Charlton Heston had Mercury oppose Eris with 20 minutes of arc,Ascendant conjunct Geocentric South Eris Node in Scorpio in 1st house with 23 minutes of arc and oppose Geocentric North Eris Node in Taurus in 7th house with 1'23 0rb. His ascendant is oppose/conjunct heliocentric Eris Nodes in Taurus/Scorpio with 57 minutes of arc.

This could indicate his standing up for one's rights(one of the things that Zane Stein listed as one of Eris preliminary keywords)fit with advocacy. I mentioned about Eris in regards to civil rights, race relations matters, and even issues of political correctness as well as diversity in general. He communicated about those things.

Here is some stuff that pertains to all that.

Heston campaigned for Presidential candidate Adlai Stevenson in 1956 and John F. Kennedy in 1960.[11] When an Oklahoma movie theater premiering his movie was segregated, he joined a picket line outside in 1961.[12] During the civil rights march held in Washington, D.C. in 1963, he accompanied Martin Luther King Jr. In later speeches, Heston said he helped the civil rights cause, "long before Hollywood found it fashionable."

By the 1980s, Heston opposed affirmative action, supported gun rights and changed his political affiliation from Democratic to Republican.[17] He campaigned for Republicans and Republican Presidents Ronald Reagan,[18] George H. W. Bush and George W. Bush.

Heston resigned from Actors Equity, claiming the union's refusal to allow a white actor to play a Eurasian role in "Miss Saigon" was "obscenely racist."

According to his autobiography In the Arena, Heston recognized the right of freedom of speech exercised by others. In a 1997 speech, he rhetorically deplored a culture war he said was being conducted by a generation of media, educators, entertainers, and politicians against:

"...the God fearing, law-abiding, Caucasian, middle- class Protestant-or even worse, evangelical Christian, Midwestern or Southern- or even worse, rural, apparently straight-or even worse, admitted heterosexuals, gun-owning-or even worse, NRA-card-carrying, average working stiff-or even worse, male working stiff-because, not only don’t you count, you are a down-right obstacle to social progress. Your voice deserves a lower decibel level, your opinion is less enlightened, your media access is insignificant, and frankly, mister, you need to wake up, wise up, and learn a little something from your new-America and until you do, would you mind shutting up?"

In an address to students at Harvard Law School entitled Winning the Cultural War, Heston said, "If Americans believed in political correctness, we'd still be King George's boys - subjects bound to the British crown."[23] He went on:

"The Constitution was handed down to guide us by a bunch of wise old dead white guys who invented our country! Now some flinch when I say that. Why! Its true-they were white guys! So were most of the guys that died in Lincoln’s name opposing slavery in the 1860s. So why should I be ashamed of white guys? Why is “Hispanic Pride” or “Black Pride” a good thing, while “White Pride” conjures shaven heads and white hoods? Why was the Million Man March on Washington celebrated by many as progress, while the Promise Keepers March on Washington was greeted with suspicion and ridicule? I’ll tell you why, Cultural warfare!"

He later stated, "Political correctness is tyranny with manners."

I actually liked him as an actor. I loved his movies. My favorites of his are Ten Commandments,Ben Hur,and El Cid. and I also watched Dynasty:The Colbys which he starred in as the patriarch of the Colby Clan.

I don't believe that there is anything wrong with having white pride, black pride, hispanic pride,or any pride of one's race, nationality. My late maternal grandfather had Portuguese pride to the point that even referred to all his grandchildren as little Portagee after we're first born, and I think that's kinda cute.
I see nothing wrong with me having multiracial pride. Tiger Woods have no problem with it either with his referring to himself as Cablanasian.

Therefore,I believe that Charlton made some good points.

I am not for affirmative action. I believe that people should not get in based on race...especially if they are chosen over more qualified people. I believe that everybody should be treated equally.

I admit that I am not an Afrocentric type. I am a multicultural type. I notice, acknowledge racism as a multiracial problem. Any racism, bigotry of any race is wrong. Both the Farrakhan wannabes and the David Duke wannabes both irritate me.

I also believe in the rights to bear arms. I believe that people have the right to defend themselves. However,I believe that mental health screening should be mandatory.
I am saying this especially as a person who and whose mother was drastically changed by gun violence by a schizophrenic a long time ago. I can see both sides of the issue.....the right to defend yourself and the need to keep guns away from troubled types.

I would never own a gun.

I grew up and live in Sacramento,CA.

Here is an interesting fact about my hometown that I am proud of.

Sacramento is notably diverse racially, ethnically, and by household income, and has a notable lack of inter-racial disharmony. In 2002, Time magazine and the Civil Rights Project of Harvard University identified Sacramento as the most racially/ethnically integrated major city in America.[11] The U.S. Census Bureau also groups Sacramento with other U.S. cities having a "High Diversity" rating of the diversity index http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sacramento,_California
