I just read something that says the Aquarian Age begins in 2600, yet I remember reading in Star Signs that, the Aquarian Age has already started. Unless I misread, which is very possible, lol. Can anyone clarify this for me? ------------------ Aries Sun Moon Sag Scorpio Rising IP: Logged |

I thought it started somewhere in the late industrial period myself....explains the technological advancement if so, the cooling off of human relations (eg internet v close personal ties associated with pisces age) and the human rights movement. IP: Logged |

There is something called the great year which lasts 25,000 years - I think Parker's Astrology has this down in their book. Each age I think lasts 2,100 years or so. The progression of signs seems to go backwards from what I can recall. The Parker's talk about the age of Taurus, Aries and Pisces. It doesn't make sense if the age of Aquarius started in 2600. With the birth of Christ 2000 years ago and going through the age of Pisces with the rise of Christainty etc it should surely show now that we are in the age of Aquarius cause if you look now - see how technical the world is now. Everybody id hooked up on the internet and we can communicate from where ever with cell phones and Blackberries. Our other focus is on the enviroment and global warming - Look at how many campanges there are out in the world to recycle and conserve stuff. Each day I see more and more environment and world saving ideas and ads out there. It is in my opinion that the age of Aquarius has begun and Christainty has seemed to have not had a strong emphasis on the world over the past few years. It seems like the "new age" holistic and natural means of dealing with things are coming into play now - alternative methods... My 2 cents worth!! ID IP: Logged |

I don't know much about this topic, but the Age of Pisces is also known as the age of spirituality. Since the the progression of signs is backwards, the traits of each age might lower bit by bit. In this case, the spiritual issues of humanity might seem to be less and less valued by time (while we are heading towards technology and such, which are traits of the Age of Aquarius).IP: Logged |

Maybe it is for the astrologers of the future to determine when the Age of Aquarius exactly started... I mean it seems it can only be seen clearly in retrospect. My personal feeling is that it has already started (technology etc.)...And maybe some of us will be among those future astrologers :-) IP: Logged |

Thanks Inner depths, that article and what you wrote were very inciteful. Comica I agree with you, it does not seem like there are very many traits of the Age of Pisces left in our world today. And Lana, totally agree with you too. Its funny with my very insignificant and infantile intuition I feel like we are in the dawning of the Aquarian age and that it was ushered in by the hippie movement. Its very fitting when you look back on it,,

I read somewhere about the Aquarian Age starting in the early 21st century... so, now lol. Something about the vernal equinox point entering the zodiac sign of Aquarius... it changes every 2,300 years. Of course, the 'hippie' movement represented the transition from the Pisces Age to the Aquarian Age. The upheaval of the 60's and civil rights movement is characeteristic of the intense change of any transitional period. For example, the Age of Taurus and the peaceful, domestic, nomadic peoples who discovered agriculture and harvesting, and worshipped Mother Earth, gave way to the new conquering, patriarchal, warring peoples who worshiped the Sun gods and the Gods of War (and hence were slaughtered and destroyed during the transitional period)... the dawning of the Age of Aries.
