I don't know if this is the right forum to post this but here goes:My daughter came home today and out of the blue she told me she thinks something is up with the number eight. I asked her what was she talking about. She responded that all day at school she thought about the number eight and was accidently writing the number eight. And right before she came and told me that after school she had taken her ponytail holder out and noticed when she laid it down that it was in the shape of an eight. So, I am curious what it could mean. I have always thought of eight in negative terms, so anyone with some thoughts on this it would be greatly appreciated. A few things you should know is that my daughter knows nothing of my astrology/numerology research that I do, I keep it away from my kids. So, she hasn't heard anything like that from me. Also, my daughter is a Scorpio, I don't know if that is of importance. Any help would be appreciated

8? Negative? Let me tell you something wonderful about 8, as far as Linda Goodman is concerned. The number 8 represents the following: "Wisdom, leaning through experience, stability, patience, responsibility... financial security, caution, restriction, self-discipline and self-control... The number 17 represents the following: "... a highly spiritual number..." "... the image of Love and Peace..." "... the ability to conquer failure..." "... "the number of Immortality" and indicates that the person's name (or entity) will live after him..." (infinity) The number 26 represents the following: "...a unique kind of power based on compassion and unselfishness..." So, I wouldn't worry. Thanks so much for your replies. The only reason I think of it in negative terms is because when I was a teenager and played with the Quiji (? spelling) board after we would play it for hours it would start doing the figure eight, so that memory always has stayed with me. And when she said that today that is all I could think about. My daughter is going through a lot of changes right now so your explanations seem to fit more along the lines of what she is going through. She is nine going through hormonal changes, expecting a new little brother next month, etc. I think that could explain it.

Not sure if this will help but my son talked about numbers from a young age, he seems to have a love and feel for them that I don't possess. His grandpa (on his dad's part) is a mathematician so I assumed it came largely from that genetic source. Three people have made comments about him picking up on things he shouldn't know, two of them were weirded out the other wasn't ~ she said "we are all like that in our family". Often on Lindaland I read things were people say how they are able to understand how people are feeling and know things about their lives without being told, I don't think it is that amazing, actually I think a lot of people are like this, they just switch it out or ignore it. So in a round about way I suppose I am saying that your daughter may have picked up on something that she doesn't necessarily fully understand. It isn't something I'd worry about. It probably goes along with a higher than average emotional intelligence which is something that will help her through life. Of course I am guessing, maybe she will be able to tell you if she has been messing around with ouija or something and has gotten upset by it. IP: Logged |

Well I had to go look up that term in a medical dictionary...LOL...because I have never heard of it. I don't think that she has that ability. She is mathematically talented, so maybe its just a math thing. And it may not mean anything it could be that eight is just the first number she is consciously recognizing that it shows up coincidently. Thanks again for all of your thoughts on this. IP: Logged |

I saw that 8 lying sideways the other night. there must be something in the air...I keep seeing the number 555. I lost count of how many times I've seen it in the past two days. I just googled it and I got this:

That is very weird it must be in the air...I myself keep catching the clock at 11:11, no eights like my daughter. My daughter has only mention it one other time to me since my original post. So, who knows whats going on with all of us.IP: Logged |

I've heard of this before, I read its suppose to represent a form communication from guardians(angels)letting you know they are there, its nothing to worry about. There have been quite a few occasions where I had looked at the clock and saw the numbers 4:44...a link with a few number meanings
