I think it's the second chart that has been married for 20+ years. I think it isn't the first chart because of the saturn square uranus...???? IP: Logged |

I'm not a compositer, but I'll guess the first couple because of the Mars.IP: Logged |

Really tough, because both are nice charts in many ways... I guess this is a trick question, as we are supposedly tempted to notice that the first chart has a great Venus&Mars conjunction in the 7th house and go for that... ;-) The other chart has a lot of lovely and confusing Neptunian influnce, but the first one is not lacking in it either. If Saturn is the deciding factor, then probably the 2nd one (as there are no Saturn contacts with the personal planets in the 1st one), but then Saturn is in the 8th house in the 1st one and that is an important house, so... I have Libra Moon and Venus, so I can't decide ;-) But I do like the first one, as it looks so romantic at first glance :-) IP: Logged |

my first guess would be the 2nd chart, because of saturn in the 7th for longevity and all the nice 1st house placements. But somehow I have a feeling it's a trick question - you are enquiring about a longterm couple hence one would look automatically at saturn. The first couple doesnt' seem to have ANY strong saturn aspects, so one would assume no glue for longevity. So based on astrological factors (saturn) I would think it's the 2nd couple. But I guess we are probably in for a surprise and it's couple no 1 WITHOUT the saturn aspects IP: Logged |

Hmm, I've been studying composites a little bit lately and am learning from whom I consider to be the master elsewhere... I would definately say the 2nd is the more compatible. The sun/merc/venus trine moon (on MC) is lovely BUT I'm not sure about the venus/mars MP opposed saturn- although it may enhance the stability of the relationship. I'm also not sure about the same triple conjunction being square to jupiter- nice aspects to jupiter usually denote longevity in a relationship.
JUST A LEARNER THO! Don't take my advice seriously!!! IP: Logged |

annaf, I agree with your reasoning. As for is it a good or bad placement for Saturn to be in the 7th house, I'd say it's a STRONG placement. It's up to the couple to make the best or worst of it. But to have a planet in the 7th house in a composite is basically good... Again, this is simplifying things very much. The first couple do have Saturn trine ASC, which actually is something to think about too... But like I said, I can't decide. Both charts could signify a long relationship. Tell us already ;-) Edited: Okay, I just noticed the 2nd one has really great NN aspects, and the 1st not only lacks them but also has a somewhat disturbing Moon trine Uranus. My guess is now the 2nd one ;-))) IP: Logged |

How long was the other couple together?I'm going to go with the second one, for many of the reasons that have already been given. It also simply has more aspects. I think aspects provide more glue for longevity. I like how the second one has the chart ruler exactly conjunct the Sun. I'm biased to root for the 2nd one though, since it has a Sun-Merc-Venus conj like I have with my SO. Cute idea for a thread! IP: Logged |

i would sa the 2nd chart.because they have sun conj venus in the 1st house - meaning a strong bond of love between each other Saturn in the 7th - good for longevity in partnership a lot of NN aspects.good ones:trines from all the personal planets.its a lot of growing together kiron trine asc - healing aspect neptuneaspecting softly all the personals give a lot of dreaming, expectations and good flow of energies the doubt here is about saturn oposing asc and skuaring moon , the planet of home together in composite...hmmm the other thing is the Jupiter aspects..althought trines the asc it skuares the personals... Yet i do think its better than the 1st one but my intuition says that this will be a surprise, meaning that no astrological factors can doom or glorify a relationship, and that the persons are the ones who make of it IP: Logged |

I guess I'd also go for the second one, as previously mentioned by everyone else.Although I'm trying to figure out though, what the placement of mars in the 12th house signifies? Passive aggressive behavior within the relationship? Clearly this is one single aspect, but still, I find planets in the 12th house to be deeply fascinating. IP: Logged |

OK, like the rest I'd bet on the 2nd relationship because of that grand trine between the Sun, Moon and Neptune, and because of the Venus/Sun/Mercury conjunction, as well as the Jupiter Chiron trine. However, unlike some here I don't like the look of that Saturn conjunct Descendant. I would wonder if that would scupper a relationship's chances right at the outset, making it more difficult to get involved. The first relationship has difficulties with the Moon Pluto square, but it also has a Chiron Pluto trine and that Venus Mars conjunction boosted by Uranus, so it should be real spicy. I would wonder if their Jupiter square Sun would place limits on the longevity of their relationship or if that would mean both would indulge their relationship no matter what. IP: Logged |

I see that both have the potential to last long. They both have longevity aspects involving Saturn, Neptune, Chiron, etc. If I had to pick just one, I would say the 2nd because the sun there is nicely aspected, and because they have Saturn in the 7th. IP: Logged |

i think if she was reading this board with the responses, tears would fill her eyes. the 1st chart is the couple that has lasted 20 years....BUT..and this is a BIG BUT!...it was a marriage she did for her children, for financial reasons. She is miserable in the marriage but can't leave because of her finances without him.The (((2ND)))chart is her first love/marriage...it lasted about 10-12 years....They were very in love, had 2 children, and generally had a good relationship, although he cheated and found someone, which ended in their divorce. I found it very interested everyone picked the 2nd one. i think shes still in love with him. IP: Logged |
