune, sextiled by Pluto ... made me rather intoverted, but aggressive, quite "tense", and rather unapproachable in a way. I was quite unsecure with myself then. (Later I learned that many people found me quite alluring/mysterious during my youth ... but I suffered with the impression of "coming on too strong" and didn't like myself very much. I always wondered why I seemed to "scare" people away.) Then, from my early twenties until my early thrities, my MOON grew in importance - it's in 1st house in Sagg - I was roaming a lot, changing towns and appartments about a hundred times and grew more open and adventurous. I left my parents at the age of 19 and made some wild experiments (professionally etc.) and really surprised myself several times, living through kind of a "post-adolescent" period, with childish but also bold and courageous tendencies. I discovered my need and talent for independence - and enjoyed it a lot. I defintely changed then! It made me the person who I am now - sometimes "the life of the party", I guess. Yes - I am very much and easily "liked" by people now and make friends and acquaintances easily and guess I am "entertaining". My SUN is in Cancer in 8th ... so the MOON (as ruler of Cancer) is important for me, especially with that 1st house placement. So I'd say: MOON was the most influential planet in my early adulthood. It gave form to my adult personality, helped me to finally "come out" with my better qualities and strenghts. But ... now ... at the end of my thirties, I feel that I might have neglected the needs and qualities of my sun sign a bit ... Cancer's need for feeling "secure" and to share and sincerely care for others ... just the opposite of being extremely indenpendent ... craving some sort of mental/emotional "home" - I just don't have that in my life. Some may call it a "midlife crisis" ... I am thinking about whether I could have evaded/avoided my REAL needs by acting out my power-orientated (ASC) and independent (MOON) tendencies too much until now ... I am seeking for a new, pure way of fulfillment, currently. And suddenly ... matters concerned with my 8th house Cancer seem to grow in importance for me ... I am buffled by this. It seems to me that I have to "get to know" my Sun sign first ... Currently, I am wondering what it is that my soul might long for ... I have the strong feeling that something is lacking and that I sort of ... "danced around" the essentials of my personality. Actually, I don't even LIKE the attributes usually attached to CANCER, I rather despise them. Discovering (and accepting) my SUN sign-qualities seems to be the task over the coming years for me ... that's how it feels currently. I feel like an absolute beginner, once more in my life. Not surprisingly, it's NOT my Taurus Sun (which sits in House 7, where it...doesn't do all that well). I've grown to realize that my Moon in Capricorn best explains the bulk of my personality characteristics (reserved, sincere, inflexible). My Ascendant in Scorpio is still something I struggle with. I like it, but...it is what it is. Represents a lot of darkness in my childhood, adolescence and early adulthood. And please, nobody tell me about the gifts Scorpio Rising offers in the long-term. I know about the gifts, they are small consolation. Luckily, I've learned to use my powers for good and not evil. The biggest problem I have WRT my Ascendant right now is the itch it gives me to keep one eye on the political scene at all times, despite the fact that this habit isn't helping my confidence in humanity's ability to survive.IP: Logged |

I feel like it's a pretty even mix of all three - Cancer Sun (which makes me sensitive, caring, emotional, moody, empathetic, protective, maternal and nurturing), Virgo Moon (which makes me very analytical, mentally driven - the Cancer makes me emotional but the Virgo Moon makes me step back and pick apart/analyze what I'm feeling, meticulous, picky, critical, service-oriented/helpful) and Aquarius ASC (which makes me unique - in a way that stands out, especially when I was younger, quirky, an original thinker, futuristic, modern, analytical, mentally driven, concerned with the brotherhood of man/humanity, a bit detached at times and aloof, and in need of a great deal of freedom). When I was younger my Aquarius ASC was most prominent. My Sun was prominent as well but my Moon wasn't, at least on the surface - perhaps it was due to the Cancer drive to be self-protective. As an adult one negative about the Cancer Sun/Virgo Moon combo is it really makes me quite anxious and a huge worrier. It also makes me very cautious. Maybe that's what the Aqua ASC counteracted when I was younger - I was a lot more daring then than I am now. IP: Logged |

I feel all three very strongly. Aqu sun - Lib moon - Aries ASC (Mars Gem/3rd and Jup conj asc/1st). I'm a whacky/outrageous/funny and very pushy person who gets quite angry/caustic verbally with and then feels guilt (must be moon opp ASC). I also feel my t-squ very strongly too (Sun-Sat-Ura, ura at the apex). IP: Logged |

alvarella777: i know how you are feeling. my NN is in Cancer...I just can't see myself following the cancer path. i am too independent, selfish, etcera. but it makes sense to me the more i read about cancer. its about the home and roots and to learn to nurture and protect. i want to be able to be strong enough to protect others and nurture them.

i feel like when i was younger i embodied my Sun- Virgo more.. i was really neat and careful and respected my surroundings and was kind and shy. more tendencies to be perfectionistic, nit picky, and see a underlying order in all things that would make me feel frustrated if it wasnt respected.now i feel a lot more like my Taurus moon.. sensual, somewhat indulgent. i know how to make people feel comfortable. im easy going and avoid stress like the plague. i am forgiving and dont get mad easily. i am playful and childish a lot of the time. as for my Cappy Asc (and Scorpio MC), thats how i feel when im around strangers.. a but distrustful and detached.. a bit serious and stern. i dont open up easily and i dont express my emotions easily. i am not easily playful around people i dont know well or situations i dont feel my best in. Normally, I'm not an attention seeker, but mostly I feel like my Neptunian (Pisces Moon) energy has gotten stronger and more intense as maturity steps into the picture. Although my Leo wants to be in the limelight, I'm more and more of a loner and a independent recluse (appropriately). I know many people here in the past have encouraged me to let my sun sign have all the fun and glory. But unfortunately, I just couldn't will myself because of my independent streak has gotten stronger over the past several years. Also, my 8th house energy has play an contributing role in increasing my resolve and decision. In the end, My Moon/Lunar energy has strongly affected me and has fully given me spiritual contact with other spiritual creativity. "God has given me other things that are more important than what society can give. It has given me freedom, creativity, and a blessed heart to give sympathy when life is rough."

Hey, ERICKA again, that's weird! We also share an NN-problem then! ;-)My NN is in Pisces ... and with that, I am even less happy than with my Cancer-Sun. ;-) I plainly don't like Pisces-people, find them iritating and aggravating and feel a very strong impulse "against" the Pisces-principle! (Although I have Neptune cj, my ASC as well...). Something inside me seems to reject or just don't understand that tender watery element ... I tend to identify much more with the fiery elements in my chart - or with that heavy/brutal/dark Scorpio-load in my chart ... The older I get, the stronger I fell that I need to resolve this puzzling contraditction ... IP: Logged | |
