Obama Assassination
This KKK leader claims Barack Obama will be assassinated quickly if
elected president. http://www.ebaumsworld.com/video/watch/377721/

I believe that if Obama even gets the Democratic nomination, the KKK
recruiting will greatly increase.

There were more than 600 hate groups in USA in 2000. There are 844
hate groups now. 23 hate groups were founded in Illinois in 2006...up
from 16 in 2000.

I looked at the chart of the KKK.

Klu Klux Klan was formed on December 24, 1865 by exConfederate
soldiers in Pulaski,Tennessee
I used noon because birthtime is unknown

As you know, there will be a t-square of Venus square Saturn-Uranus
opposition on Election Day 2008

well.....transiting Venus will be conjuncting KKK’s Venus-Mars
transiting Saturn-Uranus opposition will be squaring KKK’s Venus-Mars
- restrictions, tensions, disrupting the old ways affecting KKK’s
values which can lead to anger, violence

Transiting Pluto will be conjuncting KKK’s Mercury - KKK’s thoughts
are intensified,can fit with conspiracy theories,and plots,paranoia

Transiting Jupiter will be squaring KKK’s Lunar Nodes - KKK’s karmic
path is conflict with the current expansion, beliefs
conflict of religion,ideals,

Hard Aspect synastry between Obama and KKK

KKK’s Saturn
conjuncts Obama’s Neptune - 1’03 and parallel Neptune - ’09
(Saturn-Neptune occultation)
squares Obama’s Sun - 2’38
KKK can limit,restrict Obama’s idealistic,inspirational self
expression/ego

KKK’s Pluto squares Obama’s Sun - ’08 - KKK’s intensity,power in
conflict with Obama’s ego,self expression.....a deadly combination

KKK’s Uranus conjunct Obama’s Venus - ’20 - can indicate KKK’s can
disrupt Obama’s relationships,harmony

KKK’s Mars square Obama’s Mars - 2’11 - can indicate violence conflict
between KKK and Obama...can indicate enemies

I am using 1:06 PM birthtime for Obama which is highly questionable,
and so I didn’t bother looking at Moon,Ascendant, and Midheaven

This looks alarming.

I really hope nothing will happen.

And that KKK - I don`t have words to say how much I detest racism. And I don`t understand it. I don`t get it, why the colour of your skin, religious beliefs, sexual orientation etc. should matter.

It`s making me so angry and sad and confused, because I can`t understand.
We are all humans, we are the same family (with different branches, I agree, but from the damned same old tree).

Sorry, I know this is not astrologically related, but your thread just made me so sad, reminding me of the injustice and narrowmindedness that still holds the human race (or a part of it) captive.

Glaucus - from your last other thread, I am kinda weary to comment on your threads because you might take my words wrongly and become snappy with me.

You always post interesting topics that touch a chord in me.

I just wanted to say that I am always reading.

Cheerio.

I don't think Obama has anything to worry about. It looks as though most young white people are going to vote for him. I think this goes to show how far race relations in the US have come in the last 50 years. Now, I know things are still not perfect, but since 9-11, there has been a sense of comeraderie (at least for me) with most of Americans regarding race.

The theory that any black man that gets elected will be assasinated by the KKK has been around since Jesse Jackson ran for office.

If the KKK is sooo powerful, why haven't they tried to assasinated other powerful black people in office? Colin Powell? Condi Rice? What about all the other powerful black people that run our government?

I think this is just a fear tactic that some ignorant people put out there in order to discourage black folks from running for the office of the president. It's a wonderful thing those running are too smart to fall for it.

Nope...I hope that you're not implying it. Because things like that can **** people off. I don't like people assume things about people.

I live in Sacramento,California. I have never been in Illinois.

In regards to my religious beliefs, they fit with Neopaganism,New Age,and Unitarian Universalism as well as New Thought.

I started going to a a unity church which a church based on New Thought. The senior pastor is a black man and the junior pastor is white woman. The congregation is so multiethnic that it's like the United Nation. People of all ethnic backgrounds go there. I love that type of atmosphere...especially coming from a multiethnic, multicultural background. I even have United Nations conjunct the Antivertex with 17 minutes of arc in my natal chart.

