For the past couple of weeks, I was wondering why this pesky Pluto conjunction to my natal Moon didn't seem to be turning out to be the big, traumatic, death-bringing, life-changing catastrophe I thought it was going to be. Some of you may recall, I was freaking out about this transit a lot, expecting everything from my mother's death to the disintegration of my own health to bankruptcy, etc. But all that's really happened is...nothing. I had a small improvement in a health condition and some emotional fall-out from that change and that's it. (And the improvement is actually more consistent with stuff that takes place during a Pluto trine to natal Mars, which I am also experiencing at the moment, so I'm chocking the improvement up to that more than anything else.) Overall, I would say that this whole Pluto conjuct Moon thing has been quite disappointing.I pulled my Solar chart again the other day, (just got into Solar charts a while ago, but hated mine enough that I didn't really want to look at it very much) and noticed that hey, my Moon is at the tail-end of Sag in that one, not the beginning of Capricorn like it is in my natal... I've already been through Pluto conjunct Moon! Pluto cruised over my Solar Moon in 2005. And that period of time contained a number of experiences that are exactly like what the books, websites and other astrologers say should happen during a Pluto-Moon conjunction—destructive and purifying emotional trauma, rehabilitation and permanent alteration. No literal death, but a lot of old, bad relationships went by the wayside. I was totally changed afterward. Very Pluto. I was kinda scratching my head about why it didn't feel like anything was really going on. Also, in a strange way, I feel sorta cheated out of my Pluto-Moon transit. ------------------ "You stay young as long as you can learn, acquire new habits and suffer contradiction." I have Moon conjunct Pluto in Libra 0º orb in my natal chart. Come to think of it, I never looked this aspect up. I guess I will now.------------------ Virgo Asc & Mars Gemini Sun Libra Moon Gemini Mercury Cancer Venus IP: Logged |

Why disappointing? Were you hoping for bankruptcy and catastrophe? Maybe this is one of those subtle transits were you look back and try to remember what happened. But there is maybe some internal change that is significant later on. Some emotional shifting ~ it fits well with Moon & Pluto. I have the Square right now. Nothing you could point to exactly but I can feel it rumbling underneath. p.s GG we have Moon at the same point. Though my Pluto is at the @rse-end of Virgo. IP: Logged |

Hey Blue Moon, my bad, I forgot to put orb after the 0º. My moon is 14º Libra and my Pluto is near the end of 13º Libra.------------------ Virgo Asc & Mars Gemini Sun Libra Moon Gemini Mercury Cancer Venus IP: Logged |

It's disappointing to me that nothing significant has happened because I was expecting both catastrophe and positive change. I was expecting...more transformation. IP: Logged |

Maybe time will tell? It may be more internal than external. Crushed to know that I am even older than Got Gemini than I first thought. BOO! IP: Logged |

I am going through pluto square my moon at the moment, and I feel that its for me a psychological event. I have heard that there can be womens problems during this transit, and other health issues. Pluto is also going through my 12 house, so I have that to look forward to for a while. There will be a number of hits with pluto as he goes retrograde, so it will be an ongoing event for a while. If you are tuned in to the pluto energy through your chart perhaps its an energy you are accustomed to and therefore may not feel its energy as strongly as a person who has no personal planets aspecting pluto or no scorpio planets. Just a thought....IP: Logged |

A Pluto transit usually lasts about 2 years. So if it just went exact, you've still got a few more years to go. Pluto goes retrograde quite a few times in a year.Like they say with most transits, you don't really realize the impact they have on you until after the fact, i.e a few years down the road. With Pluto, it doesn't always have to be dramatic. He is ruler of the underworld afterall. IP: Logged |

Pluto squaring my sun was a b&*%^#!WS, be careful what you wish for. Count it as a blessing if you can't remember it and thankful that your transformations were smooth and "uneventful!" Pluto is a surgeon that doesn't always use anesthetic. 8th IP: Logged |

