I kow this question must have been asked a gazillion times. So it might just get a royal ignore. But I believe that there are some kind souls out there who would give it a thought. Somewhere in this post (kinda new to Lindaland) is my chart.

Do I have a career in the world of literature as a novelist?

I seee some promising indications for a writing career:

ASC in talkative Gemini, house ruler (Mercury) in 10th, the career house – your express yourself verbally, via your mind/intellect/speech in your profession – and it comes from the core of your being: Sun conjunct Mercury – also conjunct Moon 10th house.

MC is in Pisces: arts, sensitivity, refined taste, very well for the fine arts like literature.

5th house (house of self-expression) with a Libra-cusp: Libra favours the arts (aesthetics) as well. Uranus in 5th house: inventive, creative, original, genuine, brave. Also North Node in 5th: Your “Karma” depends on your (creative) self-expression.

5th house ruler (Venus) in 11th in Aries, conjunct Chiron: bold, daring, high hopes and ideals - great spiritual insight (with Chiron) - appeal to the masses (11th house).

Mars in 9th house: strong intellectual urges.

Neptune trine Venus: you like to revel in your fantasy world, refined and sensitive taste. Neptune trine Saturn: You are capable to make your dreams come true, to produce something real out of your fantasies.

These are just some lose thoughts, but I’d definitely say: YES – go for it. Writing seems to be your vocation.;-) Good luck!

The ruler of the third (communication) is in the 10th.

Neptune is in the 6th (everyday work). A useful place to have imagination if you are a writer.

The more aspiring writers the better. I like reading books.

Hi RD_Gore,

Your chart suggests that you are very cerebrally focused and I’m assuming that it expresses itself mostly through correspondence since your question pertains to writing and/or publishing literature.

The 9th house rules publishing and your 9th house begins in Aquarius. Aquarius is ruled by Uranus. What I like about Uranus’s placement is that it exactly trines your 10th house cusp called the Midheaven. The Midheaven (MC) is our career point. Uranus is directly feeding into that career point, so publishing, higher education, philanthropy and humanitarianism and internationalism can be a large part of your career. So yes, the energies of your chart show a very high probability of you having a career in literature. The planet Mars is in your 9th house also. Mars is work, pure and simple. You’ve got the pure hot energy for publishing.

I also want to mention the possibility of many different careers for you. Often when someone has Pisces on the MC, it can suggest more than one career whether it be simultaneously or one after another.

Do you write about fantasy or the arts, poetry, music, spirituality?

Hi Geocosmic Valentine,

Thanks for the lovely post! My writing till now has been grounded in realism. Although some of my stories have been seeped in magical realism. I have dabbled in fantasy and a lot of poetry too.

Reading and writing have been the only enduring passions I have had. I am doing kinda alright in my career (or the day job, as it is often abused :-)). I am in a managerial position with a multi-billion dollar MNC. However, literature and arts have always fascinated me. I have done a lot of solo acting and quite a lot of drama till I was 25. But after that, the day job grew in its scope and there you go, my lame excuse is ready!

Would love to have something going in the world of literature. Books have been my saviours throughout.

Your valuable encouragement was wonderful! Would love to get any more inputs, if you have the time, that is :-)

Cheers