I do agree with some of the things that Jeremiah Wright said in regards to racism being a serious problem in USA including discrimination, bigotry, disparities involving Blacks and agree with his view on USA foreign policies. I don't agree with his views on AIDS though. As a neurodivergent, I don't agree with his view that there are brain functioning differences between blacks and whites even though I agree with him that different doesn't mean deficient. There are many people who do believe that Blacks have low intelligence,IQ's. There are even people who throw statistics showing that Blacks have an average IQ of 85 compared to Whites have have an average IQ of 100. Pointing out the fact that KKK and other hate groups exist here in USA doesn't mean that a person goes to Rev Wright's church. I am anti-racist person because of my multiethnic/multicultural background, born to black man/white woman couple, experiencing racism myself. Racism is multiethnic problem.
I am anti-sexist too because I am a male who doesn't fit the traditional stereotype. I am anti-homophobic because I believe in gay rights. I believe that gays should have all civil rights including marriage. Both Mildred Loving and Coretta Scott King believed that gay marriage is a civil right and that religious, ideological beliefs shouldn't keep gays from being married like they did with interracial marriages. It was the Lovings Supreme Court win that led to all interracial marriage laws struck down in USA.

I believe in unity of all ethnic groups.....especially my having a white mother and black father.

I believe in the dream of my fellow Pisces Moon Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. My black father had Moon in Pisces, and he had the same ideals to the point that he didn't care that mother was white. It was Dr. King's inspiration that made it possible for my parents transcend ethnicity to be together to bring me into the world. I was raised to be tolerant, accept, and love people of all ethnic groups.

One of the things that I like about Astrology is that it shows that we can have similar and different placements, aspects that indicate similar personalities, psychological profiles, etc regardless of ethnic group, color, religon, gender, creed. Astrology doesn't discriminate in that way.

So there is Neptunian/Pisces reason that I am an astrologer.

Racism is still a big issue. If anybody thinks otherwise,he/she's blind.
As a multiethnic person,I am an idealist in that I wish that we all get along, love each other, and treat each other like fellow human beings. I am a realist in that I see that racism is still a serious problem.

My first time being called the n'word was on my 9th birthday by a blue eyed blonde gal who I played with and went to school with. The last time that I was called the n'word was in 2004 in an Astrology chatroom on yahoo after I had confronted the white guy for calling arabs, sand-n'words. I was furious. What made me more furious is that a lot of people in the chatroom thought I was overreacting and that it shouldn't bother me.

In 1991, I also knew a white navy doctor who believed that multiethnic people like me are biologically psychological messed up because of our mixtures. The sad thing is that I even believed in it for awhile.

It was mainly white kids that called me "retard" when I was in special education for my Dyslexia,Dyspraxia.

Retard,n'word are the 2 words that anger me the most.

I agree with a lot of what Reverend Wright said. I disagree with him about the AIDS being created for blacks though.

A lot of White ministers have said things so controversial and bigoted, they don't get condemned like a black preacher who focus on the racism issue and points out that racism is still alive and well.

Overlooking racism may lead to undiagnosed mental health disorders http://www.eurekalert.org/pub_releases/2003-09/vu-orm091503.php

Being African American increases a mentally ill individual’s chance of being diagnosed with schizophrenia and reduces the likelihood of that person’s receiving an affective disorder diagnosis. While data have pointed to this fact for several years, psychiatrists are beginning to assess the ramifications of this finding for blacks and how it adds a host of complicating factors to their treatment. http://pn.psychiatryonline.org/cgi/content/full/36/10/17

CONCLUSIONS: The study suggests the possibility of racial and other disparities in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with schizophrenia and comorbid affective and anxiety disorders. Although various causal explanations are plausible, all point toward the need for enhanced cross-cultural competence at all levels of mental health care, especially in the diagnosis and treatment of comorbid psychiatric illnesses. http://psychservices.psychiatryonline.org/cgi/content/full/52/9/1216

Clinical Depression And African Americans http://www.health.am/ab/more/clinical_depression_and_african_americans/

Dec 1, 1999 | It took only a few weeks on the job for William Lawson to notice that there was something very strange going on. The psychiatrist had just joined the staff of the John L. McClellan Veterans Hospital in North Little Rock, Ark., and already he had seen patient after patient -- dozens of them, as it turned out -- with the same ill-fitting diagnosis. All African-American men, all veterans of combat in the Vietnam War, they suffered from terrifying nightmares, gut-twisting anxiety, flashbacks of fighting -- classic symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Yet they'd been assigned a very different condition: schizophrenia. http://dir.salon.com/story/books/it/1999/12/01/schizo?sid=476003

Are schools failing black boys?
Eight percent of the children in America’s public school are black boys, yet their representation in the nation’s special education classes is nearly twice that: 15 percent. African American males are also three times likely as white males to be enrolled in special education programs for "mildly to moderately mentally retarded," according to a 1992 report released by the Office of Civil Rights. http://www.terry.uga.edu/~dawndba/4500FailingBlkBoys.html

