hello! well i was reading Lara's thread and 23, you mentioned the fixed stars. I had taken a look at it before but i didn't really know the interpretation so i just left it, but after reading what you posted i checked my placements again.well, i have Antares on my ascendant, Aldebaran on my descendant, and Regulus on my Saturn. How would you interpret this? on the link you posted it says it's is not good when Regulus is conjunct a malefic. and Antares on my ascendant sounds just scary!! IP: Logged |

wow, i got hooked to it for a sec... on the other link of astrologycom, they describe Antares as a fortunate star (phew...) quote: Antares * Heart of the Scorpion A Royal Star. The Archangel Oriel, the Watcher of the West. Spirit of adventure, obstinacy, injuries to eyes, honours, sudden loss, stubborn, suspicious, violent, several marriages
and below i found that my Sun is conjunct the GALACTIC CENTER!! funniee, whatever that means. quote: Galactic Centre A vast Black Hole at the centre of our galaxy, discovered 1932; source of energy, motivation, aspiration; alien consciousness; crisis of faith; travel; education; philosophy; spiritual urges; single-minded dedication

Woah! A post directed at me Lechien - I really don't know what to say about asteroids, I'm much in the dark myself. I only talked about them on my post because Seeing Stars raised them and then I remembered where Regulus was and connected it with Lara's asc You might want to check out the two links I provided in one of my posts: http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/017505.html http://www.aquamoonlight.co.uk/fixedstars.html
http://www.astrologycom.com/fixedstars.html I can only say that if they are in an important part of your chart, then take note of them. You obviously have done that. Then its a matter of using interpretive skills such as aspects and what houses they fall in. I can only say that the stars that you have listed are powerful, positive stars and that in relation to: Anteres-asc: use aldebaran's in developing personal self or it may indicate a successful and unified projection of self Aldebaran-dsc - use that in developing in relationships and have integrity in your relationships for success. Regulus-saturn - I read somewhere that it isn't good to have that but seriously, a conjunction is both positive and negative. Parker says its the strongest aspect for a fixed star to have but I think that with this aspect in particular, it says to me that if you work hard you can achieve what you want. If you don't, then maybe you won't. It also depends what else is in your chart relating to this conjunctive pair. If there is something trining these two, the use the energy of that to help with the conjunction. Hope that helps, I'm only an amateur.... PS my unaspected venus sits on the Galactic Centre too. Makes it sounds even more out there.... IP: Logged |

Otherwise, the meanings of Aldebaran and Anteres are as follows from Parkers:Aldebaran - This star has many of mars' qualities. It indicates success, but to achieve ambitions a subject may well take action that goes against his or her integrity. If so, he or she will pay dearly for this weakness. It is vital to aim to be straightforward and uncomplicated. Anteres - An extremely potent star that encourages the utmost action and determination. As a "Regal Star", it bestows success of the nature of the planet that it contacts. But the tendency to over-dramatise is present. Its influence is sympathetic and in turn with the sign of its constellation. IP: Logged |
