If we're going simply by planet ruler of the day, that is.

You think I'd know the answer to this question as I just answered it in another thread, but...I got my hair cut on Jupiter-ruled Thursday last, and am now in a position to have to go get it re-done because the stylist (someone I've never had a bad experience with) left it totally FUBAR.

So, Mercury-ruled Wednesday? Venus-ruled Friday? Anyone?

Hi, I haven't seen the other thread you mentioned, so excuse me if this is info you already have, but since I'm passionate about both astrology and growing my hair I thought I'd share a good site about hair care by moon phase and sign http://www.longhairlovers.com/moon_maintenance.html

I've learned that it's best when my Venus or ascendant are being aspected NICELY by a NICE planet.

The year before last, silly me thought that anytime during Venus in Libra would be okay... what I didn't take into account was that Venus was squaring transiting Pluto... and also squaring my ascendant. BAD IDEA. BAD, BAD IDEA. I ended up, firstly, with a horrible colour that didn't suit me. So when I wanted it fixed, the MORON boss lady at the salon I had gone to said that the only way to fix it (it was a demi-permanent, which is halfway between a semi and a permanent - and my regular hairdresser had recommended that they do a SEMI not a DEMI), was to colour over it a differnt colour with A PERMANENT. The result of this was effed up beyond belief! My regular hairdresser said that this should not have been done and that he could have fixed it himself in one appointment. But because they effed it up with a (completely revolting) permanent colour, my regular hairdresser then had to fix it in stages... meaning it needed to be progressively lightened over like 4 appointments... during this whole process my hair got very damaged! But at least I got back to my normal colour, even though it literally took my hair MONTHS to recover from the damage.

The lesson here - look at the aspects to make sure there is nothing harsh going on!

When Venus doesn't make a bad aspect to your Ascendant. I didn't think there was anything to it, until I actually went to get my hair cut during Venus square Ascendant. Well, let's just say that I'll consider twice the next time.