The purpose of this research was to evaluate the degree to which Black students are overrepresented and misplaced in special education, as a result of current testing and placement practices, insufficient parental knowledge of special education rights and responsibilities, and the need for more cultural diversity training for teachers. The two subjects interviewed were a special education teacher/chairperson and a principal; both employed in the same school. A class of special education students was unknowingly observed. Interview responses show little satisfaction with the current methods of placing Black children into special education programs. The observations demonstrated that the majority of the children did not need to be placed there. The use of Black psychologists, increased parental support and knowledge, a non-biased test for placement and increased preservice and inservice training was recommended. http://www.inmotionmagazine.com/peterz1.html

Minority parents want prompt diagnosis of child autism
In Hartford, Merva Jackson, executive director of the nonprofit African Caribbean American Parents of Children With Disabilities, said she believes that many black children with autism-spectrum disorders are misdiagnosed as having defiant, oppositional or behavioral problems.
"I think it's just a lack of knowledge" on the part of black families about what autism is, said Jackson, as well as cultural insensitivities or racism on the part of doctors and other professionals who evaluate children. http://www.dailytidings.com/2007/0525/stories/0525_bp_autism.php

According to the federal Household Survey, "most current illicit drug users are white. There were an estimated 9.9 million whites (72 percent of all users), 2.0 million blacks (15 percent), and 1.4 million Hispanics (10 percent) who were current illicit drug users in 1998." And yet, blacks constitute 36.8% of those arrested for drug violations, over 42% of those in federal prisons for drug violations. African-Americans comprise almost 58% of those in state prisons for drug felonies; Hispanics account for 20.7%. http://www.drugwarfacts.org/racepris.htm

Job applicants with African-American sounding names are far less likely to get a callback as are similarly qualified "white" candidates, according to researchers at the University of Chicago and MIT, who submitted 5,000 bogus resumes in response to job ads. Half the resumes bore stereotypical African-American names such as Latonya and Tyrone; half sported traditionally Anglo names like Kristin and Brad. http://www.psychologytoday.com/rss/pto-20030430-000001.html

(CNN) -- Most Americans, white and black, see racism as a lingering problem in the United States, and many say they know people who are racist, according to a new poll.
But few Americans of either race -- about one out of eight -- consider themselves racist.
And experts say racism has evolved from the days of Jim Crow to the point that people may not even recognize it in themselves. http://www.cnn.com/2006/US/12/12/racism.poll/index.html

WASHINGTON (AP) - President Bush acknowledged persistent racism in America and lamented the Republican Party's bumpy relations with black voters as he addressed the NAACP's annual convention Thursday for the first time in his presidency.
"I understand that racism still lingers in America," Bush told the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People. "It's a lot easier to change a law than to change a human heart. And I understand that many African-Americans distrust my political party." http://www.breitbart.com/article.php?id=D8IVQT000&show_article=1

The researchers performed fMRIs on 13 white participants. During the scans, participants viewed a series of faces -– some of which could be consciously seen and some of which were presented so quickly that participants did not report seeing them. The researchers found that for the ultra-brief subliminal images, amygdala activity was greater in response to black faces than to white faces, suggesting that at least initially, black faces provoked a stronger emotional reaction than white faces. http://www.eurekalert.org/pub_releases/2004-12/hu-bar120804.php

WASHINGTON (NNPA)- Some thought color discrimination among African Americans had pretty much blown away with the black cultural revolution of the 1960s and 1970s.
But according to sociologists, academics and other measures of the nation's social barometer, the issue is still rooted in day-to-day life. http://www.frostillustrated.com/atf.php?sid=2381

Failed party promotion underscores color divide between US black women
Yasmine Toney describes herself as a "dark-skinned sista." So when she heard about a recent club promotion in Detroit, allowing all-night free admission to black women with fair or light skin, she was incensed.
"It's offensive," Toney said. "It continues a negative stereotype."
"I'm perceived to be aggressive, assertive, attitude-having ... a lot of things, because my complexion is darker," said the 24-year-old receptionist. http://www.iht.com/articles/ap/2007/10/19/america/NA-GEN-US-Skin-Tone.php

Obviously Wright made some true statements. I feel that a lot of people are blind to the reality of what blacks(especially darkskinned blacks) still deal with in regards to racism, discrimination, bigotry, and mistreatment. When a black preacher points it out, they are seen as crazy, racist, and God knows what else. I have a big problem with that. I am very concerned about how people can be so naive and be in denial about racism. We still have a long way to go to achieve Dr. Martin Luther King Jr's dream.

I want to reiterate that all racism,discrimination,bigotry,and mistreatment is wrong......it doesn't matter if you're Black,White,Native American,Asian,Pacific Islander,or whatever a person's background is.

I also wrote an essay about Race Relations that include pointing out problems with racism which I re-named ethnicism. I wrote from the bi-ethnic black, white perspective.
I wrote about things like how we bi-ethnic people can be torn to have affinity between blacks and affinity with whites. I also talked about the one drop rule that many blacks and whites embrace and try to make us embrace which results in many of us embracing it and many of us defying it. I defy the one drop rule myself. In 2000 Census, I was one of 4.6 percent of the US Population that marked down multiple boxes for race. That was the first Census that allowed people to mark down multiple boxes for race. I took advantage of it. I also wrote about possible solutions that can help help ethnic relations and close the gap between black and white.