Oooo, EighthMoon, you would have to hit Ms. Mediphobic over here with that kinda metaphor, wouldn't you? OW. Truth is, though, "surgeon who doesn't always use anesthetic" is a description I find more appropriate for Pluto's brother, Saturn, whom I've often called the "table saw of the zodiac." Still, I've found ways to reason with Saturn. Not so much with Pluto.------------------ "You stay young as long as you can learn, acquire new habits and suffer contradiction." I second what EighthMoon said. Besides, I don't think that Pluto conjunct moon is supposed to be as bad as Pluto square or opposite moon. IP: Logged |

Yep...I've heard some good things regarding oppositions and conjunctions. But the squares with Pluto are hard core if it's a personal planet.> IP: Logged |

I reread your original post and I saw that you were talking about the moon in your solar chart. Your moon in your natal chart is in the early degrees of Capricorn, so technically speaking, Pluto is not finished with you. Wait until it moves out for good out of the conjunction aspect with your moon and then come back and tell us if you still feel the same. IP: Logged |

Well, yeah, that was the point of my original post. According to my natal chart, it's not supposed to be "done" with me, it's barely gotten started. But, but...I can honestly post that I've experienced virtually no significant change even though it's made two swings over my natal Moon at this point. Nothing. Nor do I really feel (on an intuitive/psychic level) that anything is going to change significantly in the next 18 months. And now I know why. Of course, I'll post updates, but—I think the Pluto/Moon madness is long over for me.------------------ "You stay young as long as you can learn, acquire new habits and suffer contradiction." Had to add to what you posted last WS. Admittedly, on a daily basis, I was pretty happy most of the time that the square was going on...BUT tons of painful circumstance beyond your control kind of situations. All's well that ends well. 8th IP: Logged |

Hi Wildsheep,You may still get your transition and transformation. The nature of the outer planets is to slowly move forward, then slowly go retrograde and then move forward again. Many, MANY times you experience absolutely nothing during the first hit, but when the outer planet goes retrograde you will feel the energy of it. If you don't feel it during that 2nd hit, you'll definitely feel it during the 3rd. Here's the different formulas of how it can happen: 1. Direct hit - nothing 2. Retrograde hit - impact 3. Direct hit again - nothing Or 1. Direct hit - impact 2. Retrograde hit - nothing 3. Direct hit - impact (again!) Or 1. Direct hit - nothing 2. Retrograde hit - nothing 3. Direct hit - impact Sometimes the outer planet will sit stationary on your natal planet for a while as well, so just because it didn't register this time doesn't mean that it won't register at all. Pluto is currently retrograde heading back toward your Moon and will be near it for quite a while, so you've got some time to decide how you want to benefit from Pluto's power on your Moon. Start making plans for the transformations you want to make. Geocosmic Valentine ------------------ "Everybody is a star!" Sly & The Family Stone IP: Logged |

Yeah, same things happening with me: Pluto is currently in the process of squaring my Venus and Mars... the transit began in January, and I have yet to feel anything yet. I'm sure I will feel something in the coming months or year. It's not always immediate.oh, and right after the Pluto square Venus/Mars transit, I'll be going through a Pluto opposition Moon transit... and then a year or two later, I'll be going through Pluto conjunct Sun transit. ..Pray for me! Geocosmic Valentine—THANK YOU. That's a great breakdown of the experience of outer-planet transits (much better than what I've found anywhere else).Another reason I was expecting "more" to happen more quickly is that when Pluto trined my Venus beginning in early '06, it didn't take very long for that to "kick in," and the experiences that went with it really didn't let up 'till the transit was done. Totally overwhelming. I thought this would be the same way. I also thought Pluto's trine to my Mars would "get me" right off the bat, but I didn't really feel much until these last couple of months (the rough "third pass" of Pluto over Mars). Your posts are excellent, thanks again. IP: Logged |
