I keep reading that Taurus are usually good with money, finances, business, etc. Not really my case... lol... but I thought it maybe was something in my chart that changed that. The thing is, after I started to pay attention to other Taurus' I got convinced I am not the only one. Most Taurus' I know are artists of some sort, either by trade or hobby. I know that it has something to do with our love for beautiful things. Just rambling I think. But I don't see much talk about Taurus and the arts, and I think there should be.

taurus is ruled by venus and these people are highly artistic (bono is an example). what u might find out though is that if other aspects help the taurus is happier if he puts this leanings to build "something", and yes, security! taurus is much more about security than simple money i believe...IP: Logged |

My 6th house of (daily) work & service is in Taurus, and I've got my SATURN placed there (in Taurus). Although they classically say that a Taurus-SATURN would go for "safety" and "keeping the money" first, this is not at all true for me. Just the opposite: I am far too generous/lighthearted with money, and I have diffciulties with self-discipline, I get distracted too easily. BUT: I am working in the arts. And in my work I am quite stubborn, which means: I cannot stand having a "boss" or someone telling me what to do. I must must must feel free and want to direct my work all by myself! In fact, I've been working on a freelancing basis for most of my life, for about seven years in a row now.IP: Logged |

Youre not the only one! I'm not great with money, business, finances either. I'm generous to a fault, highly artistic & scatterbrained. IP: Logged |

What winky said.Don't forget love of nature and the Taurean. Plenty of beauty in the natural world. My father has 6 planets in the 2nd house, 4 are in Taurus including the Sun. Walking in the countryside is one of my strongest childhood memories. Actually, I have Venus in Taurus! The love of good food is also very Taurean. My best pal's partner is a chef who has also worked as an interior designer and garden designer. Another strong Taurean character. Thinking of the presentation of cuisine in the swisher establishments it does tie in. IP: Logged |

I know several well-established adult Tauruses, and my observation is that they get better with money over time. IP: Logged |

Well I think its more complex than saying Taurus this, taurus that. Best to look to 2nd house ruler. Also in general, look to the state of their venus, pluto (ruler of 8th) - what houses and aspects. For example, a Tau with venus opp jupiter might be a big spender. IP: Logged |

I am pretty good with money and my career (before l had my 3rd son) was building/creating fabulous interiors/apartments/houses. I'm good at spotting trends in the market, for instance knowing/sensing which areas will flourish next in the housing market or which way the economy is going. For instance, l think the US economy is going to improve with the US$ reaching 1.7 against the UKŁ by end of this year. The UK economy is going to worsen. Things like that lol IP: Logged |

Looking at the synastry from "OMG", your venus is the 8th, it seems to be conj NN, saturn, moon and these are all trined by Jup in 12th. This means that money/beauty are part of your path (conj NN), that you are maybe shrewd or discplined with your money (conj saturn) but maybe emotive about it as well (conj moon). However because this occurs in 8th house and jup is 12th (the abundance of money and luck with it), these houses are highly visceral and "psychic", so you have hunches and know secrets about money (8th/12th) and maybe feel certain predictive emotions about money cycles (moon in 8th). I can't figure out if libra or virgo is on the 2nd. If libra, it will tie in with what I said. If virgo, then look to mercury - where it is in 9th and conj sun - making money through one's self in areas of 9th house (education, philsophy,, law travel etc). Venus also rules hobbies and values too. Woe my unaspected venus in 9th IP: Logged |

I'm a taurus. I and most people consider myself good with money, but I get what a lot of you are saying. But you should ask yourself if your not good with money, or you if you tend to make enough to do what you want with it. It's not about saving it, if that's not what you want to do. Point blank. Taurus isn't about making money, for the sake of making money. We tend to see it as a means to something else, and for those that are artistic, you probably don't need much but your supplies, so that's all you strive to get. Taurus, tend to get set in a certain type of thinking or steady path, so you possibly could be good at it, but just don't really want to right now, but if you ever need it, you may suprise yourself. I am only good with money, because I can always earn it. I've had over 12 jobs, and I'm 22 lol. The sick part is I like working, I like earning. I don't save, but part of that is because I don't really have to right now, because of my age. I just bought a new car, a 2008 in January of 2008, I have two cell phones, designer bags and purses, and I spend money on expensive health food and beauty products. I tend to not buy anything and then go to the mall and buy a new wardrobe. But, on the other hand, my major is accounting. and I was hired as an admin assistant at my job, but somehow my boss got me involved in book-keeping. There is definitely something true about the Taurus/Money connection...atleast in my case. Taurus - Sun Pisces - Rising Cap- Moon IP: Logged |

And Im artistic as well. I loveeeee music. I just finished a ceramics class. I am signing up for a cake decorating class, and I love to sing, so I'm taking vocal lessons. I love art and creativity. I like make-up, and furniture and interior design. So the artistic part is also very true, for me too. I think that's why some people mis-understand us, as being materialistic. There's a difference between liking pretty things, and liking stuff because you think other people will like it. IP: Logged |

MainLineIt sounds like you are a lot like me too... You said your boss got you in book-keeping. I understand that part as well. I usually sign up for an entry job and a couple months later I am in a higher position that would usually take someone years to get. People see me as responsible and dependable, even if I don't. LOL I just get bored easily. If a job is constraining I need to get out of there... fast. About you being 22, I am not saying you need to do some major investing, but I would suggest you start saving a little bit, maybe get a money market account somewhere, or even savings will do, and throw $20 a week there or whatever you can. You been young means you don't need to save a lot of money at a time, and you should enjoy this while you can because the more time you wait to start saving money the hardest it gets. Ok - it looks like I just contradicted myself as far as not been interested in finances... but it is so much easier to GIVE advice than to take it lol IP: Logged | |
