Saturn return is not awful if you look at life in a 30 year span perspective. Because now is the time when you remove those unrealisitc fairy tale clouds out of life and get back to reality. In general, for Virgo, Saturn return is beneficial. Don't worry, you are going to take actions on many TO DO List items and start working on the new phase of your life. I wish you the best. IP: Logged |

really, in general saturn in virgo tends to be beneficial? woohoo!!i'm in my saturn return right now. well, my official return is in august/september. but i DEFINITELY feel it right now. and i do have to say, yes, it's been very very nice. i'm really going with it though. i've been preparing! also saturn conjuncts my NN, so i guess i just innately feel that i have to move with it. it's really helped me to learn discernment and keeping myself grounded in the moment. it's helped me gain perspective on all things that used to previously overwhelm me (pisces), and realize the loveliness in the micro is just as lovely as that of the macro. oh and i DEFINITELY feel that one chapter of my life is closing and a new one is beginning. i feel like i'm tying up loose ends now and preparing to really get my life together and become.. an adult! yay!! 'tis my opinion that you will not have a difficult time with this, Unmoved I'm thinking that the Saturn Return is hardest on those who are unwilling to change and grow/mature -- and ummm, that would not be you You've always been one to unflinchingly examine your motives, perceptions and thoughts -- Saturn returning 'home' will only give you *more* personal power than you already possess, luv My SR is rather vague after all these years, but I was one who didn't want to grown and change -- so I suffered some painful events that rudely woke me up and made me reassess both where I was and where I was going..... I've loved Saturn in Virgo so far!! That's my first house and Saturn is doing some (long-overdue) housecleaning I'm getting healthy, and I'm restructuring my life a bit so that I can get more of what I want out of my time here at SchoolRoom Earth. It helps that I have Mars in Virgo for a bit of energy boost to the proceedings IP: Logged |

I am experiencing Saturn in Virgo too. I went back and forth on a lot of Health related research. Now, 50% of my diet is organic, I have started to go to Gym everyday. I don't know whether it is really Saturn, but it seems like living a bit Healthy life.IP: Logged |

The Saturn Return effect was like a comet hitting the ocean. The immediate impact was huge for about 2 years and slowly subsided to a small ebb over the following 6 years. As the impact grew less, the benefits grew more. Methinks, Saturn abhors a vacuum Enjoy the benefits!!

Thank you guys!belgz I found this on: http://www.astrologyweekly.com/astrological-aspects/saturn-conjunct-ascendant.php Saturn conjunct to the Ascendant indicates that you are conservative and self-disciplined in your behavior. You tend to be shy about asserting yourself, so people may assume you are indifferent to them. You have strong doubts about your worth, which makes you cautious when meeting competition. This lack of self-confidence will eventually be replaced by self-assurance as you learn through experience to understand yourself. You do not have the kind of aggressive drive that impresses people on first meeting, but you show reliability, and they learn to depend on you. Others see your good qualities long before you realize them. Self-effacing by nature, you prefer the sidelines rather than the spotlight.
You are efficient in mobilizing your resources and are sure to realize your goals, but you underestimate your abilities. You are a 'slow starter' who needs the reassurance of some successful endeavors before you define your objectives and make careful plans to achieve them. You are prepared to grow one step at a time in achieving the excellence you are capable of. When a decision is required, you tend to hesitate because you want to be sure first. You sometimes miss opportunities for fear you will be ridiculed if you make the wrong decision. Responsible to a fault, you will never let down anyone who depends on you. Learn to love yourself more, so you can feel you deserve the good things in life that you work for so diligently. You can be victimized by people who take advantage of your unwillingness to fight for your rights, but you never forget such incidents. Although not a vindictive person, you bide your time until the moment comes when they need your assistance; then you repay them with cool indifference. I haven't experienced this personally either. Mine is going to happen when Saturn is in Scorpio. Oh, brother! Btw - this speaks of the natal aspect of this, but I am sure we can sort of see how tSaturn might act from this natal aspect. Hopefully someone who has experienced it can give us a real example. IP: Logged |

Saturn is very comfortable in earth signs so a Virgo Saturn Return will probably be very good. I mentioned in the other SR thread that my Taurus Saturn Return was wonderful - I got grounded, really organized and practical. I let go of everything and everyone that was no longer working in my life. I found peace. For all you Virgo Saturn Returners, don't worry! It might be a nightmare when your Saturn is water (like Pisces), fire or air but not when it's in an earth sign necessarily (unless you've previously made a gigantic mess of your life and Saturn is busy cleaning house). You'll probably be really focused on getting organized and letting go of things that no longer serve you. I'm sure it will be positive. Just look at the positive keywords for Virgo and focus on that.IP: Logged |

Well... mine happens in an Air sign, Libra. Saturn at that time will be in my 12th House and squaring my Moon also. I could dread it, and I probably do, but what can I do? IP: Logged |

It's not so awful, Unmoved.. it just makes you take stock of what is & isn't working in your life - a spring cleaning of sorts - so you are living a more authentic life, true to what feels right for you. Hey UNMOVED, another member, Mysticr, just asked a similar question - and I wrote a loooong answer (My replies are often too long;-)) I copied & pasted it for you now. Summary first: It's difficult - but rewarding! Don't be afraid! But ... be in shape! ;-)"The Saturn-return helped me in immense ways! BUT: It took a whole lot of patience. My advise would be: Take the tasks, tests and obligations as they come - be prepared to struggle hard - and be also prepared to reap the rewards quite a looong time afterwards. But they will SURELY come! A sketch of my own Saturn-return: I was almost 30 and just about to really "start through" in the career I had chosen until then. I was employed and quite succesful - BUT, but, but: I sensed that this was NOT the right thing for me to do. Despite of all my success I felt very(!) bored, unsatisfied, empty inside. When Saturn returned exactly I dared to make a decision - and quit that job. ANYBODY, really anybody thought I was crazy. Nevertheless I changed my job and started a new one under The Saturn-return-influence. (...) In fact, my salary increased immensely with that new (employment) job. BUT - I tell you something: Crisis increased as much as my salary! I was even LESS content with that new job, it got worse and worse. Again, my outer "success" was undoubtedly there - but inside I got really sad and insecure and aimless. (...) I wasn't able to identify with my job and/or the rewards it gave to me - NOT AT ALL! I felt a stranger to my own life!!!! Horrible!!! And then, almost a year AFTER the Saturn-return was over ... i went after my guts ... and quit that second job as well. Again: All the people around me called me "nuts". BUT I had the strong feeling, I was really convinced that I had to to it on my own - that is: work as a self-emplyoed person, on a freelancer basis. I started that in 2001, one year after the Saturn-crisis had punished me. And then - another year after!!! - in 2002 I was HUGELY SUCCESFUL with my new, self-employed endeavours. I even was able to home-in some "fame", huge rewards, much, much money, much much attention - and was SO happy with it!!! And this started to be the base for all I have been doing since then. I was very susccesful for about 4 years then. I still am. (The next small crisis-phase came, when Saturn went conjunct my Sun a handful of years after ... small rectifications had been necessary). (...) Be brave - let yourself be "tested" for a while. See it like a (sportive) "Duelling Fight" with fate ... if you face that challenge, you'll come out as the champ! It's that ancient image: From coal, under heavy pressure, comes a diamond ;-)" IP: Logged |
