I have a friend who is occasionally generous, but for the most part she just keeps taking everything from me. She even took the last morsel of food I had in my refrigerator even though she knew I hadn't eaten everything all day. I finally snapped at that moment and yet she was puzzled at why I was so angry.I constantly have to bail her out of trouble and take care of her and frankly, it's getting exhausting. I don't mind helping out a friend, but when they don't even show a tenth of the consideration that I show them, then I can't help but become angry. After having a long talk with her, I think I'm just going to end this friendship because it's gotten to the point where I feel every ounce of my energy and compassion has been drained. Below are placements and aspects. I don't have her birthtime, so I just put it at 12pm. Can you guys see why she is so selfish? Sun in Leo (tenth house) Moon in Libra (twelfth house) Mercury in Virgo (eleventh house) Venus in Leo (eleventh house) Mars in Scorpio (second house) Jupiter in Capricorn (retrograde) (third house) Saturn in Scorpio (first house) Uranus in Sagittarius (retrograde) (second house) Neptune in Sagittarius (retrograde) (third house) Pluto in Libra (first house) ASPECTS sun sextile moon sun square saturn sun trine uranus moon square jupiter moon sextile uranus mercury trine jupiter mercury sextile saturn mercury square uranus mercury trine neptune venus square mars venus trine neptune mars trine midheaven jupiter conjunction neptune saturn trine midheaven neptune sextile pluto IP: Logged |

We've not got the whole story here. If you could put up a chart that would help as well. My gut instincts is going with the Sun Square Saturn. Not for one minute am I suggesting that everyone with this aspect is a selfish @rsehole, but some wrong choices could swing her down in this direction. Maybe she feels like she has to look out for herself in this life. Possibly she has been let down in the past so has had to develop this attitude to survive. Also she has the Moon Square Jupiter, there could be some overpowering emotions going on. Maybe her insecurity is blinding her to the needs of others. It is telling that she didn't have a clue why you were upset. Been there with with a friend who had Moon in the 2nd forming a t-square with the Sun and Neptune. She had a strong need to feel secure in life, but she made a couple of bad choices, and I don't think she accepted her part in what went wrong, in any case she became very bitter. And guess what, she was a Leo. It is such a warm-hearted sign it is a shame when the Lion goes into snarly sleep and becomes mean and selfish. IP: Logged |

Sorry. Here's the chart: Blue Moon, thank you so much for replying. I think you're right. She hasn't had an easy life and perhaps she's still stuck in survival mode like you say.

Hey,I know someone with Libra Sun and Leo Moon and she shows the same sort of behaviour. I thought only a Leo Moon could cause that kind of "selfish" behaviour, because I also know another Leo Sun and Leo Moon and she's also very, very self-centered. Even I, as a Leo Sun (Taurus Moon), can't believe how self-centered and "mean" some of my fellow Leo's are. But the thing is that they probably don't realise it. Seriously, they're too self-centered and have too big ego's for that... Generally I think that there are different types of Leo's (as with every sign): some are more warm-hearted, some are a bit more vain or a bit more self-centered or a bit more generous, etc. IP: Logged |

Black Lily,Thanks for replying! I know what you mean. I know some Leos who are incredibly sweet and generous. However, I do know another Leo whose jealousy and vindictiveness puts even a Scorpio (just the rotten ones) to shame.

Venus Square Mars can be a tough one to bring under control as I know well from experience. It's grasping ~ in whatever form in takes. On here everything you would expect from generous, warm-hearted Venus in Leo is threatened by aggressive Mars in the house of self-worth and possessions. Scorpio gives Mars a persistent edge. The image I'm thinking of here is the way war born people can hoard ~ my Leonine mother is one such example. She had to go hungry as a small child so she isn't going to go without now. Her fridge is full, and very little gets wasted. I might be on a bit of a tangent here but I think what this is bringing me back to is the survival mode idea. IP: Logged |

Well, I can certainly understand wanting to keep a well-stocked fridge. No one wants to go hungry. I do the same thing in fact. Lol.Also not wasting anything is also a good quality to have, but my friend is so impulsive with her finances, which I guess is explained by the second house Mars. She's always whining about being poor and then she just buys a whole new wardrobe and charges everything to her credit card. She's very wasteful with food, which I find appalling since I had to constantly fight for food as a child. IP: Logged |
