Hi All,

What does everyone/anyone think of out of sign aspects??

for example late aquarius to very early taurus or scorpio??? fairly close in orb 2-4 degrees....does it still hold significant weight??

Thanks!

I think so.
Your late Aqua planet would be sextile an early Taurus planet (although it's my personal preference not to give a sextile more than 3 degrees orb without extenuating circumstances) and would be trine an early Scorpio planet.

Here's more on out-of-sign aspects (also called dissociate):

These are interesting energies to work with, in that normally Aquarius is square Taurus and Scorpio. I think the energies of the sextile/trine aspects would soften or relax the demands/challenges of these signs which are normally in developmental tension when interacting.

this is what i don't understand!!

if the energies are challenging and normally in square, how can you have a sextiling flowing happy energy? same as first degree cappy and last degree virgo being squared. i just don't get it.

does it have to do with sabian symbols or energy of the degrees, a kind of evolution within each sign? it doesn't make sense to me.

Thanks Aza for the info and the link!!!

HC- I kind of just see it as although the differences are still there, the "negative" energy or tension isn't felt, or at least not as much....kind of the same as an out of orb aspect WITHIN the elements, there are still difference but the tension just isn't as "active"....like Aza said, they are softened....
because if the energy comes from two entities being 60. 90. or 120 etc degrees apart then it makes sense that if they are within orb of that the energy is felt without them having to be in "little boxes" (respective elements)
I'm not sure if that helps at all, or if it makes any sense at all lol...its just how I can understand it...
