I just wondered, because I've heard it said that the composite charts does not take into the account the planet's movements, only the space between them, or something (don't ask me, I'm confused).

I like composites. Composites are supposed to illustrate the personality of your relationship, and I think that's useful.

Synastry charts speak more to the interplay between the people, and illustrate where conflicts and harmonies may be found between the two personalities involved in the relationship.

A Davidson composite is kind of an unusual, hypothetical kind of chart in my opinion. It can be interesting, but I'm not sure if I'd personally put any real faith in it.

Probably you should use all types of charts to get the best picture of relationship. However, I think, synastry is the most important.