For any of you that don't know about the Klu Klux Klan.

Ku Klux Klan (KKK) is the name of several past and present secret organizations in the United States, mostly in the South, that are best known for advocating white supremacy and acting as vigilantes while hidden behind conic masks and white robes. The first KKK arose in the turmoil after the Civil War. It used terrorism, violence, and lynching to intimidate and oppress African Americans.

The first Klan was founded in 1866 by veterans of the Confederate Army. Its purpose was to restore white supremacy in the aftermath of the American Civil War. The Klan resisted Reconstruction by intimidating "carpetbaggers", "scalawags" and freedmen. The KKK quickly adopted violent methods. The increase in murders finally resulted in a backlash among Southern elites who viewed the Klan's excesses as an excuse for federal troops to continue occupation. The organization declined from 1868 to 1870 and was destroyed by President Ulysses S. Grant's prosecution and enforcement under the Civil Rights Act of 1871.

In 1915, the second Klan was founded. It grew rapidly in another period of postwar social tensions. After WWI, many Americans coped with booming growth rates in major cities, where numerous waves of immigrants from southern and eastern Europe and the Great Migration of Southern blacks and whites were being absorbed. After WWI, labor tensions rose as veterans tried to reenter the work force. In reaction to these new groups of immigrants and migrants, the second KKK preached racism, anti-Catholicism, anti-Communism, nativism, and anti-Semitism. Some local groups took part in lynchings, attacks on private houses and public property, and other violent activities. Members used ceremonial cross burning to intimidate victims and demonstrate its power. Murders and violence by the Klan were most numerous in the South, which had a tradition of lawlessness.[1]

The film The Birth of a Nation and the sensationalized newspaper coverage of the trial, conviction and lynching of Leo Frank of Georgia sparked the Klan's revival. The second Klan was a formal fraternal organization, with a national and state structure. At its peak in the mid-1920s, the organization included about 15% of the nation's eligible population, approximately 4–5 million men.[2] The Klan's popularity fell rapidly during the Great Depression, and membership fell further during World War II.[3]

The name Ku Klux Klan has since been used by many independent groups opposing the Civil Rights Movement and desegregation, especially in the 1950s and 1960s. During this period, they often acted with impunity by alliances with Southern police departments, as during the reign of Bull Connor in Birmingham, Alabama; or governor's offices, as with George Wallace of Alabama.[4] Several members of KKK-affiliated groups were convicted of manslaughter and murder in the deaths of civil rights workers and children in the bombing of the 16th Street Baptist Church in Alabama, the assassination of NAACP organizer Medgar Evers, and the murders of three civil rights workers in Mississippi. Today, researchers estimate there may be more than 150 Klan chapters with 5,000-8,000 members nationwide. The U.S. government classifies them as hate groups, with operations in separated small local units. The modern KKK has been repudiated by all mainstream media, political and religious leaders. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ku_Klux_Klan

here is the official Klu Klux Klan website http://www.kkk.bz/

Why do USA allow to have 150 Klux Klan chapters and over 800 hategroups. The KKK and other hate groups increase. It's a serious problem...especially when their hate groups are fueled by the ever increasing non-white immigrants that we have in our country.

BTW...I don't believe that any hate group organizations of any ethnicity should exist....especially if they have a violent past of hurting, killing people and violating their human, civil rights.

I was doing a sociological astrological post about Obama and the KKK as well as pointing out that racism is serious problem in USA.....especially when a half black man is running for president. A president of color is the worst thing to hate groups like the KKK.

then bvanzy asked me if I was attending Jeremiah's church like that person was insinuating that I not only go to Wright's church, but also.....implies that there is no KKK nor other hate groups and that racism isn't a problem like Wright's delusional about racism,KKK,and hate groups when racism when it really is a big problem in USA and there are KKK and other hate groups here in USA. I posted urls of things to back up the racism, discrimination, bigotry as well as the KKK and hate groups.

I am sick and tired of the double standards with white preachers and black preachers. I am also very concerned about the serious ethnic divide in our country. Racism is still a problem....whether it's subtle or overt.

Just because there is no slavery nor Jim Crow laws doesn't mean that racism, bigotry, discrimination doesn't exist any more. A lot of people in USA have those perceptions. They make them obvious. When a black preacher points out about this stuff,he gets slammed far more than a white preachers talks about gays, lesbians, pagans.

There are definitely serious prejudice against people of other religions...especially the prejudice against muslims is seriously increasing.
