For starters, here is my basic information:

Ascendant: Virgo
Sun: Sagittarius
Moon: Libra

What I have a question about seems pretty basic, but I'm still confused. This is about the issue of feeling more "ruled" by one's moon sign than sun sign. Like, what is the difference between a Libra sun and a Libra moon? I'm asking because after reading Linda Goodman's sun signs book, and interestingly enough, I fit the Libra description a lot more than I do Sagittarius. Except Libra is my moon, not my sun. Well, should I say that I feel I fit the Libra description more often than I do the Sagittarius one, as they both describe me pretty well in certain aspects.

Because that's the case, what should I look for in a natal chart that describes such scenarios? Are orbs involved? I know little about them, but I know there are such things as orbs.

Here's my full chart:

I posted this initially in astrologyweekly, but I think I'd have better luck getting a response here. Thanks everyone.

You've got 4 planets in your 4th House, including your chart ruler Mercury. Hmmm..

I identify with my moon a lot, but I feel I am just as equally rep'n my ASC - my sun, not so much. I am probably the most irresponsible, unmaterialistic Capricorn ever. Kind of strange to feel like a Sag and a Scorp at the same time..

Capricorn sun / Scorpio rising / Sagittarius moon

Mercury:: Sagittarius
Venus::Scorpio
Mars::Pisces

Moon is your emotions, feminine/emotional people often identify more strongly with their moon because that is the energy they express the most. The rest of your chart might give more information too, of course.

This is an interesting topic to me, because I don't feel at all like my moon sign, which is in Virgo. My sun is in scorpio, which I feel a great deal like; I also feel a lot like an Aqua or Gem (air sign). I've done the "simple chart delineation by Walter Pullen" on astro.com and according to the percentages, I'm nearly as much a Virgo as I am a scorpio.

I feel like I identify with my moon sign (Aquarius) about 10 times more than rest of my chart - despite having 3 planets in Taurus!!! Then again, I do have a very prominent, singleton - virtually unaspected Uranus placement in my chart and an 11th house Sun, Chiron and North Node..... phew!!! That might explain it!

My Moon sign plays a larger role in my forecast than almost anything else.

Well id agree about being dominated by moon sign im the same. I feel my venus and moon are very strong in my chart. I have venus at 29 degree (same degree as your moon) and i have gemini at 25 degrees on my MC.

I have 3 planets in cancer but im not very cancerian.

ASC: Virgo

Sun: Cancer
Moon: Gemini
Mars: Cancer

I have Moon in Aries, Sun in Scorpio and Cancer ASC. and Venus in Libra.

I find Aries, Scorpio and Cancer quite similar. Like 2 of them are ruled by Mars. So I see myself as a 'ruled by Mars' person in general. They are also all moody, and kind of emotional signs, I do tend to get hurt by people easily, although it takes a lot to make me sulk. Or act depressed.

And the way I act in different environments, is also a combo of Cancer+Libra. I try not to ever disturb the peace or steal someone else's shine.

So the Martian side of me stings itself when it gets hurt, which is bad.
