Everyone gets hit with the urge to pick up a good book from time to time, but with so many tempting tomes sitting on the shelves of libraries and local booksellers and countless more beckoning books at online retailers, how can you be sure that your choice will be the right one for your literary taste? Well, you may not be able to judge a book by its well-designed cover or clever colors and captions, and you might not totally trust the reviews you read, but it's a pretty sure bet that you'll enjoy reading the same kinds of books enjoyed by other people who share your sun sign. Peruse the list of books below to find your ultimate read!

Aries
The Ram is a quick, powerful animal, which is fitting for your reading style. When it comes to reading, you want a fast-paced thriller to keep you involved, and The Appeal by John Grisham is sure to keep you on the edge of your seat. The story has lots of political intrigue and quick dialogue to make sure you get your fix of adrenaline, and the ending may have you questioning your true beliefs - and what you're willing to risk in order to stand up for them.

Taurus
Bulls tend to be well-read and love the classics, and because today's bestsellers may be tomorrow's masterpieces, The Boleyn Inheritance by Philippa Gregory is worth checking out. This true tale of the Boleyn women and what happened to them has little mystery but lots of captivating information about what it was like to be a woman in King Henry VIII's court. This book makes interesting reading, especially for Taureans looking for conversation starters.

Gemini
Geminians are quite literary yet extremely restless, which is why you are very rarely found with your nose buried in a book for long periods. The books you tend to love are short, sweet, and to the point, so although Janet Evanovich's novella Plum Lucky may be 176 pages long, it still has enough eccentricity to hold your interest. The great thing about this story is its offbeat characters and crazy plotlines, and although it's a ton of fun, you don't have to finish it all in one sitting in order for it to be a good read.

Cancer
Curling up with a good book is high on your list of enjoyable pastimes, and a tale with a combination of love and romance is your perfect literary match. Try checking out Love in the Time of Cholera by Gabriel Garcia Marquez from your local library or buying a used paperback copy at a secondhand bookstore. It's been out long enough that it's readily available, and the story is engrossing enough to keep you company for many cozy nights indoors.

Leo
You like to sum up your life in one word - drama - so what you have on your reading list has to fit your melodramatic tendencies. Does World Without End by Ken Follett fit the bill? Let's see: Does it have romance? Check. Adventure? Check. Momentous events? Check. Family drama? Check. With close to 1,000 pages of disaster, tragedy, and trauma, this book should have enough drama to satisfy most Lions.

Virgo
Often accused of finding resource books the most fascinating reading materials, you tend to browse through nonfiction books before any other types at the library or bookstore. Combine your love of knowledge with your healthy outlook on life, and voila, you have your perfect biblio-match: In Defense of Food by Michael Pollan. Exploring the idea of healthy eating in a factual and nonpreachy way, Pollan's three essays are sure to appease your appetite for satisfying reading matter.

Scorpio
Scorpions are known for their curiosity, and Scorpio is also the sign most associated with death, so it seems natural that a book called The Thing About Life is That One Day You'll Be Dead by David Shields would be on your to-read list. Basically a study of mortality, this book has a lot to keep you interested, including enlightening scientific data about death and aging, philosophical ponderings, and quotes from historical figures that you will no doubt scribble in the edges of your journal.

Libra
Forever in search of balance, all forms of injustice seem to be a point of contention for vigilant Libra, so meganovelist John Grisham's first nonfiction work, The Innocent Man: Murder and Injustice in a Small Town, is sure to hold your interest. A poignant and thought-provoking book written about an innocent man sent to death row, this true story will have you on the edge of your seat and up in arms at the thought of how something like this could happen.

Sagittarius
Although you're always searching for your next great adventure, sometimes reading about someone else's travels is enough - or at least enough to engage your own wanderlust! Elizabeth Gilbert's Eat, Pray, Love will satisfy your craving for descriptions of faraway lands, and her stories as she searches for deeper meaning in her life will be enough reason for you to add some of the many places she visited - Italy, Indonesia, and India - to your next vacation itinerary.

Capricorn
If you're a true Capricorn, you may spit out your latte when you read the title of your bestselling recommendation, but trust us - it's not a typo! The 4-Hour Work Week by Timothy Ferriss may go against your hard work ethic, but there are definitely some things you can learn from this book. Overworked Capricornians looking for a change will benefit from the succinct wisdom in Ferriss's words, and even skeptical Goats will at least learn how to be a bit more efficient even if you aren't ready to chuck your nine-to-five workdays!

Aquarius
Hope's Boy, written by Andrew Bridge, is an honest portrayal of a public system gone wrong and how one person, the author, not only rose above it but fought to change it. This tale of Bridge's horrible journey through California's foster care system can be a tough read at times, but the fact that he in turn has dedicated his life to improving children's lives will appeal greatly to your humanitarian side.

Pisces
Ethereal Pisces likes to daydream about things that aren't quite real, which is why Sizzle and Burn by Jayne Ann Krentz is your perfect bestseller match. Lots of paranormal events combine with a boy-meets-girl story, which will no doubt appeal to the romantic in you. It's not quite scary enough to keep you up at night, but it's definitely interesting enough to keep you intent on turning the next page!

and a librarian

I've always got several books on the go. Sadly this is right, the shorter ones stand more of a chance.I do go back and finish them normally. I've read War and Peace. Most of it.

My house is full of books. When he was very little my younger son used to like to pull them all off the shelves and sit surrounded by them. I didn't have the heart to tell him off. He liked to carry a book around with him at all times.
