It could go either way ~ sums it up really.

Expansion and contraction joined together, not the easiest of aspects. It's not the thing you would expect on a chart of someone who has everything handed to them on a plate.

Given it's time of being around I'd prefer to see it close in orb and/or contacting an angle or personal planet before giving it great significance.

I've got the opposition, btw. As a motivator and luck-provider it isn't the greatest.

thank you for your input! well, it seems that he is possibly lacking in the motivation department but he does have cappy moon and mars, so i think perhaps he just takes a very slow, steady approach in general. i don't know him well enough to know forsure how it manifests.

the conjunction is one degree, in libra in the 12th house. it aspects his mercury (trine, 3 deg), his mars (square, 7 deg), and his NN (sextile, 4 deg).

Doesn't sound like he is going to rush into decisions, but that isn't necessarily bad.

Historically this conjunction was a big deal, some stuff on it here:

no actually, it seems very admirable. as long as he can keep both channels open and working together. sounds like it could bring some frustration though. off to read the link! thanks!!

quote:
Jupiter conjunct Saturn
You are a born leader with a very sound and far sighted judgment. You are exceptionally suited to positions of teaching and/or authority. Religious or financial roles would be ideal for you. You are somewhat reserved and cautious in making career moves, but when you do they are solid, responsible and based on firm reasoning. You have great organizational ability, and accept responsibility easily. You may be conservative, but you also inspire confidence in eventual success.
