*** The title should read "Interpreted," not Interpretated! LOL***I have the Sun in my 5th house, within a degree of being in the 6th. For this reason, Astro and other sites say that it should also be interpreted in the 6th house. When I read the interp for Sun in the 6th, it sounds nothing like me. Does anyone else have a placement like this, and do you find the next house interpretation to be accurate, or if you've read and studied a lot of charts, does this tend to hold true? 8th IP: Logged |

I read somewhere that the you read it as the house the planet is in even if only 1 degree away as the end of a house is not any less influential than the begining of the next house, if that makes sense.IP: Logged |

It depends on which astrology-book you read, I guess. Also, maybe this problem is connected to the "which-housesystem-is-the-right-one?"-debate. I dunno. According to Placidus, my Uranus is JUST on the cusp of the 11th house (under 1°); I can feel Uranus in my 11th house certainly, but maybe he could be interpreted in the 10th as well. In the equal it is definitely in 11th house, and in the Whole HOuses system it is even in the 12th house! (My Uranus falls in Scorpio and my ASC is in Sagittarius). DD IP: Logged |

Hi 8th!! (**waves**) I like "interpretated" better..... My Mars is in the 1st within two degrees of the 2nd house cusp. Some of the interps from *each* house ring true for me..... IP: Logged |

Planets move counterclockwise (to the right) unless RxThe Ascendant wheel moves clockwise (to the left) If you have a planet that looks like its getting ready to go into the next house (like H. 4 to 5) What it's actually doing is coming from that house (5th to the 4th) Because of the direction of the Ascendant wheel. Hope I explained that right (or so everyone can understand it) Out IP: Logged |

Thanks all, for the input!(Hi Z! You know I'm a good one for accidentally making up words! My tongue was covering my eye teeth and I couldn't see what I was saying! LOL) Lala...so does this mean that my Sun just came from the 6th into the 5th and the numbers decrease as they go round the wheel? ETA: Nevermind, you said counterclockwise. So my Sun was about to enter the 6th until I disturbed it's course of action through my birth! I do have Saturn in the 6th conj my sun...maybe that's why I can't feel it? Thanks! 8th IP: Logged |

Yes EighthMoon, Your Sun is coming from the 6th. You read both interps because your planet is coming from there.Fan your hand out in front of you and turn it to the right, That is the ascendant wheel. If you think about it that is the only direction it can go for numbers to increase Now again hold your hand out and turn to the left, that is the direction the planets move (except Rx) It takes much longer for a planet to move one degree (to the right) than it does for the Ascendant to move a degree (to the left, one degree every 4 minutes) Hope that helps

Wooooaaaahhhhh... I always thought the planets moved in the order of the signs...so that if my sun is a late degree Pisces, it should be moving into early degrees of Aries. I'm such a visual learner...thanks for the explanation moving the hands! 8th IP: Logged |

Well I'm sorry for my very late input.I heard that this applies to planets that are up 5 degrees behind the next cusp. I have nep in the 8th and often it gets interpreted as as being in the 9th. Sometimes I have the reverse where by 3rd house gem gets interpreted as 2nd! I don't tend to do it myself but I think it is important with the axes. For example, I have pluto in the 6th but it is conj with my DC. I do feel it acting sometime like a 7th house planet but I also see it operating a lot as a 6th house planet. So, I keep it as a 6th with some 7th house ability. I think it depends on what you feel, maybe you should look at it and see how it operates in your life, esp if the planet is near the axes; but in the end, if it is in a house, then it should stay there too! A great little exercise to help you visualize this is to do your natal 2 hours after your actual birth, and then one more time 2 hours after that.So nice to see you posting Izo out IP: Logged |

Nice to see you too, Lynda! I hope everything is well with you and your loved ones. I will not be staying here much, I have to study for my residency exam in the fall. But I hope I will be back again, one day. I've learned a lot in here. IP: Logged |
